Improved Travel Estimation of Activities Assigned to Buckets Using Machine Learning
Starting with Update 22D, the travel estimation of activities that are assigned to buckets (when the 'from' location is not available and only the 'to' location is available) is now based on the reported durations of the field resources belonging to that bucket alone, if enough reported data exists.
Starting with Update 22D, you can import plug-ins to Oracle Field Service using the Import Plugin (POST rest/ofscMetadata/v1/plugins/custom-actions/import) REST API method, thus helping you programmatically install the plug-ins without manual intervention.
Improved Functionality for Find Matching Resources REST API Method
Starting with Update 22D, you can perform the following additional actions using the Find Matching Resources (POST /rest/ofscCore/v1/resources/custom-actions/findMatchingResources) REST API method:
- Specify a range or list of dates for which the matching resource are searched.
- Filter resources by the list of resource preferences of reference activity.
- Filter resources by the list of required inventory.
Improved REST API functionality for Map Layers
Starting with Update 22D, the following REST API methods are added for map layers:
- Cancel maplayer upload (POST /rest/ofscMetadata/v1/mapLayers/custom-actions/cancelLayersUpload/{downloadId})
- Cancel shape upload (POST /rest/ofscMetadata/v1/workZones/custom-actions/cancelShapesUpload/{downloadid})
In addition, the error messages for a failed map layer operation are now improved and reflect the actual reason for failure.
Assignment Assistant: Current Resource Route Impact
Starting with Update 22D, Assignment Assistant displays the route details of the current resource when you move an activity from one resource's route to another. Further, it displays the before and after impact when you reorder an activity within a route.
Did You Know That You Can Get Notified When Customers Provide Negative Feedback?
Did you know that you can configure Oracle Field Service to notify you when your customers provide negative feedback on the Where is My Technician page? You can achieve this by enabling feedback in the Where is My Technician theme and using Message Scenarios.
NOTE: This is not a new feature. It just describes how you can use an existing feature to get the benefit.
Layout and Navigation Improvements
Starting with Update 22D, the layout on the Equipment List and Messages pages is extended, so you can see more columns. Dispatchers can drag the inventory table to scroll horizontally. The user avatar is moved from the global header to the hamburger menu on mobile devices.
Starting with Update 22D, you can cancel the uploading of shape files through the user interface. In addition, if the upload fails, you get an appropriate message.
New Redwood Styles for Configuration Screens
Starting with Update 22D, these pages have an updated look and feel, which corresponds to the latest Redwood guidelines:
- Work Skills
- Calendars
- Work Zones
- Activity Types
- Holidays
Temporary Assignment Visibility of Field Resources
Starting with Update 22D, you can see the temporarily assigned field resources with a different icon on the Dispatch Console and Manage pages. A gray indicator bar with an arrow pointing out of the working time shift indicates that the field resource has temporarily left the org unit. Similarly, a green indicator bar with an arrow pointing into the working time shift indicates that the field resource has temporarily arrived into the org unit.
Time Zone in Assignment Assistant
Starting with Update 22D, an enhancement related to the time zone is implemented in the Assignment Assistant. The time line shows the time in the time zone of the resource to which the activity is assigned.
Update Activity Location: Manual Adjustment
Starting with Update 22D, you can set the exact location of an activity using a repositioning pin on the Update Activity Location page.
Improvements to Collaboration User Interface
Starting with Update 22D, these improvements are available on the Collaboration pages:
- User avatars are displayed next to the names of the users.
- Online/offline status is displayed with the user avatar—a green dot indicates that the user is online and a white dot with grey border indicates that the user is offline.
- System messages, broadcasts, help desks, and conferences display a corresponding icon next to them.
OAuth 2.0 Support in Oracle Field Service—Oracle Integration Integration
Starting with Update 22D, authentication with OAuth 2.0 is supported for all applications that use Oracle Integration. The Add Application and Modify Application pages now include an option to test the connection.
Support for HTTP/1.1 Version in Outbound Client
Starting with Update 22D, the Delivery Channels configuration page has the option HTTP/1.1 apart from HTTP/1.0.
