Cross-Product Enhancements

Link to SCM Application Pages Using Deep Links

In this update, Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud delivers new deep links that provide easy navigation directly to application pages without using the menu structure. You can use these links in a variety of ways, such as in business intelligence reports, notifications, and third-party application pages.

Innovation Management

Terminate Approval Workflows in Innovation Management

Use a Terminate Workflow action to stop the approval workflow of a concept, proposal, or requirement specification that was already submitted for approval. The object returns to Draft status and you can resubmit it for approval.

Use Attachment Categories for Innovation Management Objects

Choose an attachment category when you add attachments to concepts, requirements, proposals, ideas, and portfolios. You can set up multiple attachment categories in the Setup and Maintenance work area to organize object attachments.

Leverage Improved Notifications in PLM and Quality Management

Select roles in addition to users to notify large groups easily. A new Sent By field helps you identify the user who sent the notification.

Integrate and Extend Innovation Management Using REST Services

Manage Proposal Teams Using REST Services

Use REST APIs to add or remove teams for your proposals in Innovation Management.

Manage Product Concepts Using REST Services

Use REST APIs to add, update, or delete concepts, concept structures, and components.

Product Development

Use Optimized Payloads for Change Orders and New Item Requests

Ensure that only information relevant to the approval criteria is passed to the workflow engine. Minimize stuck workflow situations for rule based approvals when you have a large volume of affected objects.

Improve Configuration Options for Item Reports

Use an item's extended attributes as parameters for OTBI reports launched from the item page. You can group reports by context, and also launch reports from the Manage Items page.

Undo Redlines for AML on Change Affected Objects

Use the Undo Redlines action to clear redlines related to the approved manufacturers list (AML) on the affected objects of a change order. You can multiselect rows to undo redlines quickly.

Restrict Access to Change Web Services

Ensure that only users who have the requisite change order privileges can access and execute change web services.

Default Additional Controls Settings for Changes in Progress

Prevent improper actions on a change order if a workflow status is removed from the change type configuration.  You can reset the additional controls settings to default values for the change order instance.

Leverage Extended Character Length for Item Revision Code

Include up to 18 characters for the item or document revision code when you import or create change orders. You can also enter this revision code manually when you create a new item revision for affected objects.

Get Additional Insights Into Structures and Changes Using OTBI

Select a Latest Revision indicator on structure reports to retrieve the structure for the latest item revision. View status and remaining approvers for rejected change orders using change order reports.

View Reference Designators for Affected Objects in Side Panel

Select a component of an affected object on a change order to view details of its reference designators in a side panel.

Import and Export Additional Configurations for Change Types

Eliminate manual configuration to accelerate the implementation timeline for your cloud environments. You can now import and export additional change type configuration such as propagation rules, entry and exit criteria, and creator settings.

Filter Change Statuses by Change Type

Use a Change Type filter in the My Changes panel to view change orders of a particular type, and quickly find the ones that require your attention.

Search for Manufacturers by Registry ID

Use the familiar Registry ID to easily search for manufacturers.

Product Hub

Govern Cyclic Relationships for Related Items Through Setup

Disallow cyclic item relationships from being created, using the Setup and Maintenance work area.

Save Products Without Required Values for Extensible Flexfields

Suppliers can now save products without entering all required values for extensible flexfields before submitting products in the Supplier Portal.

Search for Multiple Items

Search with multiple items.

Include Additional Related Item Attributes in OTBI Reports

Using OTBI, create item relationship reports that include additional attributes, such as extensible flexfields of the target item in the relationship.

Copy and Paste Items Using Clipboards

Use an item-based clipboard to copy and paste items from an items list to create structures or add affected objects to change orders.

Match Potential Duplicates Across Item Classes

You can now identify potential duplicate items across item classes that share the same data quality matching attributes.

Use Import Maps to Import Common Structures, and Reference Designators and Substitute Components with Start Dates

You can now use import maps to import common structures, and to import reference designators and substitute components with start dates.

Manage Item Import Data Using Transaction Type in Import Maps or Supplier Products REST Service

You can now specify values for the Transaction Type attribute in the item data that you import using import maps or the Supplier Products REST service. Values for Transaction Type include CREATE, UPDATE, SYNC, and DELETE.

Add Packaging Strings to Items

Add packaging strings to items in the Product Information Management work area. A packaging string represents how the packaging of a particular item is built in a hierarchy of applicable units of measure of the item, such as each into boxes, boxes into cases and cases into palettes.

Quickly Analyze Validation Errors for New Item Requests

Access the error log for a new item request directly. You can also navigate quickly to the definition task using an enhanced Go to Task icon.

Use Contextual Actions to Access Affected Item Details

Use contextual actions to quickly navigate to the item detail page of an affected item on a commercial change order, or to the development or commercial view of the item from the Change Summary view.

Integrate and Extend Product Hub Using REST Services

Manage Item Relationships Using a REST Service

Query and manage item relationships using a REST service.

Manage Trading Partner Items Using a REST Service

Use the trading partner item REST service to query, create, update, and delete trading partner items.

Product Development & Product Hub Common Features

Access OTBI Reports Securely

Securely generate and access OTBI analysis reports for structures and structure-related data.

Product Recall Management

Product Recall Management

Capture recall notices from regulatory authorities and manufacturers either from the user interface or by using file-based data import. Validate duplicate notices, if any. Locate recalled parts based on the on-hand inventory balance and historical purchases. Assign tasks to take the appropriate disposition action. Send notifications to users to perform the assigned tasks and capture the disposition details.

Quality Management

Assign Organizations to Quality Actions

Assign an organization to a quality action to define the primary location where that quality action must be executed or resolved. You can also restrict the visibility of the quality action to users from the assigned organization.

Enable Suppliers to Create and Manage Problem Reports and Corrective Actions

Enable suppliers to create and manage problem reports and corrective actions from the Supplier Portal. Suppliers can use a problem report to report a problem with an item and a corrective action to initiate corrective action when a problem is reported.

Use REST Services to Manage Approvers for Future Approval Statuses

Add or remove approvers in quality management workflows using a REST API. You can now add or remove approvers for future approval statuses as well.

Enforce Sampling Inspection Based on Acceptable Quality Limit

You can enforce sampling inspection based on an acceptable quality limit. The acceptable quality limit is a percent of nonconforming items out of the inspection quantity, which determines the sample size and number of rejected units allowed to qualify acceptance. You can select acceptable quality limit sampling when defining the inspection level applied to a receiving inspection plan for a combination of an item or item category and one or more suppliers.

Notify Users About Assignment Changes for Quality Issues and Quality Actions

Notify users when they are added as an assignee of a quality issue or action, and when the assignment is changed.

Search Inspections Based on Lot Number or Date Range

You can search for inspections based on a specific inventory lot or date range to narrow down your search results.
