Voluntary Deductions Included in Disposable Income Rule
Use the element configuration disposable income rule "Net pay less specific deductions” to allow voluntary deductions to reduce disposable income. This is legislatively required in some jurisdictions for specific elements, which are categorized as voluntary deductions. Previously, this rule only reduced the disposable income using pretax deductions.

Oracle Global Payroll is a high-performance, graphical, rules-based payroll management application. It’s designed to keep pace with the changing needs of your enterprise and workforce in order to reduce setup costs, administration, and processing time. It operates globally and consistently in every country supported by Oracle. It uses a highly scalable processing engine that takes advantage of the features of the Oracle database for parallel processing, resulting in optimal performance. In countries with payroll extensions delivered and supported by Oracle, the application delivers the calculations, tax reporting, and regulatory rules required to accurately process payroll and remain in compliance.
Update Employee’s Payroll During Change Assignment Transaction 
Update an employee’s payroll while updating their assignment. For example, an employee transfers to a new department, and as a result the payroll changes from monthly to a weekly payroll. You can now capture the new payroll as part of the Change Assignment transaction.
Copy Future Dated Changes During Global Transfer
Copy future-dated updates and end dates on payroll objects during a Global Transfer. Prior to this release, only payroll information that is effective as of the global transfer date could be copied. For example, if you copy an element entry that has a future end date or an increase in the value after the global transfer date on the source employment record, you can now copy those changes as well on the element entry created on the target employment record. This is available on both the Local and Global Transfer flow as well as the Mass Change Legal Employer flow.
Calculate a Rate Using Multiple Values Defined by Criteria
Calculate a rate using a Values Defined by Criteria which references another Values Defined by Criteria. This feature is available for rates calculated using the Generate HCM Rates process and the salary rates page.
View Employee Retroactive Pay (RetroPay) Results
View the calculated results of a retropay process. Retropay is the recalculation of prior payroll results because changes occurred after the original payroll run, such as a backdated salary increase. You can now see the results that the retropay process calculated and compare them against the original payroll run results.
Performance Improvement to the Payroll Costing Process
Create an index for the costing key flexfield segments to improve the payroll costing process performance when there are a large number of costing key flexfield segment combinations to process.
New Report - Run Periodic Payroll Register Report
Run the newly delivered Run Periodic Payroll Register Report. This report produces the same output as the Run Payroll Register Report but it runs faster for the same data set, especially when the data volume is high.
This report can also be extended to show Month to Date (MTD), Period to Date (PTD), Quarter to Date (QTD) and Inception to Date (ITD or Lifetime) balances as well, with minimal configuration.
Balance Results Responsive Page
View the balance results using the new responsive page. Balance Results are the calculation results of payroll processes, such as payroll calculation, QuickPay, payroll reversal, balance adjustment, and balance initialization.
Changes to the Statement of Earnings (SOE) Header
Changes have been made to the header on the Statement of Earnings so the navigation to results pages are now under the Actions button. And we have introduced a Process Switcher so you can navigate away from the process you are currently viewing to the results for other processes that have been run for the employee.
Payroll for Oracle Human Capital Management for Bahrain supports country specific features and functions for Bahrain. It enables users to follow Bahrain's business practices and comply with its statutory requirements.
Involuntary Deductions / Loans
Calculate involuntary deductions (court orders) and loans accurately with the delivered element templates and rules. Use the court order calculation card to enter the relevant calculation information.
You can transfer third-party payments to bank accounts (EFT), or you can also print cheques. Use the provided templates for EFT (based on the Bahrain Electronic Fund Transfer System) or cheque to create templates for your own usage.
Payroll for Oracle Human Capital Management for Canada supports country specific features and functions for Canada. It enables users to follow Canada's business practices and comply with its statutory requirements.
End-of-Year Exception Report Message Categorization 
View the End-of-Year Exception Report messages that are now categorized as informational or errors. This feature now provides the ability to filter and view messages based on the type.
Retroactive Earnings Taxed as Non-Periodic Earnings
Run the taxation of all retroactive earnings are now taxed as non-periodic earnings, as per legislative guidelines. This is now the case even if the base earnings are regular or have a tax processing type of regular.
Global Uptake: TRU Support for HDL Load of Worker.dat
Support enhanced processing to allow entry of either the Tax Reporting Unit ID or Name when adding employees using HCM Data Loader (HDL) for the Worker.dat object. Now, the association and association details are created, same as in the new hire process.

