Absence Management

Absence Management

Oracle Absence Management is a configurable and flexible global solution that enables organizations to manage absences of their workforce. The framework provides ability to define both complex and diverse absence plans. It integrates with the Oracle Cloud Global Payroll and Time and Labor products and provides dedicated work areas for the roles of Administrator and Employees. Simplified user interface is provided for employees’ absence data entry.

Multiple Assignment Support for Qualification Plans

Take advantage of the improvements made to the plan consumption calculation for absences that consume from a qualification plan entitlement. This applies to absences of those entitlements where the qualification plan is configured to use a plan term type of Rolling Backwards, Rolling Forwards, or Calendar Year. When processing such an absence for an employee with multiple assignments, the calculation of remaining entitlement happens independently for each assignment of the employee. Here's how the application calculates the available entitlement for an assignment. The entitlement that's used by way of earlier absences within the plan-term period is subtracted from the overall entitlement.

Enter Repeating Absences

Use the new repeat option to schedule recurring absences. You can enter an absence in basic or advanced mode and configure it to repeat daily, weekly, or for a specific number of days or weeks. Options for ending the repeating pattern include ending on a specific date or after a certain number of occurrences.  Single day absences can be repeated either daily or weekly, while you can configure multiple day absences to repeat only weekly, for example, to cover weekly doctor appointments.

Multiple Plan Support for Leave Agreements

See now that if an organization has an occupational shared parental leave and pay plan that integrates with the statutory shared parental leave and pay plan, you can now manage both of them in a single agreement.
