Overview

HCM Cloud applications have two types of patches you can receive that are documented in this New Feature Summary:

  • Release Updates (22A, 22B, 22C, and 22D)
  • Optional Monthly Maintenance Packs to each update

It is important for you to know what Release Update your environment is on. You can find this in your Cloud Portal.

Career Development

Oracle Career Development provides tools for workers and managers to manage their career interests and development plans. These tools include recommendations on roles based on workers’ qualifications, comparisons to target roles and required development needs for workers. You can establish development goals and manage development progress, by managing the roles of interest for the worker and comprehensive development plan for workers.

You can now manage your near and long-term career development strategies using a development plan. Based on your role permissions, you can create and manage your development goals within your development plan. You can tag goals with Development Intents. Development Intents are tags that allow you to organize and track your goal towards future development.

Explore Careers in Skills Center

Enable your employees to explore a wide range of career advancement opportunities within your organization in Skills Center using these features:

  • Oracle Search powered by search term suggestions 
  • Enhanced filtering capabilities such as job family, job function and skills 

Career Ambassadors in Skills Center

Proactively manage your career by connecting with the career ambassadors recommended to you in the Skills Center. Reach out to career ambassadors who have the skills you need to develop or skill you are interested in. Sign up to be a career ambassador so you can help others and build your network within the organization.

Configurable Business Title Switcher in Talent Manager Overview Pages

Easily identify the manager's required assignment in the Career Overview & Goals and Performance Overview pages by configuring additional assignment attributes to display in the Business Title switcher.

Oracle Touchpoints is a continuous listening and action channel between employees and managers to create meaningful interactions that build trust, boost retention, and foster growth. Touchpoints is a separately sold product.

Support your employees' need to feel heard and valued every day. Introducing Oracle Touchpoints, a continuous listening and action channel between employees and managers to create meaningful interactions that build trust, boost retention, and foster growth. Key features included in this release:

  • Managers can take the right steps to build trust with their team by connecting sentiment with actions.
  • Managers and employees can have continuous, impactful conversations through ongoing check-ins with custom or recommended discussion topics.
  • Employees can review their past and upcoming events and interactions, pulse trends, take recommended actions, and schedule manager check-ins, all from a single page.

Touchpoints Experience for Managers

Help managers understand employee engagement activities and pulse trends and have continuous, impactful conversations with employees through ongoing check-ins, feedback, and recognition. 

Touchpoints Experience for Employees

Enable employees to review their past and upcoming events and interactions, view pulse trends, take recommended actions, and schedule check-ins with their manager. 

Career Development

Development Goal FYI Notifications

See that the feature options for the HR assigned development goal notifications are now renamed as:

  • Assigned goals inactivated by worker notification
  • Assigned goals inactivated by manager notification
  • Assigned goals deleted by worker notification
  • Assigned goals deleted by manager notification

Goal Management

Oracle Goal Management enables you to transform business objectives into goals across various organization levels, providing a clear line of sight from managers to employees. Business leaders can communicate high-level initiatives which managers can translate into goals for their employees.

Managers Delete HR Assigned Goals

Specify if HR Specialist want to allow managers to delete the goal, when assigning performance goals.

Human Resource Specialist Shared Goals

Configure a process to mass share performance goals with selected workers. The workers with whom the goal is shared can view and add the goals to their goal plan.

Performance Management

Oracle Performance Management supports features and functions for measuring and reporting worker performance.

All-In-One Evaluations

Speed up a manager's evaluation of employees by providing ratings and comments for competencies and section summaries, for multiple employees with the same performance document, all in one page. Drill down to individual employee performance documents to evaluate goals and see additional reference information.

Configurable Business Title Switcher in Manager Evaluate Performance Page

Identify easily a manager's assignment when they have more than one, in the Manager Evaluate Performance page, by configuring additional assignment attributes to display in the Business Title switcher.

Support for Additional Comments in Printed Requested Feedback

View additional comments given by the feedback provider while printing requested feedback. If the requested feedback questionnaire includes the option to add additional comments, the print version will now include the comments.

Thank Requested Feedback Provider

Enhance the requested feedback experience by thanking the feedback provider. Depending on who’s allowed to view the requested feedback, the manager, HR specialist, or employee can send a thank you note to the feedback provider.

