Overview

HCM Cloud applications have two types of patches you can receive that are documented in this New Feature Summary:

  • Release Updates (20A, 20B, 20C, and 20D)
  • Optional Monthly Maintenance Packs to each update

It is important for you to know what Release Update your environment is on. You can find this in your Cloud Portal.

Oracle HCM Cloud release documents are delivered in five functional groupings:

Suggested Reading for all HCM Products:

  • HCM Cloud Common Features (This document pertains to all HCM applications. It is the base human resource information for all products and HCM Tools.)
  • Global Human Resources Cloud (Global Human Resources contains the base application in which other application use for common data such as workforce structures and person information. Regardless of what products you have implemented you may want to see the new features for Global Human Resources that could impact your products.)

NOTE: Not all Global Human Resource features are available for the base Talent and Compensation stand alone applications.

Optional Reading for HCM Products (Depending on what products are in your cloud service):

This section covers features used across all HCM Applications.

Page Headers and Associated Quick Actions Simplified Names

See that page headers and associated quick actions' names have been simplified by removing 'Manage' from them. For example, Manage Absence Types reads as Absence Types as of release 20A. Page headers and quick actions such as View Publish Schedule remain unchanged.

Applications Security

Oracle Applications Security provides a single console where IT Security Managers and Administrators can perform various functions including user lifecycle management, role definition, security policy management(both functional and data), role hierarchy maintenance, username and password policy administration, and certificate management. The console also enables users to simulate the effect of security changes, to run security reports, and download a connector for integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

Application Security Redesigned User Experience

Increase user satisfaction with the redesigned pages that now have the same look and feel on desktop and mobile devices. These redesigned pages are both responsive and easy to use on any device, with a modern look and conversational language. Clutter-free pages, with clean lines and just the essential fields, can be personalized to suit.

Notifications Support in Role Delegation

Get notified of Role delegation with notifications .If enabled, a notification is sent when a role delegation is successfully created. Enable this feature by setting the delivered PER_USER_DELEGATION_SEND_NOTIFICATIONS profile option.

HCM Security

New Lists of Values in Responsive User Experience Pages

New lists of values have been added to the responsive user experience (UI) pages.

HCM Data Loader

HCM Data Loader provides a flexible and efficient method of bulk loading business object data for data-migration and on-going incremental updates to Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud.

New Business Objects Supported

Extend your data loading capabilities with support for these new objects:

  • Question
  • Questionnaire Template
  • Questionnaire

Additionally, Candidate Job Application has been extended and provides support for bulk loading candidate preferred locations.

Integration Key Support for Bank and Bank Branch

Create and maintain your bank and bank branches using integration keys. This allows you to update the attributes that traditionally identify the bank or branch to update, such as bank and branch name and number.

SET Instruction Details

Find details of the SET instruction to override data loading behavior for your file in the Configure HCM Data Loader task. Click the more information icon on the parameter name.

HCM Data Loader Redesigned User Experience

Increase user satisfaction with the redesigned pages that now have the same look and feel on desktop and mobile devices. Redesigned Delete Stage Table Data User Experience

Manage your data loading staging tables while on the move. You can now initiate the deletion of large data sets from your mobile device.

Purge Extracts Archive Information

Purge the redundant extracts archive information generated by HCM Extracts periodically to improve system response times during HCM Extracts runs. This process also improves the operational and maintenance procedures run by the Cloud operations team.
