Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Disabled)

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

Heatmaps

Heatmaps visualize click, scroll, and hover behavioral data to indicate how visitors are interacting with your website. They make areas with more activity appear as hotter than areas with low visitor activity.  By observing where visitors interact most often, what content is ignored, or how far down the page visitors tend to scroll, you can discover new testing opportunities and gain additional insights into your website's visitor experience. Once you begin testing you can use our Compare Mode to analyze tests and look at the difference in visitor behavior side by side. For instance, you could compare two segments or two different variants.

This feature will help you uncover new testing opportunities by examining how visitors are interacting with your site.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Heatmaps is powered by Oracle Infinity and license to Infinity Streams or Infinity Analytics is required to use this feature within Oracle Maxymiser.

This capability will be Generally Available mid-November.

Recommendations

Product and Content Recommendations

A recommendation engine applies machine learning to visitor interaction profiles to provide the visitor with the right list of recommended items. The primary goal is to help customers find what they need or see new items they would not have otherwise found themselves. Through Campaign Designer, marketers can easily insert a recommendations widget, configure the information and styling (title, price, number of slots, etc.), select the appropriate Machine Learning model and apply any suitable filters. Marketers can also target recommendations widgets to different audiences and measure performance through our in-depth reporting.

This new capability empowers marketers to increase cross-sells, up-sells, and engagement by promoting relevant products and content to each customer throughout their journey.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

If you have access to Engage overlay templates and triggers, you will automatically receive limited Marketing Recommendations capability, including the ability to leverage an inventory of up to 2,000 items, the use of the Best Sellers and Most Viewed algorithms, and filtering by category. For greater capability including all use of algorithms, advanced filtering and larger inventory feeds, please contact your Maxymiser account manager for an add-on SKU.

Campaign Designer

Optimal Traffic Split

Adjusting the weights of your experiences at the start of the campaign allows us to find a winning variation sooner without compromising on statistical significance. This effective configuration works hand in hand with our best-in-class statistical methodology that employs a Group Sequential approach. Oracle Maxymiser's statistical methodology provides a clear indicator of the statistical significance of the test results that usually grows daily. Unlike the traditional Fixed Sample approaches where a specific sample size must be reached in order to collect and analyze test results, our Group Sequential approach allows you to analyze test results at any point in time.

The Optimal Traffic Split feature can speed up the conclusion of a campaign by up to 40% and can be applied before a campaign goes live.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

You will automatically gain access to this feature. Simply apply Optimal Traffic Split from the Campaign Overview or Targeting page before publishing the campaign. This feature is only for campaigns with 3 or more variants. Please note that if you have several content rules in your campaign, the Optimal Traffic Split between variant weights is only applied to the unsegmented group of All Visitors, not the segmented visitor traffic.
