Product Lifecycle Management Common Features
Use Object Hyperlinks in Send Notifications
Include an object hyperlink in notifications so that recipients can navigate to the object easily.
View and Edit Requirement Line Descriptions Within Table Rows
Use a description attribute to capture unformatted text for requirement line descriptions. Unlike Rich Text content, you can view and edit these descriptions within table rows. You can access the description attribute through the user interface, SOAP and REST services, FBDI, ADFdi, and Export.
Navigate Directly to Innovation Management Objects from Send Notifications
This feature appears in the New Features and Setup and Maintenance work areas by mistake, and is a duplicate of another feature: Use Object Hyperlinks in Send Notifications. The feature is automatically enabled. For details, refer to the Use Object Hyperlinks in Send Notifications feature in this document.
Search and Sort Product Lines Using Improved User Interface
Quickly find the product line you want to associate with an item. You can now search and sort product lines when you add or update the product line for an item.
View Structure Component Details in Side Panel
View additional component-related information such as the approved manufacturers list and attachments in a side panel. You can retain the context of the item structure while viewing the component details.
Use Smarter Redline Indication
Show the red dot icon only for changes other than revision and lifecycle phase modifications. In commercialization change orders, indicate updates to operational attributes as well.
Generate Item Structure Report with Component Item and AML Attributes
Generate item structure reports that display the main attributes of component items as well as descriptive flexfields and AML. You can configure the attributes that you want to display in the report template.
Access Favorites and Recent Items in Clipboard
Access your favorite and recent items in the clipboard. You can quickly drag and drop these items into the Structure tab or Affected Objects tab directly from the clipboard.
Share Import Maps Using the Setup and Maintenance Work Area
Export import maps from one Oracle Product Hub Cloud instance and import them into another instance using the Setup and Maintenance work area. Efficiently manage import map setups across multiple instances of Oracle Product Hub Cloud.
Publish Without Contribution Folder Limitation
Publish items to a spoke system without using Contribution Folder as the upload location. Files are uploaded directly to Oracle WebCenter Content, avoiding the limitation of 1000 files per folder.
Support TPI Status and TPI Relationship Status in Product Information Management Work Area
Manage and import Trading Partner Item Status and Trading Partner Item Relationship Status attributes in the Product Information Management work area.
View Extended Flexfields in Affected Objects Panel
View all the item-level extended flexfields of a change order's affected objects in the simplified change management interface. You can now see these flexfields when you drill down into the affected object details.
Integrate and Extend Product Hub Using REST Services
Update the Engineering Item Attribute Using Import or a REST Service
Update the value of the Engineering Item attribute through import or the Items Version 2 REST resource. When you set the value of the attribute to Yes, you can manage these items in the Product Development work area.
Manage Supplier Products Using a REST Service
Use the Supplier Products REST service to upload products from external systems and third parties for import to Oracle Product Hub Cloud. This REST service allows your supplier product administrators to manage (create, update, search, or delete) products in the Supplier Portal.
Manage Change Order Security Grants Using a REST Service
Create, manage, and delete data security grants for item change orders by using the Product Management Data Securities REST API.
Identify the Effective Item Revision Using a REST Service
Use additional attributes in the Items Version 2 REST resource to identify the current effective revision of an item.
Product Development & Product Hub Common Features
Add or Remove Change Approvers Using Change Web Services
Add or remove approvers for a change object's approval status using SOAP or REST services.
Analyze Time Trends of Change Orders and New Item Requests
View and analyze time trends for your change orders and new item requests in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence. You can also view new item request reports by employee-manager hierarchy.
Secure Change Workflows with Additional Controls
Use granular controls in change order type setup to configure who can do what at each status within the change workflow. The controls are applied to new change orders only.
Configure Commenting Options for Approval and Rejection
Configure whether approver comments are required, optional, or disallowed when they approve or reject a workflow.
Publish Changes as XML Package
Publish engineering change orders as an XML package. Use filters to select the type of change data you want to publish. You can do this from the Supplier Portal, or from the Actions menu on the change order page in the Product Development work area.
Set Maximum Limit for Affected Objects or Items
Configure a maximum limit for the number of affected objects and items allowed on a single change order or new item request. You can also elect to split the affected objects or items into multiple change orders or new item requests at the specified limit to improve performance.
Track New Approver Assignments in Change Order History
Use improved history tracking to view the approvers who were added to a change order. You can audit who performed the approval action and when.
Validate Privileges of Change Order and New Item Request Assignees
Validate whether the assignee of a change order or a new item request has the required privilege to be its owner. An error message appears if the assignee doesn't have the Manage Item Change Order privilege.
Use Clipboard in Quality Management
Access the clipboard to drag and drop favorites and recent items into the Affected Objects tab or the Relationships tab of quality issues and quality actions.
Specify Date Range Filters for Quality Issues and Actions
Specify date range filters for both standard and user-defined attributes to fine-tune quality issue and quality action searches.
View Issues or Actions in Approval Status Within Infolets
Use the infolets on the Quality Management landing page to view all your issues, including those that are in Approval status.
Open Organization Item Details Within Quality Management
Open organization item details in a dynamic tab within the Quality Management work area. If the item is added as an affected object for the issue or action, you can open the item from the Affected Objects tab.
Configure Default Assignee for Quality Issues and Actions
Define a default assignee for each quality issue or action type. You can configure a user as the default assignee during object type setup.
