Overview

HCM Cloud applications have two types of patches you can receive that are documented in this New Feature Summary:

  • Release Updates (23A, 23B, 23C, and 23D)
  • Optional Monthly Maintenance Packs to each update

It is important for you to know what Release Update your environment is on. You can find this in your Cloud Portal.

Applications Security

Oracle Applications Security provides a single console where IT Security Managers and Administrators can perform various functions including user lifecycle management, role definition, security policy management(both functional and data), role hierarchy maintenance, username and password policy administration, and certificate management. The console also enables users to simulate the effect of security changes, to run security reports, and download a connector for integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

Secure Talent Pools Through HCM Data Security

Secure access to talent pools through the HCM Data Role user interface. You can create talent pool security profiles and assign to a data role. Setup and Maintenance Data Role Migration, Preview HCM Data Security, and the Regenerate Data Security Profile process now also support talent pool security profiles.

Enhancements to Transaction Console Archive Process

Enhance user experience in the Transaction Console summary page that now displays a yellow banner that reminds users to archive completed transactions. The banner displays when the archive process hasn't been run in the past 3 months.

Enhancements to Transaction Console - Diagnostic Log

Take advantage of these enhancements to the Transaction Console diagnostic log:

  • Transaction Console administrators can now download the diagnostic log for healthy pending transactions as well.
  • The diagnostic log now also includes details of all the attachments added at any stage of the transaction.

Enhancements to Approvals and Notifications

Leverage the ability to resend email notifications for any in-progress transactions in the Transaction Console.

Autocomplete Rules for HCM Experience Design Studio Enhancements

Enhance your users' experience authoring new rules in Autocomplete Rules for HCM Experience Design Studio with these additional capabilities:

  • Global HR: Author defaulting and validation rules when you terminate an assignment using V3 Termination.
  • Payroll: Default the Timecard Required check box and Overtime Period based on HR assignment attributes such as job, grade, or department in the Payroll Assignment business object.
  • Recruiting: Validate the offer letter template based on legal entity on When and Why, and business unit or grade on Assignment Details. Enforce business rule on number of offers that can be extended to a candidate.

Review Processed Spreadsheet Data Sets

Review spreadsheet rows within a HSDL generated spreadsheet directly from the Import and Load Data and Recent Spreadsheet Loads pages.

Delete Spreadsheet Stage Table Data Updated User Interface

The Delete Spreadsheet Stage Table Data user interface has been updated to be consistent with the HCM Data Loader version of this user interface.

Spreadsheet Business Object Enhancements

Extend your business users' bulk-loading capabilities:

  • Lists of values are now available for the Payroll Interface Inbound Record business object.
  • Spreadsheets based on Benefits objects can now be shared with business users.

HCM Common Controlled Availability

Features under this heading are under the Controlled Availability Program. The Controlled Availability Program is a program for early testing and feedback of features, before they are included into the product line. You must request and be accepted into the Controlled Availability Programs to use these features. Please see the What's New for more information on being part of these programs.

NOTE: These features are not generally available to customers, customers must be approved to use these features. When these features are generally available to all customers they will be announced under their product area headings.

Get News Feed Suggestions On Your Next Likely Actions

Get suggestions on your next likely actions in your news feed layout. This feature is currently in Controlled Availability and is available in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. Artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms predict and suggest the actions each user is most likely to take during a session. The algorithms use historic navigation behavior and patterns of each user and users like them to determine which navigation target they’re most likely to visit.
