Applications Security

Removal Notice for the Bridge for Microsoft Active Directory on the Security Console

Starting update 21B, the Bridge for Microsoft Active Directory (AD Bridge) feature on the Security Console will be unavailable on all the newly provisioned pods.

Compare Users Using the Security Console

Compare two users for job and duty roles from the Security Console.

Single Click Option to Remove All Roles for a User

In the Security Console, you can now remove all the assigned roles for a user in a single click.

Send Password Lifecycle Notifications to Personal Email Address for Pending and Terminated Workers

Password lifecycle notifications will be sent to the personal email address of the user if the user's profile is in pending or terminated status.

Approvals and Notifications

Display Reminder Prefix for Approval Notifications

The prefix "Reminder" is attached by default to the beginning of the title for reminder notifications related to approvals. This can be configured by specifying a value for the Add Reminder Prefix to Notification Title (BPM_REMINDER_PREFIX) profile option.

Adding this prefix improves the visibility of reminder notifications related to approvals.

Configure Commenting Options for Approval and Rejection (Updated)

Configure commenting options for approving and rejecting workflow tasks. You can configure comments as mandatory or optional; you can also restrict approvers from entering comments. You can use this feature to adhere to regulatory compliance requirements that mandate auditing of comments. Beginning in 21B, this feature also applies to notifications and task details that you can configure using Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.

New Enhancements to Transaction Console

Leverage these enhancements to the Transaction Console:

• A new enhancement to help diagnose problems for failed transactions is available in Transaction Console. Approval rules details have been added to the Diagnostic Log to enable Administrators to review the specific conditions that may have caused failure. 

• A Transaction Console refresh schedule process ('Refresh Transaction Administrator Console Transaction Status') is now delivered with a default schedule to run every hour out of the box. Please note this will not have any impact on existing customers who have already scheduled this process. 

BI Cloud Connector

Inactive and Unavailable BI View Objects (BIVOs) and BIVO Columns for Exclusion from Extraction in BI Cloud Connector

Beginning with update 18B, there are BI View Objects and BI View Object columns that are unavailable or marked inactive in Oracle Applications Cloud. These objects are unavailable for extraction using BICC in Oracle Applications Cloud.

Classic Sandboxes Are Decommissioned

You now get unified sandboxes by default, and can no longer use classic sandboxes. Unified sandboxes provide a consistent sandbox experience across all configuration tools, a more robust user interface, and many other new and enhanced functionalities.

Automatic Visual Builder Studio Access with Some Oracle Applications Cloud Roles

Each Oracle Applications Cloud user automatically receives one Visual Builder (VB) Studio instance per cloud account, which is provisioned in the test environment by default. This means that users can now create application extensions to modify Oracle Applications Cloud built with Visual Builder to suit their business needs. As part of this provisioning, certain Oracle Applications Cloud roles are synchronized with the VB Studio Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) role. That is, for each Oracle Applications Cloud role, IDCS creates a group representing users assigned to that role. For example, the Application Administrator IDCS group represents users assigned to the Application Administrator (ORA_FND_APPLICATION_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB ) role in Oracle Applications Cloud. Here are some key things you can now do when you use Visual Builder Studio to extend your application pages:

• Duplicate the templates defined in the base application
