Public Sector Community Development
Common Community Development Features
Copy Application Information from One Transaction to Another
An applicant can copy permits to retain information for ease of use. An applicant can copy the same permit type but for a different address or they can also create permits for different permit types for the same address.
The account menu icon for signed in users is displayed as the user's first name and last name initials rather than their full name.
Update Transaction Markers with CIM Symbols
Esri Cartographic Information Model (CIM) symbols are being used for display of transaction locations on a map.
Search Enhancements for APO Application Intake
You can search for multiple address and parcels at the same time. Once found, you can add these addresses to your application.
Permits and planning entitlements can be located at addresses with no listed parcel.
Additional Delivered Standard Fields
Additional standard fields for master parcel have been added, including:
- General plan
- Tax rate area
- Census tract
- Flood zone
- Climate zone
Previously delivered Solution Packages have been updated for 20B.
Reusable Agency Created Fields on Intake Types
Agency created fields are reusable on the intake types in which they are created. For example, if a new field is created for a permit type, that field can be reused for other permit types.
Enable/Disable Document Groups
Agency staff can enable or disable document groups so that attachments can be grouped according to agency-defined combinations of categories and subcategories. Uploaded documents retain their assigned association with disabled document groups, categories or subcategories while new uploads cannot be associated with disabled document groups, categories or subcategories.
Inheritance of Person Lock, Hold, and Notice Conditions on Transactions
Lock, hold, and notice conditions can be applied to a registered public user at the account level or the profile level.
View Only Access for Custom Objects
A new role allows agency users to have view only access to custom objects such as fields added by agencies to supplement delivered fields.
Accept Button for Terms and Conditions
An accept button has been added to the terms and conditions page.
Bookmarked URLs for records, pages, and landing pages used by registered public users will open the corresponding page after the user logs into the Public Sector Community Development.
Agency Option to Select Languages Offered to Public Users
An agency has the option to suppress languages that aren't supported for public user or employee use. Only the supported languages will appear as an option for preferred language selection.
Modify Labels or Hide Fields for Parcel Information
Manage your parcel information by changing the label or hiding a specific master parcel field.
Fee estimates prior to permit or planning application submittal are given according to agency fee schedules and data driven fee indicators.
Refunds are available for the full amount of fee items that have been paid.
The Projects Dashboard provides real-time analytics for your projects information. Based on the Projects subject area delivered in 20A, the Projects Dashboard includes metrics such as total projects, total underlying transactions, and aggregated fee amounts.
Code Enforcement Case Subject Area
The Code Enforcement Case subject area provides real-time analytics based on workflow related information. Using this subject area, you can gain valuable insight into your agency's code enforcement cases.
Drill Down to Transactions from Reports
Links available in the reports will navigate users to corresponding pages within the application. For example, by selecting the link in the permit number, the user will be taken to the Permits page within Public Sector Community Development.
Permit Extension and Communication
Agency staff can enable automatic permit extensions based on inspection activity. They can also configure communications to be sent out when the permit is about to expire or is expired.
Web reply forms are sent to public users when the agency requires additional information. Public users can add additional documentation as attachments to the web reply forms, if necessary, for additional processing.
Required Plan Review Departments
Agencies can configure default plan review departments by permit type so that each plan review cycle includes a pre-populated list of departments.
Plan Reviews Listed by Reviewer and Due Date
Agencies are able to add a due date field for each plan review cycle. This allows prioritization to be enforced according to the due dates. Plan reviewers and plan check coordinators are notified when a plan review is not complete the day before plan reviews are due. Plan reviewers can also view the list of plan reviews assigned to them by priority and showing the service level agreement due date.
Plan Reviewer Multi-Select Actions
Multiple plan reviewers can simultaneously be assigned to a plan review cycle or to a specific plan review document with a single multi-select action.
Inspection Schedule Request by Date and AM/PM
Inspection schedule requests can be made by date and either AM or PM allowing the applicant to request the inspection in the morning or afternoon as designated by the agency.
Inspection Location with Address and No Parcel
Inspection locations with an address but no property parcel can be identified for transactions such as building permits, planning entitlements, and code enforcement incidents.
Code Enforcement Incident Intake and Processing
Code Enforcement incident intake and processing enhancements include:
- Additional actions from the incident review list.
- Ability for agencies to determine whether contact information of reporter is required.
- Ability to reassign inspector from the incident detail page.
- Ability to add a reason when closing an incident.
Mobile Inspections Enhancements
Oracle Municipal Code Officer enhancements include:
- Replacement of the result inspection button with an icon
- Addition of a "ready" flag for all initial inspections against an incident that are already scheduled and for violations/citations where the compliance date is lesser than the current date
- Badge counts for attachments and comments icons
- Ability to view details from the Action List
- Enhanced search capabilities
Agency staff can search for code enforcement cases using the case number, responsible party, location or the Code Officer. The global search results will appear in three additional tabs specific to Code Enforcement: Cases, Incidents, and Citations.
Auto Assignment of Incidents and Cases
Code officers and technicians can be automatically assigned cases and incidents based on availability, geography, and workload. Agencies can also determine total daily inspections per inspector.
Pre-Application and Applications
Related Transactions Tab for Pre-Applications
The Related Transactions tab for pre-applications displays the following:
- Transactions manually linked by agency staff
- Required applications identified by agency planner from a pre-application outcome
- Project transactions
The existing "Review Summary" tab for pre-applications has been replaced with the new "Pre-Application Outcome" tab.
