Permitting and Licensing

Permitting and Licensing Common

Business Rules Framework

Support GIS Attributes in Business Rules Framework

The current condition behavior is extended to automatically apply conditions by permit type, GIS attributes, and permit information including standard information or agency defined field values.

Dynamic Resource Support for Intake Forms

You can select and use dynamic resources with custom objects when configuring the criteria in a Business Rules Framework rule.

Financial Framework

Total Fees by Category

Agency staff can now see the total fees for a case grouped by the Fee Item under Fees and Payments tab.

System Administration

Custom Filters Persist for Session

The custom filter applied to a list or grid persists after you open the details of a particular item. The filter remains applied to the list for the current browser session or until you remove it.

Legacy Data Migration Bulk Delete of Code Cases, Incidents, and Business Licenses

This feature extends the current ability to delete migrated rows in a test environment for Code Enforcement Cases and Incidents, Business Licenses, and related transactions.

Permits and Inspections

Subapplications

You can add or create a subapplication from various pages. You can make multiple copies of a permit to create subapplications and link them to the primary permit. Additionally, you can start a subapplication from the Permit Details Overview page.

Required Property Location Setting

The property location setting can be set as required by each application type.

Contractor Lifecycle Management

Contractor registration, renewal, and expiration are now available. A new subclassification is being delivered to support Contractor Registration. When you configure a transaction type with this subclassification, the transaction will display Contractor Registration and Registration Information.

Inspections

Inspection Dependencies for Primary and Subapplications

A new Inspection Dependencies page is available allowing you to configure default inspection dependencies that apply across permits and subapplications.

Reschedule, Hold, and Cancel Inspections

The cancel action has been removed from the action menu for Inspections and replaced with a Reschedule option. You can put a scheduled inspection on hold prior to rescheduling.

Plan Review

Default Filter for Plan Review Console

You can configure a default filter for the Plan Review console.

Planning and Zoning

Planning Activity Updates

Agencies can update the planning activities after a planning record has reached a terminal status. Additionally, planning activity due date calculations can now be calculated using the agency's work and holiday calendars.

Public Hearing Enhancements

You can now reorder the scheduled hearing items and generate a hearing agenda based on those items.

Code Enforcement

History and Reason for Code Violation Status

History and reason codes have been added when updating the comply by date for an individual code violation status.

Appeal and Hearing Custom Status

The existing custom status for system status mapping has been extended to the appeal and hearing system statuses. This gives you more flexibility to manage your processes that take place when a case is in the appeal or hearing phase.

Ad Hoc and Recurring Fines for a Code Violation

You can add an ad hoc fine for a code violation from the Code Violation page. The fee line displays the source transaction as the Code Violation ID on the Fee and Payments page. This fine will be considered while displaying the total code violation fees. A recurring fine for a code violation can also be triggered from the Fee and Payments page as well.

Business Licensing

Single Intake for Multiple Business Licenses

One intake process supports the application for multiple business license types. Specific information, such as location and owner information, are collected one time and apply to the multiple licenses.

Multiple NAICS Codes for a Business License

Your agency can configure whether applicant can select one or multiple classifications for a business license type. When the multiple option is available, applicants may elect multiple NAICS codes to represent more than one classification for that business license application. You can associate multiple NAICS codes to a business license to reflect which requirements map to multiple business activities for that location. Agencies can add and delete the NAICS code assigned and reassess the fees for the business license. Agency uses designer tools to set as required or optional for intake collection.

Update Inspection Address for Business License Location

The inspection address will be updated when the location of the business location is updated within the agency's jurisdiction. When the location is updated outside of the agency's jurisdiction, active inspections are canceled when the address is updated.

Exclude Business License Information from Search Using the Location Type Attribute

Agencies can define a location type attribute to identify the type of property where the business activity is performed. By defining the Location type attribute, agencies can exclude specific location types when public users search an address associated with that type in Global Search or Explore Your City.

Inactivate Business License

Agency staff can inactivate a license from the standard page. A message is displayed when location or entity no longer has an active business license associated with it. This includes communication that the license is inactive.  The certificate status is updated with the inactive information

Parcel Reference Link to Business Licenses

A link has been provided between the reference parcel to the business license. The link is displayed in the existing Parcel Transactions tab.

Consolidated Certificate for Multiple Business Licenses

Businesses can print one certificate for all the licenses awarded to a specific location or business entity.

Additional Property Reference Grid on Business License Transactions

An additional property reference grid allows the application to retrieve GIS information from map layer content after the business location is selected on the business license application.
