Remove Person Information Enhancements
Check out the Remove Person Information feature now has the following enhancements:
- We now have a separate privilege for the Report mode (ORA_HRC_GENERATE_REMOVE_PERSON_INFORMATION_FILE). Having this privilege alone grants the user access to the Report mode only. The existing privilege, ORA_HRC_REMOVE_PERSON_INFORMATION grants access to both modes.
- Purge data from HDL staging tables for terminated employees: When a terminated employee is purged, the associated data rows from the integration object keymap table will be purged as well. The integration object keymap table contains the HCM Data Loader Source System Owner and Source System ID objects. Both will be replaced by generic values in order to purge any information that might identify a specific person.
- Data obfuscation to support staggered disposal of person data: We now support staggered disposal of data for a terminated employee. For example, we allow for a purge of Global HR data first while retaining the payroll data for a longer time and purge payroll data at a later date in the future using the same person number reference.
- Data Obfuscation Support for Cancelled Workers: We have added support for the deletion of workers with canceled work relationships (rather than just terminated).
Reduced Maximum Days Retention for Extended Data Sets
Retain a data set for the purposes of roll back has been changed to 60 days.
Processed Source Files Automatically Deleted
Clean up your processed source files, files will now automatically be deleted from the Oracle WebCenter Content server, once they have expired.

Hidden Attributes in Business Objects for Configure Business Objects and Autocomplete Rules
Streamline the Configure Business Objects and Autocomplete Rules tasks with some changes in the business objects and related attributes - old business objects are removed and a few attributes are hidden in the respective business objects. The attributes won't be available in manual groovy in the Configure Business Objects and logic rules in Autocomplete Rules pages. Hence, manual groovy and logic rules must be reviewed for each impacted business object.
Secure Access for Workers with Multiple Assignments
Secure user access for workers by using assignment-level security, if your organization allows them to have multiple concurrent assignments. The current out-of-the-box behavior supports person-based security access, which means a user having access to a person has access to all assignments and personal information for that person. The new assignment-level security restricts a user’s access to a person’s assignment based on the user’s area of access. By enabling a new assignment-level security profile option and regenerating your data grants and security profiles, your organization opts into this feature for your HCM Cloud implementation.
As stated in our initial release documentation for release 20D, this feature offers a multi-phased implementation for HCM Cloud customers. For this release, we have made enhancements to Absence Management, Document Records, OTBI for Global Human Resources, Performance Management and Payroll product areas. Expanding assignment-level security continues to provide a broader and more consistent user experience across HCM. The users will be restricted to only those assignments to which they have access and not all assignments of the person just because they can access that person.
This section covers architecture features used across all HCM Applications.