Performance Management Replaced or Removed Features

From time to time, Oracle replaces existing features with new features, or removes existing features.

Replaced features may be put on a path of removal, the features below will let you know what update you will have to have moved to the newer feature. As a best practice, you should move to the newer feature as soon as possible for full support and to stay up with the latest updates that the product offers.

Any feature that is removed, will have an Update in which that feature is no longer available. Please make necessary plans to move off the feature by the Update indicated, as it will no longer be available.

Performance Management My Organization Page is Removed

The quick action to access the classic UI Performance page, My Organization, for managers has been removed in Release 22D. You can create your own custom versions of the reports from My Organization to meet your specific requirements using OTBI. Example reports created using OTBI are published in Oracle Cloud Customer Connect https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/9eb532462e

Questionnaire

Survey employees with our Questionnaires.

Enhanced Presentation Options for New Subscribers

Present response options as a set of horizontal buttons in single-choice and multiple-choice questions created for two new subscribers, Touchpoints and Journey Surveys. Additionally, present questionnaires with different pagination options, such as one question per page, one section per page, or all questions in one page for these two subscribers.

Question Versions Included in List of Values

Identify the version of a question when adding it to a questionnaire or questionnaire template. Retrieve the version number of a question when performing a GET operation on a Questionnaire object.

New User Entity for Extracting Questionnaire Responses

Use the new user entity, Extract Question Responses – Large Object, in HCM Extracts to extract Character Large Object (CLOB) data including VARCHAR2 2000 or VARCHAR2 4000 data types from the Questionnaire Responses object.

Profile Management

Oracle Profile Management provides a common foundation for the talent suite of products and other Oracle Cloud applications to retrieve, insert, and update talent profile information. Profile Management also supports the HR specialists, line managers, matrix managers, and employees in performing critical HR talent functions. Managing people and job profiles, career planning functions, managing, and tracking talent data can be also done through Profile Management.

Allow Peers to View Feedback and Notes

Enhance the usability of feedback by allowing peers of the feedback recipient to view the feedback. Additionally, allow talent review meeting notes to be viewed by peers.

Celebrations Context Type in Feedback Visibility Configuration

Leverage the new context type ORA_CELEBRATION_TYPE to support the Celebrations feature in Oracle Touchpoints. Configure visibility options that apply only to the Celebrations feature.

Thank Anytime Feedback Provider

Enhance the feedback experience by thanking the feedback provider. Depending on the feedback visibility settings, the manager, HR specialist or employee can send a thank you note to the feedback provider. This feature is available in Anytime Feedback and Oracle Touchpoints.

Succession Management

Oracle Succession Management helps to create succession plans to replace key personnel. Succession plans identify workers who are ready now, or can develop the necessary skills, for jobs and positions that aren't currently vacant, insuring, a smooth transition and help you to manage candidate development.

Refine Best Successors

Refine the list of AI-recommended succession candidates by applying business unit, grade, or location filters to the results.

Search for Candidates and Pool Members

Use the search by name feature to quickly find candidates in succession plans and members in talent pools you can access. Additionally, you can now sort candidates and pool members by their active or inactive status.

New Candidate Since and Member Since Record Fields

Use new back-end fields, added to replace the existing Candidate Since field in succession plans and Member Since field in talent pools. Custom reports should use these fields as of this release.

Enhancement to the Autocomplete Rules for Succession Plans Business Object

Extend the use of autocomplete rules for the Succession Plans business object by using the additional Succession Plan attributes that are now exposed in Autocomplete.

Talent Review

Oracle Talent Review is an analytic product enabling your organization to review and evaluate data from the profile, performance, goals, career development, and compensation management solutions.

Talent Review Print Profiles Content Access

Print profiles content to which facilitators or managers have access to view when they use the Print Profiles feature on the Talent Review dashboard.

Transactional Business Intelligence for Talent Management

Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence is a real time, self-service reporting solution offered to all Oracle Cloud application users to create ad hoc reports and analyze them for daily decision-making.  Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence provides human resources managers and specialists, business executives, and line managers the critical workforce information to analyze workforce costs, staffing, compensation, performance management, talent management, succession planning, and employee benefits.

File Attachment Attributes to Profile Subject Area

Enhance your reporting on the file attachments information in the Person Profile Real Time subject area with the addition of relevant attributes to the all profile content folder.
