Replenishment Planning

Maintain optimum inventory levels at each node of your supply chain to meet customer service targets at the lowest inventory cost. Use automated processes to maintain inventory policy parameters and improve customer service levels. These automated processes dynamically update the inventory to keep on hand and reduce costs by calculating the economic order quantity for replenishment when appropriate.

After you opt in to the feature named Replenishment Planning, you can use the features described in this section.

Plan Items with Safety Stock Targets Even If There Is No Demand

Ensure there is enough safety stock to support demand for new products with long lead times even when you haven't been able to formally forecast for the new product or haven't had sales orders yet.

Display Only Measures Meeting the Find Condition When Configuring Tables and Graphs

Display only the measures meeting the find condition when selecting measures for inclusion in tables and graphs.

Filter Selections in Individual Graphs

Plot a graph for a subset of data that is of interest to you by selecting the level values embedded in the graph. Configure the graph by selecting the filter level in a hierarchy.

Update Planning Table Measure Data in Batch Mode

Use a scheduled process to efficiently update a large volume of data in a planning table in bulk in the background. You can work on other tasks in Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud while the updates are being processed.

Sequence Planning Processes Using Job Sets

Configure job sets so that planning batch processes, such as planning collections and a plan run, can be configured to run in sequence one after the other without manual intervention.

Project-Driven Supply Chain

Project-Driven Supply Chain is an end-to-end, integrated solution across the Oracle Supply Chain Management and Project Management Cloud applications.  This solution is designed to support various business processes of manufacturing and asset-intensive companies.

You can use the Project-Driven Supply Chain solution to manage your supply chain processes in the context of projects without creating separate organizations for each project. You can also capture supply chain costs as project expenditures.

After you opt in to the feature named Project-Driven Supply Chain, you can use the feature described in this section.

Analyze End Demands by Project Using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence

Analyze end demands using the Project Group, Project, and Task attributes on the end demand, and the order details of the orders that the end demand is pegged to.

Constraint-Based Planning

Create and run supply plans that consider material and capacity constraints. Focus on meeting demand on time by evaluating all possible alternatives, such as using different sources, substitute components, or alternative work definitions.

After you opt in to the feature named Constraint-Based Planning, you can use the feature described in this section.

Plan Considering On-Hand Lot Expiration Dates

Ensure that a pegged on-hand lot won't expire before the demand due date.

Order Backlog Management

Reschedule your order backlog by prioritizing orders based on flexible demand priority rules. You can simulate the effect of different rules to find the best combination of scheduled dates and sources based upon the latest supply information, and release the updated orders to order management systems for execution.

After you opt in to the feature named Order Backlog Management, you can use the features described in this section.

Access Tasks As Quick Actions on a Home Page

Select tasks that are exposed as quick actions on the home page without accessing a supply chain planning work area.

Schedule Internal Sales Orders from External Source Systems

Import internal sales orders from external source systems, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, so you can view and reschedule them like regular sales orders in order backlog management.

Production Scheduling

Generate feasible factory schedules that maximize shop floor throughput and return on investment in resources and labor. You can calculate, manage, and monitor realistic schedules that the shop floor can execute on, while optimizing the usage of critical resources and meeting customer demand on time as best as possible.

In update 21A, Oracle Production Scheduling Cloud is on controlled availability and is available only to customers who've been given a promotion code to access it. To inquire about the promotion code for this feature, contact your Oracle account representative.

Manage Production Schedules and Schedule Options

Create, update, view, and delete named production schedules as needed. Manage scheduling options for a named schedule including the facilities and items being scheduled, the scheduling horizon, and the time fence within which new production can't take place.

Monitor Schedule Performance

Monitor the performance of a schedule through metrics on resource and labor utilization, demand that is met on time, late orders, and downtime due to changeovers.

Model User-Defined Attribute Sequences

Use attribute-based sequences as an input for generating production schedules.

View and Adjust the Production Schedule

Visualize the production schedule through a Gantt chart, including upstream and downstream operations, so that you can make manual adjustments to fine-tune the production schedule as needed.

Integrate Scheduling and Execution

Synchronize all necessary transaction and master data information required for production scheduling in real time with Oracle Manufacturing Cloud.

Schedule Using Attribute-Based Changeovers

Consider and manage attribute-based changeovers while creating production schedules.
