Transportation and Global Trade Platform

User Interface - Redwood Theme Available

This feature provides you with the Redwood Color Scheme option that you can use to create additional themes with. The new Redwood Color Scheme is a warmer, more human color palette.

Optional Feature - Force HTML Document Download

This optional feature - which is delivered enabled - requires any existing or newly uploaded HTML document in the OTM Document Manager to be downloaded locally for viewing purposes versus allowing the HTML to be rendered within the OTM browser window.  By requiring the user to download all their HTML documents for viewing, the potential for malicious HTML impacting other OTM user sessions and OTM application data is mitigated.

Optional Feature - User Interface Performance Metrics

This feature provides you, the DBA, with the tools you need to review and monitor the application's UI performance.  This new tool captures the execution times of various UI components including: Finders, Finder Results, Viewing/Editing/Saving from Business Object Managers and the execution of User Actions.  The User Interface Performance Metrics tool will allow you to identify UI components where your UI performance is falling outside of normal levels.

Mail Management

This feature provides a way to monitor and manage email traffic generated from your OTM/GTM instance.  This feature is meant to identify and help avoid the transmission of large volumes of email traffic that can indirectly impact the delivery of critical communications.

For 20C, the Mail Management infrastructure will be deployed and configured to monitor volumes and gather statistics with the goal of establishing baselines and thresholds that will be used in the future for more proactive monitoring and management of email traffic.

XML Schema Validation Tool

This feature provides you with an easy to use tool for testing to ensure that your XML content is valid.  You can use this tool by simply pasting in your proposed XML content and then running the validation tool.  The validation tool will check your XML content against the standard OTM schema.

REST - Power Data Phase 1 - for Major Objects

This feature provides you with the first release of REST Service enabled power data resources.  This first phase is focused on single table power data elements that are related to major objects - like order base, order release, item, location, shipment, trade transaction etc.  With the addition of power data resources, your ability to create your own UIs and mobile applications based on OTM and GTM's major objects is greatly enhanced.

REST - Get Method For Documents and Images

This feature extends the REST methods supported for Documents and Images to include the GET method.  This additional method has been provided for all Business Resources that support documents.

Oracle Transportation Management (Base)

Ocean FCL Consol Enhancement

This feature extends OTM's consol capabilities to fully support the process of pre-booking/reserving your full container load (FCL) slots on an anticipated vessel or voyages before your order releases are available for planning.  When your order release become available, you are now able to plan the order release into the reserved consol capacity.  You will find this feature particularly useful in situations where you need to reserve full container load space for an upcoming vessel/voyage before the actual orders and freight that will consume the reserved space are available for planning.

Shipment Group - Split Shipment Group Action

The Split Shipment Group action allows you to split your shipment groups - either full or partial shipment groups - into additional shipment groups. You will find this feature particularly useful when shipment groups are used to model ocean shipping scenarios and your ocean booking must be split into two or more separate bookings.

Shipment Group - Open for Add/Remove and Close for Add/Remove Actions

This feature provides you with a new internal status type, actions and logic that will allow you to control when your shipment group is open and available for having additional shipments added to (or removed from) an existing shipment group.  You will find this feature particularly useful for ocean scenarios where you want to allow shipments and containers to be added to a shipment group up to a certain cut-off point.  After reaching the cut-off point, any additional shipments that would have previously been added to the existing group will either create a new shipment group or be added to another open and matching shipment group, depending on your preference and configuration.

Shipment Group - Change Equipment Group Action

This feature provides you with the option of executing the Change Equipment Group action from the shipment group level.  This enhancement will simplify the process of changing the equipment group assigned to a set of shipments which are in a shipment group - like a set of shipments related to the same ocean booking - when the planned equipment group needs to be modified. For example, when you need to change a set of shipments originally planned using a 40 Foot Standard Container equipment group to a 40 Foot High Cube Container equipment group.

Run Edit Service Provider and Cost Action for Multiple Shipments

This feature provides you with the option to run the Edit Service Provider and Cost action against multiple shipments. You will find this feature particularly useful in your ocean spot costing scenarios where your ocean shipments are modeled as one shipment and one equipment/container - and you need to assign both the winning service provider and the per shipment equipment/container cost for a set of shipments that are booked on the same vessel and voyage.

