Benefits

Benefits

Oracle Benefits is a complete, configurable and flexible global solution that enables organizations to successfully evolve and adapt to the unique needs of their workforce. The solution enables setup of traditional 'one-size fits all' plans to highly complex plans that selectively target different workforce segments with different benefit packages. Self-service capabilities present the user with an out of the box intuitive guided enrollment process with contextual information and embedded analytics.

Purge Benefits Staging Data

Improve performance by purging old or unwanted staging data generated by the benefits extract and spreadsheet loader processes, using the new Purge Stage Data process.

You can purge either Benefits Extract or Spreadsheet Loader staging data by batch or date range. You can track the progress and view the log file through the usual way. However, you can only purge data which is older than six months old from today's date to prevent you from purging data that you might still require.

Once you purge the data, it cannot be recovered.

Upload Documents to Fulfill Pending Actions

Enable participants to upload documents to fulfil pending action items. Participants can already upload documents from the Documents button on the landing page, and from other places too, but now, if the participant has enrolled on a program or plan that requires certification, they can upload the document for certification from the Pending Actions page itself. The benefit is that the participant doesn't need to worry about selecting the correct document type, as the application already determines that information. All the participant has to do is to upload the correct document.

Participants can upload documents for themselves, or for their dependents or beneficiaries. The participant needs to have a copy of the document ready, either a pdf, a scanned in version, or have the document as a soft copy from any other means. They can also link to a file.

Administrators only have to go to one place, the Benefits Service Centre, to manage those documents from pending approval to approval. They can track and view a document’s history in one place, and see which documents were uploaded, their status, rejection reasons, and so on. Administrators can also upload documents for participants, if participants are unable to do so themselves. And documents are stored in Document Record, so they are always available to be viewed and updated by the participant or administrator.

Payroll

Global Payroll

Oracle Global Payroll is a high-performance, graphical, rules-based payroll management application. It’s designed to keep pace with the changing needs of your enterprise and workforce in order to reduce setup costs, administration, and processing time. It operates globally and consistently in every country supported by Oracle. Enhanced Security for SmartNav and Actions Menus on HR and Payroll Person Search

The privileges that secure tasks on SmartNav and Actions Menus on HR and Payroll Person Search have changed. The following tasks are affected:

  • Adjust Individual Balances
  • Manage Costing for Persons
  • Manage Element Entries
  • Manage Calculation Cards
  • Manage Payroll Relationships
  • View Process Results
  • Calculate QuickPay
  • View Payment Results

The same privileges now secure the Quick Actions and the SmartNav and Actions Menus on HR and Payroll Person Search tasks.

Prorate Elements Entries Based on Compensation Salary Changes

Prorate an employee’s payments or deductions based on changes to their compensation salary record. It is common practice for customers to define elements that are based on a percentage of salary. For example, an allowance payment is calculated based on 5% of salary. If the employee’s compensation salary record is updated mid payroll period, the allowance also needs to be updated on the same date.

You can now track payroll events on changes to the compensation salary record and associate these events with element proration event groups. This enables changes in an employee’s compensation salary record to trigger the proration of dependent earnings and deductions.

Create costing eligibility rules for payroll relationship level elements based on assignment data. This enables you to cost payroll relationship elements using employee assignment attributes such as Department, Job, Position, and People Group.

Hide Person Name in Subledger Accounting
