HCM Common Features

This section covers features used across all HCM Applications.

New Employee Summary Page in Person Spotlight

Enrich access to your employees' info with the new Employee Summary page in the person spotlight. You can access the page by clicking the person name - on the My Team page or in the person smart navigation window. This page is also accessible from a quick action of the same name under My Team tab.

The Employee Summary page shows an employee's most-commonly used information, compiled from public and private information from the person spotlight, based on your security role. For example, you can see an employee's contact info, assignment, managers and direct reports, representatives, current salary, feedback, learning, and talent profile sections on this page.

The Employee Summary page isn't the default page out-of-the-box. You can configure this setting using the Person Spotlight task in the HCM Experience Design Studio. You can also personalize the look and feel of the page using the Transaction Design Studio.

Personalize Saved Searches for Yourself or for Your Organization

Enhance your search experience by personalizing saved searches. Pages such as Team Compensation, Team Time Cards, or Team Schedule deliver a set of filter criteria associated with a delivered saved search out-of-the-box. You can now personalize the filter criteria for yourself or for your organization. For example, if you use Time and Labor but don't use the Project Portfolio Management product, you can hide the criteria associated to projects for all your organization in the Team Time Cards filters.

New Enhancements to Transaction Console

Enable administrators to resubmit terminated or stuck transactions eliminating the need for users to re-enter data with the enhanced Transaction Console.

HCM Digital Assistant - New Features

Use the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) and the HCM skills to get the information you need. Interact with the HCM digital assistant in a conversational way using skills that are designed to answer specific questions or help you complete tasks.

The HCM Skills have been modified to support the following new features:

  • AutoComplete
  • Extending Digital Assistants and Skills with Rebasing
  • Enhanced intent to view or update your feedback or feedback about your team.
  • Enhanced intent to view teams absences.

Enhancements to HCM Approval Rules

Make it easier to configure the Change Personal Information flow approval rules. For any new rule, Admin users can now select a new check box to automatically add check conditions for undefined values.

Performance Improvements for HCM BIP-Based Approval Notifications

See the improved performance and rendering of BIP-based approval notifications with the enhanced HCM Data Model. The improvements not only help performance, but also give added protection for future upgrades.

Enhancements to the Human Capital Management Approval Rules Page

Support workers with multiple assignments. Users are now able to route their approvals to the supervisor hierarchy that belongs to the assignment from which the transaction was initiated. There is no impact on existing approval rules and routing policies.

HCM Digital Assistant - Chat Widget Configuration

Configure the Digital Assistant Chat Widget using HCM Experience Design Studio to modify the look and feel of the chat widget, including its features, layout and icons, colors, and text.

Applications Security

Oracle Applications Security provides a single console where IT Security Managers and Administrators can perform various functions including user lifecycle management, role definition, security policy management(both functional and data), role hierarchy maintenance, username and password policy administration, and certificate management. The console also enables users to simulate the effect of security changes, to run security reports, and download a connector for integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

SelfDetails REST API

Use the SelfDetails REST API to retrieve personal information of the logged in user as well as user session details such as language code, currency code and time zone.
