Benefits

Benefits

Oracle Benefits is a complete, configurable and flexible global solution that enables organizations to successfully evolve and adapt to the unique needs of their workforce. The solution enables setup of traditional 'one-size fits all' plans to highly complex plans that selectively target different workforce segments with different benefit packages. Self-service capabilities present the user with an out of the box intuitive guided enrollment process with contextual information and embedded analytics.

Improved My Dashboard Page in Benefits Service Center

Notice the improved performance of My Dashboard when you launch the Benefits Service Centre. It now loads much more quickly than it did previously, even if your enterprise has a huge employee base. When you launch My Dashboard, only the top four counts appear. You can click Show More to see the next counts. You can change which counts appear when you first launch the My Dashboard page, and which ones only display when you click Show More. The 'People with closed life events’ count no longer appears out of the box, but you can display this if you need to see this count.

You can turn off counts for those areas that you are not interested in. For example, you can turn off “People with unpaid bills” if your enterprise doesn’t use the Billing feature. You can also change the sequence in which you want the counts to appear.

Payroll

Payroll for the United States

Payroll for Oracle Human Capital Management for the United States supports country specific features and functions for the United States. It enables users to follow the United States business practices and comply with its statutory requirements.

Override SUI Wage Limits

Control state unemployment insurance (SUI) calculations through the addition of state unemployment wage limits. You can now set limits for SUI wages for your payroll statutory units (PSUs) or tax reporting units (TRUs). These settings override your US legislative data group's predefined limits. Limits you set at lower levels override those at higher levels.

Enhancements to VETS Reporting

Comply with the Department of Labor requirements with enhancements to the VETS-4212 report. These enhancements include changes to how you set the maximum and minimum number of employees, how the report counts active employees, and how you identify the start date of your pay period.

Enhancements to EEO-1 Reporting

Use the EEO-1 Component 1 report has been enhanced to provide more accurate results. This includes reporting employees identifying as "non-binary" and resolving an issue the E-text file where hyphens were causing errors.

Check Limit Taxes for Your Organization

Control how the payroll process tracks limit taxes. You can now choose to track federal and state taxes by individual tax reporting unit (TRU) or by all TRUs within a payroll statutory unit (PSU). By default, all federal taxes with limits (such as Social Security and FUTA) are tracked at the PSU level. All state taxes with limits (such as SUI and SDI) are tracked by the individual TRU.

Enhancements to SUI Wage Credit Calculation

Augment your SUI wage credit calculations for employee transfers. Previously, SUI wage credit was enabled for all states except Pennsylvania. With this enhancement, for those states that don't give SUI wage credit, the payroll process now resets the person's SUI wage bases after the transfer. It doesn't give any credit for time worked in the previous state. With this feature, by default, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, and Pennsylvania don't give credit for other work states. In addition, some states only give credit if certain conditions are met. You can now enforce this at the payroll statutory unit, tax reporting unit, and individual employee levels.

Benefits

Send Email Alerts to Participants Automatically

Send email alerts to participants automatically. Using the delivered notification templates, you can now send personalized emails to participants to notify them about open enrollment, provide a summary of their selected benefits, or send a reminder if they don’t select their benefits. You can also send email notifications to participants to let them know that the administrator has approved or rejected their uploaded documents.

You can enable individual notifications, or all the notifications we deliver. You can modify the content to meet your enterprise’s communication style, such as changing the text itself or re-formatting the message text. You can select options such as font, size, and style. You can add graphics or change the links for example.

You enable and modify the templates using the common Alerts functionality.

Suppress Authorization Page in Benefits Service Center

Suppress the Authorization Page in the enrollment flow launched from the Benefits Service Center if you don’t want it to appear for administrators. You can, however, display the Authorization page in the self-service pages for participants, irrespective of whether or not you suppress it in the enrollment flow launched from the Benefits Service Centre.

Enhanced Diagnostic Reports

Resolve setup and person certification issues much more quickly and easily. The Benefits Setup Diagnostic Test report now has a new parameter called Compute Statistics, that enables you to recompute the statistics for benefits transaction tables if they are found to be stale. There are now also sections that report on the profile values related to logging the PL/SQL tracing and the new responsive user interface. There are sections that report on the custom lookup values controlling features like the flex credits rate start date evaluation and the benefit relations post-termination.

There are sections for alert configuration and recently failed alerts, and sections for the stale statistics details for key benefits transaction tables. This stale statistics information is useful for resolving issues for customers with very large employee populations or complex benefit plan design, or a combination of both. The Person Benefits Diagnostic Test report now has additional sections added to help you to resolve issues for a person. The sections added include the participant certification details, dependent certification details and beneficiary certificate details. By providing the statistics and further information in the reports themselves, you can share these reports with Oracle Support to help resolve setup or person certification issues.

Benefits Redesigned User Experience

Increase user satisfaction with the redesigned pages that now have the same look and feel on desktop and mobile devices. These redesigned pages are both responsive and easy to use on any device, with a modern look and conversational language. Clutter-free pages, with clean lines and just the essential fields, can be personalized to suit.

Override the grade rate of a salary basis using a grade rate type of salary range differential. For example, you create a differential that includes the compensation zones San Francisco and New York. For these zones, you select Premium Coast grade rate. This grade rate will override the grade rate of the salary basis for people working in these cities.

Flow Page Enhancements

Benefit from the enhanced responsive pages for a more consistent and satisfying user experience.

Flow Pattern Connectors

Link payroll results using the new connected flows feature. You can now define flow connector rules for a flow pattern to control when payroll results are consolidated in downstream processes and reports. These connector rules are automatically applied to all flows for which connector rules have been defined at flow pattern level.

For example, your company runs regular on-cycle payrolls. In addition, you calculate daily off-cycle runs for time critical payments such as terminations. You have a business requirement to produce separate payroll reports and payments for your on-cycle and off-cycle payroll. This enables you to reconcile and validate the on-cycle payroll runs separately to the off-cycle payroll. However, at the end of each calendar month your company must consolidate all on-cycle and off-cycle payroll results and send the total costs to Financials.

The payroll connector feature enables you to isolate and consolidate results for downstream processing to meet this type of business requirements.
