Autocomplete Changes Efficiently to Ensure Change Workflow Resiliency

Ensure that a change order automatically moves to the Completed status when its last incomplete change line is canceled. With this update, the Autocomplete on Cancel option in change type setup is checked by default.

Analyze Where Items Are Used As Substitutes

When you perform a Where Used query in the UI for an item, you can now select to include substitute component information for the first level of the item structure in the search results. When you generate an Item Where Used report in OTBI, you can include substitute components across all structure levels. Additionally, you can see substitute component attributes and descriptive flexfields in the change order details report.

Use Enhanced REST Services to Manage Items and Changes

Use the updated item and change REST APIs to access change tasks, change workflow statuses, and expand item structures.

Reinstate Obsolete Items to Earlier Lifecycle Phases

Demote items that are in the Obsolete lifecycle phase to an earlier lifecycle phase such as Design or Production. For engineering items, you can route the demotion through a change order. For commercial items, you can do this with or without a change order.

Use Audit Reports to Govern User Activities on Attachments

Improve data governance by monitoring the check in, check out, cancel check out, and download activities on the attachments business object.

Notify Approvers upon Removal from Approvers List

Inform users that their approval is no longer required when they are removed from the approvers list of a change workflow. FYI notifications now show the role name in the assignee field rather than the list of role members for change orders, change requests, problem reports, and corrective actions.

Associate Trading Partner References to a Change or Quality Workflow

Use attributes such as Customer, Supplier, Manufacturer, and Source to optionally include information on the origination of problem reports, corrective actions, change orders, and change requests. The REST API resources and FBDI import template now include these attributes.
