Use REST APIs to add or remove relationships for your concepts and proposals in Oracle Innovation Management Cloud.

Product Development

Accelerate Searches for Affected Objects and Structure Components

Accelerate your item and change definition processes with faster searches. You can now use advanced search and keyword search to find the components you want to add to item structures, and the affected objects you want to add to changes, problem reports, and corrective actions.

Launch Change Order Reports Directly from Product Development

Launch OTBI reports for a change order directly from the Product Development work area. Use the Actions menu on the change order page to view and launch preconfigured reports. You can configure the reports that you want to launch in the Setup and Maintenance work area.

Gain Additional Insights Into Pending Revisions

Analyze AML and attachments for pending item revisions using the Structures and Components Subject Area in OTBI.

Leave Revision Blank During Change Order Creation

Leave the revision field blank when you copy an engineering change order to create a new one or when you assign an item to a change order.

Product Hub

Export and Import Item Classes and Child Entities

Export and import item classes and child entities from the Setup and Maintenance work area. The additional child entities include: attachment categories, descriptive flexfields, number/description generation content, new item request workflow definition details, change order type, transactional attributes, item class lifecycle phase, and import formats.

Publish Extended Item Data

Improve integration capabilities by including the Request ID and Object Version Number attributes in the publication payload.

Check for Item Match Upon Item Update

Whenever an item is updated, the data quality matching check runs, to display matches and prevent possible item duplicates.

Update and Delete Attachments Through Import

You can delete item, item revision, trading partner item, catalog, and category attachments through import using import maps and FBDI. You can now also update the category and file of these attachments through import.

You can now use import map smart spreadsheets on Macs.

Search UOM by Class Description

When creating items and selecting a primary unit of measure, you can now search for the UOM by UOM class description.

Control Role Expansion for Group Approvals

Reduce clutter in the Approvers table for a change order's approval status when you add roles that have a long list of members. If only one response is required on behalf of a role, the role is no longer expanded to show its members. All members of the role receive approval notifications, and you can track who signed off on behalf of the role.

Enforce Additional Constraints for Deletion of Items and Changes

Prevent accidental deletion of important data using delete constraints. You can now validate item and change deletions against an expanded set of constraints. For instance, existing relationships with other objects like changes or quality issues will prevent the item or change from being deleted.

Improve Change Order History Tracking

Capture approval comments in the action log and approval history.

Optimize Change Order Propagation

Ensure that a source organization's change orders are propagated when they reach Scheduled status, and that the change orders created by the propagation are in Open status. The 30-minute validation is bypassed and the propagation is recorded in the action log.

Display Date and Time Based on User Time Zone

Enable users to see the date and time based on their time zone across date fields in the Product Development work area.

Expand Item and Change Capabilities

Mark an item as public or private in Product Development. You can now use a REST API to retrieve master organization details. You can also create relationships between multiple change orders on a commercialization change order.

Quality Management

Enforce Sampling Inspection for a Work in Process Plan in Manufacturing

Associate a sampling inspection level with a mandatory Work in Process inspection plan in Manufacturing. This enforces inline sampling inspection for a non-serialized operation in a work order.

Perform Sampling Inspection with a Fixed Count Inspection Level

Inspect a predefined number of samples regardless of the quantity received or produced. You can define an inspection level with sampling enabled for a fixed count sampling plan.

Add Relationships Between Problem Reports and Corrective Actions

Create bi-directional relationships between problem reports and corrective actions.

Cancel Workflows for Quality Issues and Actions

Cancel workflows for quality issues or actions that are created by accident or are no longer relevant. Use the Cancel action on an object to close its workflow and remove it from the infolets on the Overview page.

View Audit Details and Comments for Quality Issues and Actions in Side Panel

Use the side panel view on a quality issue or action to view audit details for object attributes that are configured for auditing.  Comments now display in a separate side tab, instead of a dialog.  

Control Quality Object Creation with New Privilege

Use two different privileges to control who can create a quality object, and who can edit it. A new Create privilege lets you create, but not edit, quality objects. The Manage privilege lets you create and also edit quality objects.

View Inventory Lot Split, Lot Merge, and Lot Translation in Genealogy

View inventory lot split, lot merge, and lot translate transactions in genealogy details to visualize the relationships between the old lot numbers and the new lot numbers. You can also view the history of lot split, lot merge, and lot translations through the genealogy transaction timeline and click a transaction type link to review the inventory transaction details.
