Transportation Management

Transportation and Global Trade Platform

Workbench

Next Generation Enhanced Workbench

This feature provides you with the first full release of the next generation Enhanced Workbench developed using Oracle JET technology. The new Enhanced Workbench provides you with the same features and functionality of the original Workbench (developed using ADF technology) while providing you with a long list of usability, functionality, stability and performance improvements.

The new Enhanced Workbench and the old ADF Workbench capabilities will coexist long enough for you to migrate your old Workbench Layouts to the new Enhanced Workbench format.

We encourage you to use the new Enhanced Workbench for any new Workbenches you are considering and to start planning for your migration to the new and improved Enhanced Workbench format as soon as possible.

User Interface

Business Monitor – Alert Badge

This feature provides you with a Business Monitor Alert Badge that will be displayed on top of the Business Monitor flag icon whenever a change is found after a Business Monitor refresh occurs.  The Alert Badge allows you to keep your Business Monitors minimized until the Alert Badge indicates a change has occurred and your Business Monitor should be opened for review.

Document Management

View Documents SmartLink Added

This feature adds the Documents SmartLink to an additional set of objects including:

  • Demurrage Transaction
  • Driver
  • Equipment
  • Power Unit
  • Rate Record
  • Rate Offering
  • SKU
  • Tracking Event
  • Work Assignment
  • Work Invoice
  • Bond
  • Campaign
  • Campaign Line
  • Declaration Line
  • Item Classification
  • Item Origin
  • Item Qualification
  • License Line
  • Transaction Line

This feature improves your access and visibility to the documents assigned to an object.

Integration

OAuth 2.0 and HTTP Header Profile Support for Addition Content Types

This feature provides you with the option of sending outbound Transmission XML with support for OAuth 2.0 and Header Profiles.  The BuildNotifyMessageWorkflow has been extended to support REST client capabilities for OAuth 2.0 and custom HTTP Header Profiles for the Content Types of 'application/xml', and 'text/xml'. This change is in addition to the previously available capabilities provided for the 'application/json' Content Type.

Technical Features

Startup Log Type

This feature provides you with a Startup Log Type that will capture all the Log Ids related to system startup. Once system startup is complete, the Startup log is disabled. You will find the Startup Log Type beneficial in reviewing all the activities related to system startup.

Suppress Currency Conversion Exceptions

This optional feature, Suppress Currency Conversion Exceptions, will log warnings rather than exceptions when currency conversion data are missing.  The change in reporting currency conversion exceptions will reduce the amount of clutter in your exception logs.

Limit Agent Loops

This optional feature sets a limit for the FOR, FOR EACH and Data Type Association workflow agent loops to avoid excessive memory usage.  This feature will provide improved stability by avoiding excessive memory usage related to unconstrained queries.

Metric Type - CPU Timer Ahead, CPU Timer Behind

This feature provides you with new metric types - CPU - TIMER AHEAD, CPU - TIMER BEHIND, that will capture statistics related to these CPU Component events.  You will find this information beneficial when this metric is correlated with other metrics where you notice performance issues occurring at the same time as the CPU - TIMER BEHIND or AHEAD metrics are reported.

Finder for Metric Subcomponent

This feature provides you with a Finder you can use to find and select the Metric Subcomponent for your Metric Type when defining a Metric Threshold.  The ability to find or use auto-complete for the selection of the Metric Subcomponent will save you time and will reduce typo errors and/or accidentally creating Metric Type and Metric Subcomponent miss-matches.

Limit the Collect Diagnostic Log Frequency

This optional feature sets a limit for how frequently the Collect Diagnostic Logs can be run.  The limit has been provided to avoid the performance impact related to collecting large amounts of diagnostics too frequently - which can happen when the thresholds that have been set for capturing diagnostics are automatically triggered.

Use Domain Default from Address

This Optional Feature, when enabled, will use a domain-specific From address that you configure for your outgoing emails.

REST Services

Support REST SEquipment Reference

This feature enhances the 'sEquipments' root resource providing support for update and delete - with the constraint that and S_Equipment cannot exist without an associated shipment.  In addition, the 'sEquipments' as a child resource of the 'shipments' resource, now provides the option of showing the full sEquipments structure.  An optional feature is used to control whether the full sEquipments structure is shown or not.

REST API Definition Cache

This Optional Feature, when enabled,  is used to enable cache for REST API definitions.

Open API Schema for REST API Resources

The Open API schema, for all supported REST API resources, is now available for you to use at runtime. The new 'metadata-catalog' paths provide access to the same schema descriptions maintained in the online REST API documentation found on docs.oracle.com.

Historical Metrics - Count Based Metric Types and Components Added for REST

This feature extends the historical metric types and components available to provide you with count related metrics for REST services.  Metric Types supported include SYNC REST and ASYNC REST types for Read Count, Create Count and Delete Count as well as ASYNC REST for Batch Count and REST Customs for Action Count.

You can use these metrics and components to capture key REST count related statistics over time.