Run Change Equipment Group Action for Multiple Shipments

This feature provides you with the option of selecting multiple shipments when you run the Change Equipment Group action.  This change will simplify the process of changing the equipment group assigned to a set of associated shipments - like a set of shipments related to the same ocean booking - when the planned equipment group needs to change.

Rail Intermodal Enhancements

This feature provides you with a collection of improvements that cover a number of areas including: enhanced agent actions, enhanced shipment actions, new seeded data and sample agents.  The benefits provided by this enhancement include simplifying the mapping effort required for events related to drayage and rail tracking, improved Ahead/Late visibility and status for your shipments and improved downstream re-planning of ground service based shipments in cases where tracking events indicate re-planning is required - for example, when the drayage carrier arrives too late to make the scheduled train departure.

While many of these enhancements were generated considering a third party intermodal planning and execution use case, you will find many of the enhancements beneficial for other planning and execution use cases.

Rate Geo Rail Beyond Rate Rule

This feature provides you with a new rule - Rate Geo Rail Beyond Rate Rule - which will allow you to control whether a FOR/FROM BEYOND RAIL rate record can be used on a non-Rule 11 leg.

Change Level of Service Shipment Action and Agent Action

This feature provides you with the option to change the level of service assigned to the arbitrary portion of your shipment and optionally re-drive and re-rate the shipment based on that selection. You will find this feature beneficial if you have a need to select a Level of Service that is not the least expensive option.

Ask Oracle Container Optimization Enhancement

This feature provides you with a Units column as part of the Ask Oracle Container Optimization solution comparison review.  This additional information will allow you to easily evaluate and compare solutions based on the number of transport handling units loaded into each equipment group used in each of the different solution options provided.

Merge Shipment Ship Unit Action

This feature provides you with a new shipment action - Merge Shipment Ship Unit - that allows you to manually merge shipment ship units into one shipment ship unit.  With this feature, you can merge two 1/2 full pallet shipment ship units into one full pallet shipment ship unit.

Set Dimensions on Ship Unit Considering Packaged Item or Packing Unit

This feature supports the situation where your ship unit has no transport handling unit defined, and there is only one order release line to build the ship unit from. In this (special) case - the dimension of the Ship Unit will be the dimension of the order release line’s single Packaging Unit, or its single Packaged Item if the Packaging Unit is unspecified.

Workbench - Additional Location Details in Map Drag/Drop Dialog

This feature extends the Workbench Logic Config parameter MAP LOCATION HOVER INFORMATION so that this parameter is now used to provide more location information when you run a Workbench Map Drag/Drop action. You will find the additional options for the location information displayed extremely beneficial in situations where you need to drag/drop many order releases.

Optional Feature - Disable Null Criteria Shipment Grouping

This optional feature disables the creation of shipment groups consisting of partial shipments with null matching criteria values.  When enabled, shipment groups will not be created for partial shipments which don't have any matching criteria defined on the shipment group rule.

Optional Feature - Order Base XID Adheres to Child Domain BN Rule

When this feature is enabled, a business number rule in the child domain will be used to generate an order base XID when an order base is created in that child domain.

Transportation Operational Planning

Use Single Service Provider Rule

The Use Single Service Provider Rule field allows you to specify the use of a single service provider at a location either on a by day basis or on a per bulk plan basis.  This feature solves the problem where you have a difficult to service location and the complexity of coordinating and communicating with multiple service providers - on a daily basis - adds an unnecessary amount of operational overhead. To reduce the communication and coordination overhead, these locations resort to a using a single servicer provider for all their shipments for an entire day versus coordinating the activities of many services providers on a given day.

Edit Load Config - Considers Compartments

This feature extends the Edit Load Config tool to include consideration for your equipment group compartments. The Edit Load Config tool allows you to fine-tune the 3D and/or User Defined Pattern load configuration solution generated by OTM's planning logic.  With this feature, you can move your shipment ship units within the equipment/equipment compartments, or you can unpack all or some of the shipment ship units into the staging area and then repack the shipment ship units based on your preferred position and orientation within the equipment/equipment compartments.