Taxable and Nontaxable Enterprise Annuity Employee and Employer Contributions
Calculate taxable and nontaxable enterprise annuity employee and employer contribution. Include the calculated amounts in the monthly tax calculations.
New Element Template to Manage Social Security Items
Use the new template to create custom elements for managing social security items.
Create Association and Association Details for the Employees Hired via HDL and HSDL
Include tax reporting unit info in the Worker HCM Data Loader (HDL) dat file or HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) data set. The system automatically creates association and association details for the new hires.
Hide the Person Legislative Attributes Delivered by Oracle via Transaction Design Studio
Use the Transaction Design Studio to hide some specific person legislative information developer attributes.
Payroll Relationship Level Deduction Card and Most of the Card Components are Kept Open for Final Closed Employees
See that the payroll relationship level deduction card and most of the card components are kept open when the employee’s payroll relationship is end-dated after termination. The only exception is the Aggregation Information component.

When you include the TRU ID or name in the worker.dat file, the calculation card association and association details are created, as per the new hire process.

Gratuity Payment for Employees Terminated with Service less than One Year
Calculate gratuity accurately when an employer terminates either a fixed or an unlimited contract:
- If an employee has served for less than 1 year, the employee is not entitled to any gratuity pay.
- If an employee has served more than 1 year but less than 5 years, the employee is entitled to 21 calendar days' basic salary for each year of the first five years of work.
- If an employee has served more than 5 years, the employee is entitled to 30 calendar days' basic salary for each additional year, provided the entire compensation does not exceed two years' pay.

Pensions Automatic Enrolment Enhancements 
Make use of the enhanced Pensions Automatic Enrolment Multiple Updates process that supports a positive offset payroll pay reference period, also to allow for opt-out and leavers in the previous pay reference period.
Configure Backdated Pay Awards for Teachers' Pension
Configure backdated pay awards to calculate Monthly Contributions Reconciliation (MCR) contributions using the "when paid" (BK) method.
Temporary National Insurance Number for Teachers' Pension
Record a 9-digit temporary (administrative) National Insurance number for reporting in the Monthly Contributions Reconciliation (MCR). This number is issued by Teachers' Pensions to workers who either don't have or don't know their National Insurance number. The TPS Temporary NI Number field is available at person legislative information level.
Reporting Local Authority Central Staff in the England School Workforce Census
Identify local authority central staff using the LA Central Establishment check box recorded at reporting establishment level and generate the census, summary, and validation report for those central staff.
Benefits and Pensions Integration: Print Option and Historical Enrolments
Check out that employees using the new Employee Self-Service feature to enroll into pension schemes can now view their historic enrolments data and use the print option. They can navigate to "My Pensions" area and use the print option enabled to view the enrolment information in the Benefits Report, which they can print as required.
Enhancement to MyCSP Reporting to Provide Year-End Five-Day PIP Report
Use the enhanced Generate MyCSP Interface process to generate the MyCSP Year-End Five-Day Pension Input Period (PIP) report in a .csv format.
Save paper, time and postage cost by sending P45 securely to an individual's designated email address. You can use the email delivery option once the relevant configuration and delivery parameters are setup for the P45 archive process. A PDF document will be attached to the email with a relevant subject title and the chosen message content within the email body.

Creditor Debt, Garnishment, and Regional Tax Levy Involuntary Deduction Processing Enhancement
Enhance state-specific rules that control the processing order of a person's involuntary deductions. Some states have rules that restrict the processing of a person's involuntary deductions to one deduction of a given type per state per payroll period. With this enhancement, once the current involuntary deduction is satisfied, on the next pay cycle, the payroll process automatically starts the next involuntary deduction of that type based on the elements' subprocessing order. This applies only to involuntary deductions with the Creditor Debt, Garnishment or Regional Tax Levy secondary classifications. It has no impact on any other secondary classifications, such as Child Support.
403(b) and 457(b) Deduction Enhancement for Multiple Assignments
Improve the accuracy of the processing of 403(b) and 457(b) deductions. For employees with multiple assignments in a payroll relationship, their flat amount and percentage deductions are now calculated proportionally for the applicable assignments.
Adjust Multiple Tax Balances for Third-Party Payments 
Simplify performing adjustments on multiple tax balances through the Adjust Multiple Tax Balances task's improved user interface. This task's new responsive layout makes processing multiple balance adjustments easier and with less input. Use this feature to enter common payroll transactions such as third-party sick pay, stock option exercises, and moving and relocation transactions.
Global Payroll Uptake: TRU Support for HDL Load of Worker.dat
Augment how you upload new and existing employee info with the HCM Data Loader (HDL) by including tax reporting unit (TRU) data. You can now include a TRU’s ID or name in the HDL Worker.dat object. When you pass one of those values, HDL automatically creates the association and association details for the employees’ tax cards. This is the same as in the new hire process.
