Copy an Inspection Plan Within an Organization

Copy an inspection plan between item catalogs, items, or resources within an organization. You can choose to copy inspection criteria, action rules, and attachments. Inspection plan specifications are always copied.

Search for and Select an Item Using Autosuggest and Additional Information in Quality Inspection Plan and Inspection Pages

Search for and select an item when creating quality inspection plans and inventory inspections, using a common item search experience based on autosuggest and parametric and keyword search. You can optionally turn on item data security when searching for items.

View Parent Lot, Country of Origin, Project, and Task in Genealogy OTBI

Create and view lot and serial genealogy reports with parent lot, country of origin, project, and task information in OTBI.

Dual Units of Measure

Set up your Oracle Cloud applications so you can order, price, receive, pick, pack, and ship an item that you enable with primary and secondary UOM tracking. You might need to order, transfer, outsource, or buy an item in a unit of measure that's different from the unit of measure that you use to price, invoice, and cost it.

For example, you might stock and sell meat in cases, but price it in pounds. Each case of meat has a different price because the total weight in pounds varies from one case to the next, but you need to give your buyers an estimated price for each case.

You can use the dual UOM solution to meet this requirement. It's an end-to-end, integrated solution that works across the Oracle Cloud applications and helps you:

  • Simultaneously track an item in the primary UOM and secondary UOM throughout your order-to-cash process and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Capture the actual weight of the item that you sell, transfer, or purchase, so you can accurately price, invoice, and cost the item.
  • Provide a price estimate at the time of sale or purchase and maximize value according to the exact weight that you ship or receive.

Allow changes to the pricing UOM for items that are defined as having dual UOMs.

Define and Use Dual UOM Items and Substitutes Effectively by Leveraging New Validations

Leverage new validations when creating substitute relationships for your dual UOM items. The validations ensure an accurate substitute is defined.

Innovation Management

Leverage a Unique Number Attribute for Proposals

Identify each product proposal with a unique, autogenerated number to ensure that a consistent value is available for reference.

Extend Innovation Management REST Services

Use REST services to manage solution alternatives for concept components and to get the next status for product proposals.

Quickly Enter Reference Designators

Enter reference designators inline with the item component directly on the item structure tab. Use a comma-separated list of values, or a range, or a mix of both, to enter multiple values.

Allow Suppliers to View Only Item Structure and Where Used Reports

Use a new duty role to give suppliers granular access only to the Item Structure and Where Used reports.

Export and Import Item Class Attribute Group Assignments

Export and import item class attribute group assignments. You can now assign Product Hub Portal attributes and attribute groups for the Functional Item, Matching, and Overview pages.

Purge Automatically Generated Import Maps

Use the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process to delete import maps that are automatically created when you edit items using a spreadsheet.

Leverage New Item Attribute for Controlling the Supply Creation Date

Leverage a new item attribute that is used to control the date after which, the item can be used to create supply for Oracle Fusion Supply Planning.

Use Enhanced Import Map Smart Spreadsheet User Interface

Use the enhanced import map smart spreadsheet to easily create and update items. The smart spreadsheet layout has been improved for better usability.

Use the Items List of Values REST resource to query additional item attributes, item category associations, and item relationships.

Enrich Supplier-Specific Item Attributes Using Product Hub Portal

Add supplier organization association details in Product Hub Portal. Suppliers can now associate a supplier address and enrich its corresponding extensible flexfield values while creating or editing the products.

Use Assignee Role As Backup for Assignee

Specify the assignee role in addition to the assignee so that anyone from the role can take over the assignee's tasks if the assignee becomes unavailable. You can do this for change orders, change requests, problem reports, and corrective actions.

Identify Who Assigned a Change Task

See who assigned a change task and when it was assigned. New attributes in the Tasks table and in notifications now capture these details.

Control Role Expansion: New Item Request Definition

Avoid automatically expanding a role to show its members in the Definition status table if only one response is required on behalf of the role. A flat list replaces the tree table for quicker loading and readability. All members of the role will receive approval notifications, and you can still keep track of who signed off on behalf of the role.
