Project-Driven Supply Chain

Project-Driven Supply Chain is an end-to-end, integrated solution across the Oracle Supply Chain Management and Project Management Cloud applications.  This solution is designed to support various business processes of manufacturing and asset-intensive companies.

You can use the Project-Driven Supply Chain solution to manage your supply chain processes in the context of projects without creating separate organizations for each project. You can also capture supply chain costs as project expenditures.

In this update, the Project-Driven Supply Chain solution includes these features:

  • Plan Project-Specific Supply
  • Purchase Unplanned Material for Project-Specific Manufacturing Work Order
  • Purchase Unplanned Material for Project-Specific Maintenance Work Order
  • Purchase Goods and Services for Project-Specific Manufacturing and Maintenance Work Orders
  • Cost Account Direct Material Procurement on Project for Manufacturing
  • Cost Account Direct Material Procurement on Project for Maintenance

The Project-Driven Supply Chain feature in Oracle Maintenance Cloud is described in this document.

Purchase Unplanned Material for a Project-Specific Maintenance Work Order

Create a purchase requisition associated with a project-based maintenance work order. You can navigate from the Edit Work Order page to create the purchase requisition and also view purchased item details. The purchased items are delivered to the work order destination, consumed, and costed in the work order. The expenditure incurred will be transferred to Oracle Project Management Cloud.

Maintenance

Export Assets for Mass Update

Export assets, parts list components, and asset charges in a CSV file to allow mass update.

View Subscription Management Details for a Customer-Enabled Asset

Choose whether to view subscriptions or contracts for customer-enabled assets using a new profile option within Subscription Management. Based on how you set the new profile option, either subscription or contract details are displayed in the Asset 360 View page, and on the respective tab located on the Edit Asset page.

Manage Notes for Assets

Create and update notes for assets. You can also view your notes on the new Notes tab on the Edit Asset page.

Define Validation Rules Using an Asset Group

Set asset validation rules when you create an asset group. Then, users of other Oracle Cloud applications can validate these rules to control the creation of a service request or contract for assets that are part of the group. You can create the validation rules in both the user interface and through the Asset Group REST service.
