Human Resources

Global Human Resources

Oracle Global Human Resources enables your organization to plan, manage and optimize all workforce segments using flexible and extensible best practices to realize extraordinary gains while insuring compliance and increasing total workforce engagement.

NID Uniqueness Validation

Improve user experience by reducing the number of duplicate person records created in a mobile-responsive page, by setting the new profile option "National Identifier Uniqueness Validation Mode" to "Error" or "Warning". The application checks every new or changed national ID (NID) on every page where NID can be entered or changed, if it's recorded in the Fusion database. This check excludes applicants from Oracle Recruiting.

If the profile option is set to Error, by default, the NID is validated based on the NID number only, If you want to verify the NID based on the NID Country-Type-ID, then you need to change the enterprise setting for Person Creation Duplicate Check to one of the choices that include NID Country-Type-ID, rather than simple National ID (which is National ID only).

For the profile option, you can select any one of these values:

  • NONE - Check for NID uniqueness is turned off. This is the default value.
  • WARNING - Check for NID uniqueness is done every time you add or modify any of the 3 NID field segments. If any duplicate is found, then application shows a warning message, but you can continue with the entered NID.
  • ERROR - Check for NID uniqueness is done every time you add or modify any of the 3 NID field segments. If any duplicate is found, then application shows an error message, and user can't continue with the entered NID. You can either cancel the transaction, change the NID record and continue, or not specify anything in the NID.

Ability to Change Contact Start Date

Improve the user experience with the ability to change a contact's start date. If you’re an HR Specialist, you can change a contact's start date on the Family and Emergency Contacts page if it’s entered incorrectly.

New Parameter for Synchronize Person Records Process

Improve the SOA server availability with the “Batch Mode” parameter added to the Synchronize Person Records process. The new parameter when set to Yes improves the SOA server availability by reducing the number of events submitted to the server.

Support for Additional Person Info in Transaction Design Studio

Enhance your user experience of the Additional Person Info page by using the Transaction Design Studio (TDS). You can now configure the page using the TDS.

Context-Based Personalization for Workforce Structures EFF Using HCM Experience Design Studio

Enhance the user experience for the Additional Info and Legislative Info sections on all responsive workforce structures flows' using the HCM Transaction Design Studio. You can configure to selectively show or hide the extensible flexfield (EFF) contexts in these sections based on your business rules.

Position Management: Create Recruiting Requisition

Create a (Oracle Recruiting) requisition from a position using the Create Requisition action on the Position Details page. The values from the currently viewed position and the associated requisition template will be defaulted into the requisition pages.

Profiles in Job Details

View the profiles associated with a job on the Job Details page. Using the Update or Correct actions, you can now associate an existing profile as well as end date the relationship of a currently associated profile. You can also create a new profile using the Create Profile action on the Job Details page. Once you saved the new profile, you can either use the update or correct job action to associate the newly created profile.

NOTE: You need to migrate to Enhanced Talent Profile to use this feature.

New Locations V2 REST Resource

Use the new locationsV2 REST resource to create and manage locations in Oracle HCM Cloud. This resource enables you to retrieve, create, and manage locations and related addresses and flexfields information.

Change Legal Employer

Legal Employer and Action Reason Fields Added to Employment Info Page

Enhanced Data Copy Options During a Legal Employer Change

Select data that users want to copy from the source to the target assignment during a permanent legal employer change (global transfer). The worker data defaults from the source assignment where the transfer is initiated. Along with other data, you can now copy these additional items:

  • Personal Details: Name, national identifiers, correspondence language, and birth details.
  • Contact Info: Phones, emails, and addresses.
  • Legislative Info: Gender, marital status, ethnicity, and religion.
  • Other Info: Passport, visas and permits, and citizenship.
  • Benefits: You can choose the life event for the global transfer and transfer the balance of the benefits to the worker's new assignment.
  • Payroll: Third-party payment methods and calculation cards.

Move Future Termination to New Work Relationship Created from Legal Employer Change

Move the future termination record to the destination work relationship during a legal employer change.

This feature is supported when you do a legal employer change using these processes:

  • Local and Global Transfer
  • Responsive Mass Legal Employer Change
  • REST API

Compact Guided Process for Mass Legal Employer Change

Simplify the process of changing the legal employer for a set of workers using the new responsive Mass Legal Employer Change process. This compact guided process allows users to do a permanent legal employer change for a group of workers together.

Data Copy Options During a Mass Legal Employer Change

Enhance users’ data copy options by enabling them to copy these kinds of data from the source to the destination assignment during a mass legal employer change:

  • Assignment extensible flexfield (EFF) contexts: By default, all EFF contexts are copied, however, you can choose which contexts you don’t want to copy to the worker's new assignment.
  • Payroll: Third-party payment methods and calculation cards.
  • Benefits: You can choose the life event for global transfer and transfer benefits balance to the worker's new assignment.

Default Assignment Status Based on Action

Link assignment status with the action based on your business rules. When you select the action, its corresponding assignment status is selected by default. This feature removes the chances of errors and the need for additional reviews.

Single Action Reason for Multiple Actions

Create an action reason and associate it with multiple actions. When you associate an action reason with an action, you can select the duration for which you want the action reason to be associated with the action. This feature reduces the effort of creating multiple action reasons.
