User Interface

Access Work Areas in Reorganized Navigator Groups and Group Icons

Locate and use your Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud work areas under new headings in the Navigator, and new group icons on the home page. The new headings and group icons in this update are Order Management and Supply Chain Execution. Removed headings and group icons are Costing, Manufacturing, and Quality Management.

Inventory Management

Use Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence Enhancements for Inventory Management

Use Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence subject areas that include new attributes to support Oracle Inventory Management Cloud. Descriptive flexfields are supported for transfer orders and for the addition of item subinventory and item locator dimensions to existing Inventory Management subject areas. Serial number support has been added to the Shipping subject area, and inventory lot support has been added to the existing Manufacturing subject areas.

Use Contingent Workers for Cycle Count and Physical Inventory

Use contingent workers to perform all cycle count and physical inventory transactions. Employees or contingent workers can complete tasks such as Record Count Sequences, Record Physical Inventory Tags, Approve Count Sequences, and Approve Physical Inventory Adjustments.

Integrate and Extend Inventory Management Using REST Services

Manage Cycle Counts Using a REST Service

Use the Cycle Count REST service to define a cycle count, record count entries, and validate cycle count inventory adjustments. Use the same service to provide additional descriptive flexfield information during cycle counting. This service defines, updates, corrects, or deletes the cycle count interface records in online or background modes.

Manage Item Lot Numbers Using a REST Service

Use a REST service to create lot numbers for your items and edit the details on a lot such as the origination date, the maturity date, and the hold until date. You can use the same service to search for lot numbers for your items and review the corresponding details. This service also enables you to capture descriptive flexfield information for your lots.  

Manage Item Serial Numbers Using a REST Service

Use a REST service to review the details of an item serial number and the descriptive flexfields. Use the same service to create item serial numbers and update serial number details such as supplier, supplier serial number, and descriptive flexfield information.  

Shipping

Ship Sales Orders for Projects

Capture project attributes on sales orders and fulfill these sales orders from a common or pooled inventory to track costs against a project. Ship sales orders and charge to project attributes such as project number, task number, and expenditure organization.

Integrate and Extend Shipping Using REST Services

Manage Shipments Using a REST Service

Use the Shipment REST service to manage shipments, enabling and simplifying integration with external systems, such as a warehouse management system, contract manufacturer, 3PL, transportation management system, trade compliance system, and mobile devices. You can receive and process shipments coming from these external systems. You can also search for and get details for a shipment, packing units, shipment lines, shipping costs, lots, and serial numbers.

Manage Shipment Lines Using a REST Service

Use the Shipment Lines REST service to manage shipment lines, enabling and simplifying integration with external systems, such as a warehouse management system, contract manufacturer, 3PL, transportation management system, trade compliance system and mobile devices. You can manage details on the shipment lines such as inventory details, shipping details, descriptive flexfields, notes, attachments, transportation plan and integration status. You can also get details for existing shipment lines searching by a multitude of attributes such as order number, customer, and carrier.

Receiving

Manage Receiving Transactions Using a REST Service

Use the Receiving Transactions REST service to put away receipts, inspect receipts, return receipts, and correct receipts. Use the same service to upload attachment information or to provide additional descriptive flexfield information during receiving transactions. This service updates, corrects, and deletes the receiving transaction interface records in online or background modes.

Manage Receiving Receipts Using a REST Service

Use the Receiving Receipts REST service to create receipts and advance shipment notices (ASNs). Use the same service to update information on the receipt such as quantities or additional descriptive flexfield information. You can also update the packing slip, bill of lading, or weights for the ASN. The same service is used to delete the receipt or ASN, and to upload attachment information for the receipt or ASN.

Supply Chain Management Common Components

Manage Carriers Using an Enhanced REST Service

Use a REST API to create carriers. You can also create shipping methods, contacts and inbound tracking rules for a carrier. Shipping methods and inbound tracking rules can be associated to specific inventory organizations.

Manage Inventory Organizations Using an Enhanced REST Service

Use a REST API to create inventory organizations and the inventory organization parameters. If the warehouse is also a manufacturing plant or supports maintenance activities, you can define the plant parameters for the organization.

Use an LOV REST Service for Inventory Organizations

Use a lightweight REST API to view inventory organizations. This service is intended to provide content for a list of values.

Cost Management

Exclude Inactive Work Definition in Standard Cost Rollup

When you deactivate a work definition, the standard cost rollup process excludes the work definitions that have an inactive date prior to the effective date of the cost scenario. If the inactive work definition is included in an unpublished cost scenario, the status of the unpublished scenario changes to Redo Cost Rollup Required.

Capture Expenditure Information in Oracle Project Portfolio Management Cloud from a Sales Order

Capture project attributes on sales orders and fulfill these sales orders from a common or pooled inventory to track costs against a project. With this feature, you can now capture expenditure information for shipment of material from inventory to a project.

Cost Account the Items Directly Delivered to Manufacturing and Maintenance Work Orders

Calculate the cost and account the goods received against a work order destination for a maintenance or manufacturing work order.

View Inclusive Taxes in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence Reports

Use the Receipt Accounting Real Time subject area in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence to view inclusive taxes on purchase orders, receipts, and invoice dimensions.

Landed Cost Management

Manage Landed Cost Trade Operations Using a REST Service

Create, update, or delete landed cost trade operations and associated charges using a REST web service. Automatically create trade operations when integrating with an external system or when dealing with a high volume of trade operations or a high volume of charges.