Transportation Management (Base)

UI Configuration

Ground Schedule Search by Stop Location Id

This feature extends the Ground Schedule Finder to include searching by Stop Location ID.  You will find this feature useful in situations where you need to find all the Ground Schedules that include a specific Stop Location ID.

Financials

Shipment Cost Manager

This feature provides you with a new Shipment Cost manager that will allow you to configure a Shipment Cost screenset and then add your configured Shipment Cost screenset to a Workbench.  You will find the new Shipment Cost manager beneficial in supporting any use case where having direct visibility and access to the your shipment cost details is required.

Allocate Vouchered Amount for Shipment Groups

This feature provides you, for your Shipment Group payment scenarios - the ability to allocate the vouchered amount to the order release and order release lines related to the vouchered shipment group.

Shipment Group Agent Action - Generate Invoice

This feature provides you with a new Shipment Group Agent Action - Generate Invoice - that will allow you to automate the generation of invoices for your Shipment Groups.

Invoice Payment - Save Shipment Cost as Reference

With this Optional Feature, when enabled, the shipment cost reference will be set for the invoice line items during approval for your match and pay invoices and during invoice generation for your autopay invoices. The shipment cost reference will be used for allocation of the voucher related to the shipment group.

Dock Scheduling

Public Enhanced Workbench - Location Based Dock Scheduling Workbench

This feature provides you with a Public Location Based Dock Scheduling Workbench which has been configured using the new Enhanced Workbench infrastructure.  The Location Based Dock Scheduling Workbench, as the name implies - is designed to support your location based dock scheduling activities.

Planning Actions

Move Order to Existing Shipment - Multi-Order Move Supported

This feature enhances the Move Order to Existing Shipment action so that the action now supports the ability to select and move multiple orders to the target shipment in one run of the action.  You will find this feature particularly helpful in any scenario where you need to move more than one order to an existing shipment.

Manual Create Shipment Action Moved to Manager Layout

This feature enhances the Manual create shipment action to include manager layout capabilities.  The manager layout capabilities allow you to relabel fields, move fields, hide unnecessary fields, set default values and configure non-mandatory fields so they are mandatory,

Agent Action Unassign All - Fleet

This feature provides you with an Unassign All - Fleet agent action that you can use to automate your processes that involve Fleet assignment  and un-assignment actions.

Planning

Bulk Plan Order Releases Using Network Routing Into Consols

This feature extends OTM's Consol capabilities, to support bulk planning (using Network Routing) your order releases into your available Consols - charter voyage, air schedule or Ocean FCL.

Network Routing Bulk Plan Milestones Added

This feature adds two additional Network Routing bulk plan milestones - Retrieve Ground Schedules and Consols, and Dynamic Clustering.  These milestones provide you with additional insight into the planning milestones related to the steps being performed when using the Network Routing planning option.

Enhanced Graphical Diagnostics

This optional feature provides you with the option to take advantage of the Enhanced Graphical Diagnostics UI.  The Enhanced Graphical Diagnostics UI provides you with a more informative and visually appealing graphical view into your Bulk Plan diagnostics.

Equipment Reference Units

Independent Equipment Reference Unit

This feature adds an 'Independent' checkbox and logic to your Equipment Reference Unit configuration that allows you to establish Equipment Reference Units that are independently evaluated for equipment utilization. The independent designation on an Equipment Reference Unit indicates whether the Equipment Reference Unit is independent of other Equipment Reference Units when OTM is determining utilization.

The Equipment Reference Unit Utilization for your shipments will be the larger of either the sum of all the non-Independent Equipment Reference Units or the largest of the calculated utilization values for all the Independent Equipment Reference Units.

You will find this feature beneficial in any situation where you have a mix of Equipment Reference Units that are physically loaded into your equipment – like pallets and boxes (non-independent) and Equipment Reference Units that represent unrelated limits – like value of goods (independent).

Logistics Machine Learning

Logistics Machine Learning - Event-Based ETA Prediction Model

This feature extends the Logistics Machine Learning Project Objective Modeling Type options to include - in addition to the original Planned ETA Prediction option, a new Planned and Event based ETA Prediction option that extends both the prediction model development and the shipment predictions provided to include in-transit tracking event information.

The Planned and Event based ETA Prediction  option provides you with a powerful ETA prediction solution that responds to tracking event related input - providing you with ETA predictions that cover your shipment's complete in-transit life cycle.

On-Line Help - Setup Guide for Logistics Machine Learning

This feature provides you with a new On-Line Help setup guide for Logistics Machine Learning.  The setup for Logistics Machine Learning covers multiple products; this one guide covers the setup from start-to-finish. When you complete the steps provided in the Setup Guide for Logistics Machine Learning, you will be able to train your data and then see predicted transit times.

Logistics Network Modeling

Data Rule Support for Commitment Allocations

This feature provides you with Data Rule support for Commitment Allocations allowing you to simulate different commitment allocation levels in your Logistic Network Modeling simulations.

Transportation Intelligence

Shipment and Order Involved Parties

This feature extends the Transportation Intelligence solution to support the ability to slice your Shipment and Order facts by Involved Party for all your Involved Party Qualifiers.
