Transportation and Global Trade Platform

Optional Feature - Automatic Log Suppression

The AUTOMATIC LOG SUPPRESSION optional feature provides you, the DBA, with the ability to suppress logging for all Log IDs at or above a level of frequency - and by so doing,  allows you to reduce the performance impact that excessive logging can have on the system.

Optional Feature - Disable Custom HTTP Credentials

This optional feature removes the legacy HTTP credentials from HTTP header.

Optional Feature - Log Usage Statistics

This feature tracks log usage over time, providing mean and variance statistics to identify spikes in log use.

Agent Action - Copy Flexfields From/To Enhancement

This feature provides you with direction specific (From or To) copy flexfields agent actions.  With this feature, the previously available agent action COPY FLEXFIELDS now support the copy flexfields From processing and a new agent action (COPY FLEXFIELDS TO) has been added to support the To processing directional approach.  This feature will simplify your setup and minimize the possibilities for contention.

Workbench

Workbench - Adding Content to the Workbench Supports Using Labels

Labels can now be used when adding content to the Workbench

Workbench - Mass Update Support for ID Fields

This feature provides you with the ability to perform a Mass Update against ID related fields in your Workbench Tables.

Workbench Tables - Blank Date/Time Fields Follow User Preference for Local Time Zone When Inline Editing

This feature provides you with improved inline edit behavior for your blank date/time fields.  When blank date/time fields are Inline edited on Workbench tables, they will display as per the user preference time zone and will only default to the UTC/system time zone if user preference is not populated for the user.

Saved Query Flag Honored on the Screen Set When Working in a Workbench Table

Saved Query check box, which is set in the Screen Set, is now honored in a Workbench table.

Oracle Transportation Management (Base)

New Order Release Method Option - Pack Each Item to Individual Ship Unit

This feature provides you with a new order release order configuration option that allows you to model the relationship between your Ship Units and the Package Count on your order release line so that the Total Package Count and the Ship Unit Count are calculated on a one ship unit per packaged item basis i.e., the Total Package Count and Ship Unit Count will be the same.  This option is intended for customers that are sending OTM line centric orders that contain package unit level information and during the shipment building process want to run 3D packing algorithms on the ship unit and ship unit count level of data. While configuring a one-to-one packaged item and ship unit configuration was possible before - the new order configuration option simplifies the setup.

You can use this new option by selecting the Pubic Order Configuration = ONE_TO_ONE_PACK, or you can create your own Order Configuration and then for the Order Release Releasing Logic option One Ship Unit per Line check the option Pack Each Item to Individual Ship Unit.

Order Modification with Packed Information from WMS/INV

This feature provides you with a set of changes that allow OTM to better support the update of packed information coming into OTM from Warehouse Management Systems and Inventory Management Systems. Once an order's SHIP UNIT ACTUAL status is enabled, OTM will apply the line modification and ship unit modification on an order independently - which means OTM will apply whatever the user specified changes are without performing the ship unit building process. The ship units will be propagated to any planned shipments via the OMD agent. If the order is not of the status defined for SHIP UNIT ACTUAL, OTM will apply order modification based on the order configuration as it currently does.

CarrierConnect XL 3.0 Support Service Type and Service Code

This feature provides clients who are using SMC³ CarrierConnect XL 3.0 with the option to configure OTM to take advantage of the additional Service Types and Service Codes offered by the Service Providers that provide content and are supported by the SMC³ CarrierConnect XL 3.0 product.  By default the values transmitted to CarrierConnect XL 3.0 are Service Type = "STANDARD" and Service Code = "Standard-LTL" and all Service Providers supported by SMC³ CarrierConnect XL 3.0 should support this combination. The benefit of this feature is that it allows you to configure OTM to to request additional Service Types and Service Codes beyond the standard/base level of service.

REST - Add POST and PATCH Operations for Order Base Resource

This feature extends the operations available for the Order Base resource to include POST and PATCH.  This is in addition to the GET operation that was available previously.

Execution Features

New Public Shipment Group Workbench

This feature provides you with a new sample Public Workbench designed to support the activities related to creating and modifying shipment groups.  This Public Workbench provides an out-of-the-box Workbench that provides a view into shipments to be added to shipment groups, your current shipment groups, the shipments in the current shipment groups and the orders in the shipments within the group.

Workbench Drag and Drop Action - Shipment to Shipment Group

This feature provides you with a new Drag and Drop action in the Workbench.  You are now able to select and drag one to N shipments from your Workbench shipment table to a target Workbench shipment group table.  The Drag and Drop activity triggers the Add Shipments to Group action to run in the background.

Shipment Group Additional Header Level Fields

This feature provides you with an extension to the data fields provided on the Shipment Group Header.  The additional data fields will improve information access and will greatly reduce your need to drill down to the shipment level to understand the specific matching criteria used to generate the shipment group.

