Financials

Assets

Investment Allowance Deductions as Bonus Depreciation

Expedite your investment allowance deductions for property, plant, and equipment investment costs. Claim your investment allowance deduction as bonus depreciation in the period of acquisition. Calculate your standard depreciation from the net amount.

Budgetary Control

Budgetary Control Spend Authorizations

You can now have budget visibility for anticipated employee expenses, by enabling budgetary control for spend authorizations.

  • Approvers can view fund status to understand how the anticipated expense will impact the budget.
  • Approvers can check funds real time to determine the current budget impact.
  • System automatically rejects when there are insufficient funds.
  • Funds are reserved for approved anticipated expenses.
  • Preapproved funds are used when employee expenses are eligible for payment.

Carry Forward Purchase Order Budgetary Control Balances Enhancement

The Carry Forward Purchase Order Budgetary Balances process has been enhanced to allow more flexibility when running the process.

  • Run the process with varying carry forward options for groups of purchase orders.  Choose which purchase orders by filtering on charge account segment values.
  • Prevent budget from carried forward purchase order to be used for another transaction.  Choose to reduce the budget balance by the same amount being carried forward.

Cash Management

Bank Statement Reconciliation of Rejected Lines

You can now manually unreconcile a single transaction from the reconciled transactions group based on the rejections reported by banks.

Manual Reconciliation Enhancements

In the Manual Reconciliation page, you can now add additional columns, including the Transaction Number, to the system transactions table results.

Expenses

Spend Authorization with Budgetary Control

Monitor spending and ensure that only preapproved expenses are incurred by reserving funds when employees request spend authorizations. You can enable funds check or funds reservation for each business unit. Funds for estimated expenses are reserved using control budgets associated with the expense types. When expense reports are processed for payment, the reserved funds are liquidated.

Usability Enhancements for Expenses

Improved expense entry experience now allows employees to edit expenses in the Expenses work area and report page and enter details, such as itemization and attendees, in a single page. Newly designed expense approval notification email enables approvers to review high value expenses quickly and to take necessary action.

General Ledger

Multiple Segment Tracking for Revaluation Gain or Loss

You can now track revaluation gain or loss using multiple segments in your chart of accounts.

Reverse Journal Batch

You can now provide batch level reversal information to reverse all reversible journals within a batch.

Payables

Change First Open Period for Payables

You can now change the first Payables open period if it was originally set as a period that was later than the first General Ledger period. However, the first Payables period cannot precede the first General Ledger period.

Payables Workflow Transaction Listing Report

You can now use the Payables Workflow Transaction Listing Report to view transactions that are pending and rejected in the Invoice Account Coding workflow. This report enables you to view the invoice details and workflow assignment details for the ones that are initiated or rejected in the Invoice Account Coding workflow.

Having detailed distributions provides better visibility into operations at the segment level, where a segment may represent a fund, a product, or a line of business. At this time, this feature is intended only for the public sector industry.
