Agency staff using Permit Designer can configure permit types for the intake application.
Enhancements for plan review have been added, including the ability for agency staff to search on a person's first or last name in the Plan Review Details page. Additionally, agency staff with plan coordination responsibilities, can now select plan reviewers via a drop-down list. The plan reviewers displayed in the drop-down list must have job attributes that match the permit type of the plan review.
Registered public users and agency staff now have the ability to attach documents to the permit transaction.
Agency administration can clone a permit type and add validation to the workflow configuration for the permit type setup.
Oracle Inspector is a mobile application available in the Apple iTunes and Google Play store. The application allows building inspectors to access, perform, and document inspections for building permits. The application is only available with a subscription license for Oracle Public Sector Community Development.
Introduction of an Inspection subject area within Oracle Transaction Business Intelligence Cloud.
Manual Inspection Scheduling and Assignment
Manual assignment and scheduling of inspectors is now available. Additionally, automatic assignment and scheduling is available based on the agency's business rules.
Inspection Scheduling Method Request
Requests for inspection scheduling have been enhanced to include the ability to submit the Inspection Type as "Requested" allowing agency staff to create a date and time for the inspection. In addition, the public user or agency staff can also cancel an inspection in "Requested" status.
Agency Console with Inspection List
Agency staff can access an Inspection Console where they can view a list of all the inspections in the system. From this console, staff can filter the results to find specific inspections.
Inspection Lists for Agency Staff and Registered Public Users
This enhancement provides two lists:
- A list of the inspections that have been assigned to agency staff with a role of "Inspector".
- A List of inspections for the registered public users for their applied permits.
Global Header Search Function for Inspections
This enhancement allows users to search for inspections from the search function in the global header.
This enhancement provides agency staff with the role of "Inspection Supervisor" a list of all agency inspections.
This enhancement provides agency supervisors access to a page displaying the assigned and unassigned inspections at any given time.
The property information feature allows agency staff to import property address, parcel, and owner information to support the application and process of building permits.
This enhancement enables the addition, view, deletion, and update of parcel detail attachment and address detail attachments.
This enhancement allows a system administrator to delete a parcel from the agency's configuration.
Public Sector Community Development allows agency staff to group transaction activity under a project and to identify a public user project manager.
Display Project ID on Permit List and Overview Tab
This enhancement allows the project identification to display on the permit list and permit overview tab.
This feature provides agency staff the ability to apply Lock, Hold, and Notice conditions to a transaction.
Display Conditions Under Application Icon on the Registered Public User Landing Page
Registered public users are quickly informed about the most severe conditions that have been applied to a Public Sector Community Development application with the display of the condition under the Application Icon on the Registered Public User Landing Page.
Agencies can now add and configure hyperlinks in the footer of Public Sector Community Development pages.
Public Sector Community Development Solution Packages offer a collection of configurations that address common community development functionality with industry best practices.
Accounting Segment Description
Accounting segment descriptions have been added to the journal line page for ERP integration.
Project Name Display for Payments
With the introduction of Projects, the Project Name is now displayed for transaction payments.
Agencies can now offer PayPal as a public payment method in Public Sector Community Development transactions.
Oracle Finance Cloud Integration
Integration between Public Sector Community Development and Finance Cloud General ledger is now available. Public Sector Community Development fee and payment transaction information can now be exported and prepared for import into Finance Cloud General Ledger.
Inspection Workflow Update Upon Completion
Within inspection workflow, the workflow task is automatically updated once the final inspection task is complete, allowing the workflow to automatically move to the next step.
Prevent Progression Due to a Condition
Within a workflow task, the condition 'Prevent Issue', prohibits the final step of the workflow from advancing. Agency staff then has the ability to update the workflow status by selecting the available status from the drop down list found on the Permit Detail Page - Workflow Tab.
Registered public users that maintain multiple profiles are able to switch between those profiles on pages from within Public Sector Community Development.
Account management allows the public user to maintain basic account information. This includes:
- Registering for an account
- Maintaining contact information
- Accessing licenses
- Maintaining their public user profile
- Updating their user preferences
Add Attachments to Accounts and Profiles
This enhancement allows a registered public user to add attachments to their accounts or profiles as configured by the agency setup. Examples of relevant attachments may include copies of a registered public user's professional or business license that supports the application review and processing of their transactions.
Agency Profile Date and Time Format
Agency administrator sets the date and time format for an agency within the Agency Profile.
This enhancement allows the agency to import agency employee profile information into Public Sector Community Development.
Messaging requirements for agency staff and public users are available through multi-cannel communication. This includes:
- System and ad hoc emails
- Web reply forms
- Alerts
- In-product notifications
Event driven emails have been added to communications for Public Sector Community Development in the areas of Fees and Inspections.
For fees event driven emails alert the applicant that new fees have been assigned to their transaction.
For inspections event driven emails do the following:
- Notify an applicant of an inspector's estimated time of arrival.
- Notify recipients that the inspection has passed.
- Notify agency staff that the final inspection is complete.
