IoT Intelligent Applications

Asset Monitoring

Asset Management REST APIs Support Non-Default Organizations

Asset management Rest APIs now support non-default organizations. For example, you can retrieve the list of assets and asset types for a non-default organization. You can also use the REST APIs to create, update, or delete assets in the chosen organization.

All asset management related APIs support the optional X-ORACLE-IOT-ORG: OrgID request header. For example, X-ORACLE-IOT-ORG: 2A635A2F-AFA7-490D-92B9-A14D623D087E.

You can find the OrgID for your current organization in the application address bar of your browser. Alternatively, you can retrieve the OrgID from the management console by looking at the device model descriptions for the organization.

If you specify the optional request header, your asset operations use the organization specified in the header in place of the default organization.

Production Monitoring

Use Work Order Based Metrics and Rules

You can now create custom metrics for your organization using data from your work order attributes, such as actualStartTime, actualEndTime, Completed Quantity, Reject Quantity and Scrap Quantity. For example, you can create a metric to report the reject quantity produced for a product, as a percentage of the total quantity produced.

You can add these metrics to your main dashboard, or custom dashboards.

Create rules based on your work-order based metrics to trigger alerts. For example, you can create a rule to generate an incident if the reject percentage exceeds 5%.
