Oracle will apply the latest updates to your test environment on Friday, July 7, 2017 and to your production environment on Friday, July 21, 2017. The update will be applied during your normal daily maintenance window.
The on-line Help and guides are translated into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, and cover all features up to May 2017, except for Working with Smart View for Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, which covers features up to April 2017. Additionally, the Oracle Smart View for Office User’s online Help and guide is translated to Dutch. See the Oracle Cloud Help Center Translated Books tab for Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud at .
The overview video closed captions are translated into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Tranditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The Provisioning Report has been redesigned to include the number of unique users provisioned with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Services roles. The report now identifies the total number of provisioned users.
For Calculation jobs, you can now run the Execution Statistics system report directly from the Oracle Profitability and Cost Management job library. For more information, see Administering Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud.
You can now hide reports that appear on the Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Reports screen. For example, you can reduce the size of the list by showing only primary reports and hiding related detail reports that can be accessed by “drilling down.” For more information, see “Working With Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Financial Reports” in Administering Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud.
Starting in update 17.07, you can export a report’s grid design information as it appears while viewing the grid in Financial Reporting Web Studio to Excel.
Currently, Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud supports only Private Connections with Smart View. For details, see “Accessing Smart View” in Chapter 2 of Getting Started with Oracle Profitability and Cost Management for Administrators and Getting Started with Oracle Profitability and Cost Management for Users.
Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud does not allow special characters in artifact names, including calculation rules. If you are migrating an application from on-premise Profitability and Cost Management, you must remove any special characters from rule names before you perform the migration.
Oracle is committed to providing a simple and intuitive user experience. To achieve this, Financial Reporting Web Studio, available since March 2016, will become the only environment for designing and building reports.
Oracle is providing additional time for users to transition from Financial Reporting Desktop Studio to Financial Reporting Web Studio. Tentative plans call for functional parity between Financial Reporting Web Studio and Financial Reporting Desktop Studio in late 2017, at which time, support for the Desktop Studio will transition to the Web Studio and distribution of the Desktop Studio will cease.
Oracle recommends that you transition to using Financial Reporting Web Studio at the earliest opportunity. Please send questions and concerns to Oracle using the Provide Feedback option in the service.