The additional header fields include:

  • Service Provider ID
  • Voyage Number
  • Shipment Equipment ID
  • Port Of Load ID
  • Port Of Discharge ID

Agent Action - Shipment - Add Shipment to Shipment Group with Rule Validation

This feature provides you with a new agent action - ADD SHIPMENT TO SHIPMENT GROUP that - based on the Shipment Group Type - identifies the set of valid shipment group rules for the specified shipment group type and then either adds the shipment to all the existing groups where the shipment group rules are valid/pass or creates a new shipment group if no valid matching shipment groups exists.

Apply Shipment Group Rule During Add Action

For those customers using Shipment Groups and Shipment Group Rules, this feature provides you with the ability to have the matching criteria defined on your Shipment Group Rule validated (or not) when a shipment is added to a shipment group.  If the Validate Matching Criteria option is selected on your Shipment Group Rule and a shipment does not have valid matching criteria based on the rule for the shipment group an error will be raised.

Migrate Shipment Group Reference Number to New Shipment Group Reference Number Table

This feature provides the Shipment Group object with its own Reference Number Qualifier and Value tables.  Previously, the Reference Number Qualifiers and Values where created and stored using the shipment's reference number qualifier and values tables.  This change provides you with more flexibility and independence when defining reference qualifiers that will be available and used with your shipment groups.

Manual Repack Equipment Shipment Action

The Manual Repack Equipment shipment action allows you to easily move a shipment ship unit (or part of a shipment ship unit) from one shipment equipment to another shipment equipment and/or add another shipment equipment to your shipment and then move shipment ship units to the newly added shipment equipment.  You also have the opportunity to delete/remove ship units or move shipment ship units to an order movement(s) for planning on another shipment.

Change Equipment Group Enhancement

This enhancement improves the usability of the Change Equipment Group action by providing you with two new action options.

  1.  The Change Select Equipment option allows you to select the shipment equipment record (or records) that you want to change the equipment group for.
  2. The Recalculate without Service Provider Change option allows you to change the assigned equipment group and then recalculate the shipment cost using the assigned Service Provider.  Previously the recalculate cost option would recalculate the cost and evaluate the option of changing the assigned Service Provider to the lowest cost Service Provider.

Send Documents Action - Send Multiple Documents to Recipients in One Email

The Shipment (Buy and Sell) Send Documents action allows you to send multiple documents (both standard and additional documents) in a single email to one or more contacts, one or more ad hoc email addresses, or one or more printers.  This action also allows you to select a Reply To Contact.  You can choose to send the documents as individual attachments or as a compressed file.

With this feature, you can view and edit your load configuration planning results.  The decision support edit capabilities allow you to move your shipment ship units within the equipment, or you can unpack all or some of the shipment ship units into the staging area and then repack the shipment ship units based on your preferred position and orientation.

Commit Rush Hour Records in Batch

This feature provides you with a number of usability improvements for the process used to generate and save rush hour data.

Network Routing Support for Auto Consolidate Multi-Equipment Single Shipment

This feature enhances the network routing planning logic to support the itinerary leg Auto Consolidation Type of CONSOL INTO ONE SHIP MULTI EQUIP.  This option supports the scenario where OTM merges multiple parallel shipments into a single consolidated multi-equipment shipment.  Merging multiple parallel shipments into a single consolidated multi-equipment shipment is a desirable result in ocean shipping scenarios where the desired result is to have multiple containers planned onto a single shipment all assigned to a specific vessel and voyage.

Use Location Level of Service to Determine Arbitrary Planning

This feature allows you to specify, on the location level, the shipment arbitrary level of service that the location requires.  You can specify the location level of service for when the location is a source location or destination location.

Multi-stop Sequencing Logic Considering Location Calendars

This feature provides you with an improved multi-stop sequencing logic that considers your location calendars in the process of generating the stop sequencing options that the multi-stop planning algorithm uses in generating the multi-stop solution.

With this enhancement, the sequencing logic will eliminate sequence options that are infeasible due to your location calendars. By eliminating the location calendar infeasible sequence options earlier in the process the final set of sequences that are evaluated inside of the multi-stop planning logic are of a much higher quality, which translates into an improvement in the overall solution quality provided by the multi-stop planning logic.

Freight Payment, Billing, and Claims

Optional Feature - Order Release-Allocate Secondary Charge Shipment

This optional feature controls whether the Order Release Allocate Cost action supports the allocation of secondary charge shipments corresponding to the shipments and/or shipment groups that the order release is related to.

The benefit of this feature is that it provides you with a consistent allocation result between how the Order Release Allocate Cost action and the Shipment Allocate Cost action allocates the cost related to secondary charge shipments.

Transportation Intelligence

Load User Information for Analytics

This feature provides you with a new action that allows the DBA to load user related tables - VPD profile and domain grants - to analytics.  Previously, an entire ETL run was required to update the user configuration and VPD information when users changed their roles.

Optional Feature - Load Stand Alone Invoices to TI

This optional feature supports the loading of unmatched/stand-alone invoices into the historical database (HD) schema used for Transportation Intelligence (TI). Currently only invoices matched to a shipment in OTM are candidates for loading into the HD schema.