Transportation Intelligence

Order Base Added to Transportation Analysis Subject Areas

This feature extends the Transportation Analysis Subject areas available for analysis in Transportation Intelligence to include the Order Base, Order Base Line and Order Base Ship Unit.

Logistics Network Modeling

Simple Template Import for Lane, Rate Offering and Rate Record

This feature provides a simplified template approach that will allow you (the DBA) to load Lanes, Rate Offerings and Rate Records using a simplified CSV file format. The simplified format will allow you to quickly and easily load the data necessary to setup your modeling scenarios.

Use Sourcing/Proposed Rates In Modeling Scenarios

This feature allows you to create modeling scenarios with your non-active (IS_SOURCING_RATE) rates that you have loaded into OTM with either OTM's Sourcing capabilities or OTM's Rate Maintenance functionality.  The benefit of this feature is that you can now compare your proposed rates against your existing/active rates, allowing you to understand the cost impact related to the proposed rate changes.

Rail Mode Modeling Shipments Mappable with ALK Maps Rail Layer

This feature provides you with the ability to map your rail modeling shipments using the ALK Maps Rail Layer, this provides you with a more accurate representation of the route (rail route) your shipments will follow.

Logistics Digital Assistant

Logistics Digital Assistant - OTM Order/Shipment Status Skill

This feature provides you with the first Logistics Digital Assistant skill - the OTM Order/Shipment Status skill.  The Logistics Digital Assistant OTM Order/Shipment Status skill allows authorized customers and employees to easily obtain status information about their orders and shipments without having to navigate through the Oracle Transportation Management Cloud (OTM) application or understand complicated data mappings. The Logistics Digital Assistant skill(s) provide you and your authorized users with a conversational interface that responds quickly, improves user satisfaction, and increases business efficiencies.

The Logistics Digital Assistant OTM Order/Shipment Status skill is just one of many digital assistant skills available from Oracle and is enabled through the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) platform.  ODA provides you with all the tools and capabilities you need to easily build AI-powered assistants that connect to your backend applications. A digital assistant uses artificial intelligence for natural language processing and understanding to automate engagements with users and to develop more conversational interfaces and experiences.

Global Trade Management (Base)

Additional Fields Available on Item Origin

In order to better manage country of origin and improve tracking of trade agreement qualification, this feature provides you with the ability to specify the Item Structure ID and Description at the item origin level.  This additional information will provide you with insight into whether the manufacturing of a particular item structure is happening at an item origin and allow for tracking Item Qualifications against that Item Origin record. You can also use a new Description field to enter a description that is specific to an inventory organization, partner or party site or provides other information regarding the origin record.

Public Item Workbench

In order to improve the usability of the application and make it easier to work with large quantities of data, this feature provides you with a new Public Item Workbench that will allow you to manage all aspects of your items in one place. The Item Workbench provides you access to your item's classifications, origins, item structures qualifications, associated tariff rates, and an item edit manager.

Manager Layout for Product Classification Code

To provide for more flexibility in the configuration of user interfaces and workbenches, this feature provides you with new manager layouts for the Product Classification Code. These manager layouts allow you to display Product Classification Code data in the Workbench and configure the Product Classification Code View and Edit user interfaces.

Support for Binding Ruling Expiration Date

To improve management of Product Classifications in the application, this feature adds the Binding Ruling Expiration Date to the Product Classification data and makes it available across many different user interfaces where product classification data appears. Having access to the Binding Ruling Expiration Date will help you understand when a Binding Ruling Number used to justify a classification code on an Item is set to expire.

Support for Additional Date and Number Flex Fields During Configuration

In support of improving the flexibility and configurability of the application across multiple processes, you are now able to use Date Flex Field and Number Flex Field qualifiers when creating Data Configuration and Constraint Sets.

Agency Code Added to Party Actions and Screens

In order to provide users with better visibility into the Restricted Party Screening process, this feature adds the Agency Code to the Party Screening Matches tab on both the view and edit pages, as well as to the Review Match Factor action interface.  The Agency Code helps you to understand the government agency that has added a restricted party to a list. In addition, visibility to the Agency Code will help you to make more informed screening decisions when performing your restricted party screening.

