Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
| Ready for Use by End Users Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features. |
Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing. |

A new view for displaying information about a selected vehicle has been added to the application. icon and can be accessed from Menu > Operation Center > Vehicles
> click the Information (

Support for Data Externalization for Extensibility and Advanced Reporting/ Analytics
You can now export Trip data, its related vehicle and driver details, and also performance data (both sensor and metric) from your IoT application and store it externally in your own storage for long-term persistence. Choose one of the external storage options, Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP), Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), or Oracle Object Storage (OSCS), for long-term data availability and analysis.
For example, you can use the exported data on your external storage for advanced visualization, for use in custom applications & analytics, reporting, and integration with third-party applications.
Steps to Enable
You can subscribe to an external Oracle storage license (ATP, ADW, or Object Storage) and configure the respective integration to enable the automated sync.
Announcement for the Deprecation of the Shipment Business Object
You can use the Shipment or the Trip business object in Fleet Monitoring to track, monitor, and perform analytics on shipments that are imported from an external system such as Oracle Transportation Management..
The Shipment business object will be deprecated in a future release. Hence it is recommended to use Trips for real-time monitoring of in-transit movements.
An announcement notification regarding deprecation is visible on all the Shipment-related pages.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Metric Data Visualization and Comparison
From this release onward, you can view the metric data in a chart view and compare the historical data for both in-built and custom metrics by navigating from the dashboard widgets. In addition, you can choose upto 4 metrics for comparison and generate relative performance insights by enabling multiple y-axis chart.
For example, you can create a custom metric calculation to measure the Vehicle Idle Time on a monthly basis. This will give an overview of the fleet utilization and efficiency. You can view and compare the historical values on a monthly basis to understand if you need to procure additional vehicles for your fleet. You can also add other relevant metrics such as fuel economy or fuel consumed to compare the impact of idling on the fuel consumed or the average fuel economy.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