Parent Invoice Loading and Consolidation Type

This feature extends the Transportation Intelligence solution to include the Parent Invoice as its own loadable object.  This feature also extends the schema to include the Invoice Consolidation Type (Standard, Parent, Child) column.  With the addition of the Parent Invoice object and the Consolidation Type column, you can easily develop reports for your Standard, Parent Invoices and Child Invoices.

Required Folder for All User-Defined Reports and Dashboards

To insure that your user defined dashboards and reports are being saved to the proper location - so they will be migrated from one update to the next - all out-of-the-box folders have been made read-only so you cannot save content in folders other than the shared/Custom folder.

With this change, when you try to save content outside of shared/Custom folder, you will see the error"Access denied for user to path..." or "Can't save in root folder."  If you run across any of these errors - please check the location you are attempting to save to and make sure it is the shared/Custom folder.

Logistics Network Modeling

Aggregate Scenario Results Action

This feature provides you with a new action - Aggregate Scenario Results - which provides you with the ability to see aggregated information within and across a set of selected Modeling Scenarios or Modeling Projects.

When the Aggregate Scenario Results action is run against a set of Modeling Scenarios or Modeling Projects, the action will gather the shipment metrics for all the modeling shipments associated with the scenario, aggregate the results and the show the aggregated statistics in a tabular form. Users can compare the shipment metrics across multiple Modeling Scenarios or multiple Modeling Projects. This action is very useful for summarizing Modeling Scenarios where the Bulk Plan Specification has been configured to generate multiple bulk plans in a single Modeling Scenario.

Simple Template Import

This feature provides a simplified template approach that will allow you (the DBA) to load order releases, locations, calendars and equipment group information using a simplified CSV file format. The simplified format will allow you to quickly and easily load the data necessary to setup your modeling scenarios.

The Send Documents action provides you with the ability to select multiple documents for an object and send them in a single email, significantly improving the ease of providing documents to carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, customers, or any other trading partners necessary.

Registrations - Add Attribute Fields and Support Pseudo-Fields

This feature provides you with flex fields on the registration, as well as the ability to create pseudo-fields from remarks, reference numbers, and dates.

New Content Set Detail Power Data

This feature provides you with a new Content Set Detail power data page. With this page you are able to view the details of the documents downloaded as part of the data load process. GTM creates a new Content Set record automatically each time it downloads a status document at the beginning of the data load process. There are one to many Content Set Detail records in a Content Set, each one specific to a content type such as RESTRICTED PARTY, ECCN MX, HTS US, and so on.

SmartLink from Content Set to Content Set Detail

With this feature you are now able to use a SmartLink to view all associated Content Set Detail records for a specific Content Set. When you access the SmartLinks from the Content Set power data page, you will see a new SmartLink called 'View Related Content Set Details'. When you trigger this SmartLink, GTM displays the Content Set Detail finder result page with all the associated Content Set Detail records.

Download Files from Data Load Process

This feature provides you with a Download option which allows you to retrieve all CSV files associated with a data load including those that loaded successfully and those that may have resulted in errors. In addition, all of the out.xml files, which are the results of the CSV load, are also included. If you have issues with a data load, this enables you to download the CSV files to determine if there was a problem with the file.

Trigger Notification Based on Data Load Success or Failure

With this feature you now have a new event type has been introduced to enable GTM to listen to a data load status change. This helps you to notify a user, using an automation agent, when a data load is successful, partially successful, or fails.

New Agent Type for Data Load Content Type

This feature provides you with the ability to listen to content type events and take action via an automation agent. For example, if you want to notify someone that the HTS-US download failed, you can set up an automation agent with an Agent Type = GTM CONTENT TYPE. When you select this agent type, you can listen for a data load for a particular content type and notify someone when it completes successfully, fails or partially fails.

CSV Upload Status Available on Data Load

This feature provides you with a CSV Load Status that has been added to the GTM Data Load Detail within the GTM Data Load page. In the GTM Data Load Detail grid, you can see each record that was loaded and the status of each record. Since the GTM Data Load is specific to a specific Data Load Type such as HTS-US or RESTRICTED PARTY, you will know which files loaded successfully and, if there is an issue, which file did not load properly. This will help you to troubleshoot issues during your data load.

Trade Program and Tariff Rate Purge Processing Supported

This feature provides you with the ability to purge your trade content data including trade program, tariff rate and supporting data.

Trade Agreements

Item Qualification Manager and Lifetime Events

This feature provides you with the ability to create and manage item qualification data within the Item Qualification Manager. This change enables you to directly access item qualification data through the Master Data menu option. Documents supporting qualification can also be directly uploaded when using the Item Qualification Manager. The same data is available when accessing item qualification data directly or via the item.

Global Trade Intelligence (GTI)

Load User Information for Analytics

This feature provides you with a new action that allows the DBA to load user related tables - VPD profile and domain grants - to analytics.  Previously, an entire ETL run was required to update the user configuration and VPD information when users changed their roles.