Improvements to Assign Item Classification Action

In order to continue to improve the Product Classification process for users, enhancements have been made to the Assign Item Classification action.  For the Product Classification Code, you can click the 'i' button next to the field to confirm the code you have entered is a valid code. GTM displays the corresponding description of the Product Classification Code. If the code entered is not a valid code, GTM displays an error message telling you that no description was found. Additionally, you are now able to enter the Binding Ruling Expiration Date for tracking and monitoring its expiration.

Capturing Value on Item Structure and Item Structure Component

In order to help users with capturing cost data for an Item Structure, enhancements have been made to the Trade Item Structure and Trade Item Structure Component to better support value information. This will enable you to manage different types of costs related to your bills of material.

Enhancements to Excluded Words Setup for Restricted Party Screening

In a recent release, GTM introduced the concept of a global exclusion words list which is set via a property. In order to make maintenance of this list simpler and clearer for users, improvements have been made to move the global list from the property and into a global service preference. This allows for easier user access to modify and maintain the list, and also provides the user with better visibility of all the exclusion terms included in the list.

Limit the Maximum Number of Denied Parties During Screening

In order to improve the performance of the system, a new property has been introduced to help limit the maximum number of restricted parties that are stored in the cache at any given time to prevent potential out-of-memory issues.

Trade Agreements

New Partners Grid on Trade Agreement

In order to facilitate better management of trade agreements, a new Partners grid has been introduced on Trade Agreements to replace the existing Member Nations grid. The Partners grid specifics the countries or regions that are partners in the trade agreement.

New Fields Available on Item Qualification Finder and Finder Results

To better support users navigating the application, the Item Qualification Finder and Finder Results have been updated to include more fields. This enables you to find item qualification records based on item or party information and to see this information, by default, in the finder results.

Partner Site No Longer Required on Item Origin

To ease management of Item Origins, this feature removes the requirement of having to specify a partner site when you are entering a partner on the item origin.  Now, a partner can be entered without a corresponding partner site.  If you enter a partner site you will need to enter a corresponding partner.

Supplier Solicitation

Hide Product Classification Data on the Campaign

In order to provide flexibility to support varying use cases with our Supplier Solicitation capability, this feature provides you with the option to hide or show the product classification data on the campaign. The benefit of this feature is that you can hide the product classification information from your suppliers when you are soliciting your suppliers for documents and information that are not specific to a product classification code, such as Country of Origin.

Product Classification Type Not Required on Campaign Creation

In order to provide flexibility to support varying use cases with our Supplier Solicitation capability, this feature allows you to create a campaign without having to enter a product classification type. The benefit of this feature is that it reduces the number of steps when you are setting up solicitation of your suppliers for documents and information that are not specific to a product classification code, such as Country of Origin.

Set Certain Campaign Statuses Via Actions

To improve usability of supplier solicitation capability for users, this feature provides you with two new actions that allow you to Close and Open a campaign manually. The Close Campaign action is intended to be used when all campaign lines are approved/declined and the campaign is complete. The Reopen Campaign action is provided to re-open a campaign if the campaign was closed prematurely or by accident.

Documentation Updates Regarding Creating a Supplier Domain

In order to improve access by suppliers to the application, this feature provides you with improvements to help simplify the setup for the supplier domain used for campaign management. Specifically, the How To documentation to create a supplier domain has been updated and improvements have been made to the external predicates provided previously.  In addition, new external predicates have been added for trade agreements, qualification details, documents and parties.

Improvements to Approve Campaign Action on Campaign

In order to streamline the Campaign approval process, the Approve Campaign and Approve Campaign Lines actions on the Campaign and Campaign Line have been improved to more intelligently handle various status combinations. Only lines in an appropriate status will be Approved when the action is run. A confirmation with clear visibility of approval status is also provided to the user.

Status Changed Agent Event Added for Campaign and Campaign Line

To provide users with more flexibility in configuring the workflow in the application, improvements were made to Campaign and Campaign Line agent actions to listen for status changes on the Campaign and Campaign Line.
