Workforce Rewards-Pre 21D

Benefits

Oracle Benefits is a complete, configurable and flexible global solution that enables organizations to successfully evolve and adapt to the unique needs of their workforce. The solution enables setup of traditional 'one-size fits all' plans to highly complex plans that selectively target different workforce segments with different benefit packages. Self-service capabilities present the user with an out of the box intuitive guided enrollment process with contextual information and embedded analytics.

Consider Plan Waiting Periods in Imputed Income Calculations

Enjoy the greater flexibility to decide when you want the imputed rate for participants to reflect imputed income calculations. This especially applies when you have imputed plans whose coverage starts after a waiting period. Two new configuration options called Imputed Income Calculation Date and Imputed Calculation Date Formula enable you to determine the calculation date.

This enhancement will not interfere with any of your existing imputed plans. For plans where you want to see the imputed calculation work, you need to explicitly configure it first before you process the appropriate life event.

View and Print Details of Enrollment Summary with All Sections Visible

Enable participants to see their enrollment summary, in both the Confirmation page and the Summary page, along with all the details in the accompanying sections.

View Open Enrollment Benefits More Easily

See now if an open enrollment event window has started, you will see the Open Enrollment option by default on the field where you select benefits as of a specific event or date. If there's no open enrollment event in progress, you won't see that option in the list, thus making it easy for participants to understand what's currently available to select.

View and Print the Benefits Summary Report Based on Selected Date

See now that the benefits summary report now shows you enrollment details on the basis of the date you select on the My Benefits page to view your benefits. The report also has a date stamp that corresponds to the same date you select on the My Benefits page.

Workforce Rewards-Pre 21D

Benefits

Use the New Saving Plan Calculators

Use the new Saving Plan Calculators to explore the amounts you could contribute, or to perform ‘What if?’ types of calculations. For example, using the Health Savings Account HSA Calculator, your participants can estimate future values, earnings and tax savings for their health savings accounts.

The three calculators we deliver, out of the box, are:

  • The Health Savings Account HSA Calculator
  • The Dependent Care FSA Calculator
  • The Health Care FSA Calculator

The Health Care Flexible Spending Account FSA Calculator enables participants to estimate their potential tax savings, whereas the Dependent Care FSA Calculator enables them to see how much more they can save by enrolling in a flexible spending account.

Use the Enhanced Self-Service Benefits Pages

Use the enhanced Self-Service Benefits pages to perform your enrollments more easily. The first enhancement is to waive plans or options. Previously, when participants elected waive plans during enrollment, the participant appeared as 'You' in the ‘Covered’ section of the waive plan on the Confirmation page. Now, the 'Who's covered? You' section in the Enrollment flow has been removed where the participant has enrolled in a waive plan or options.

Secondly, if a participant elects a plan or option where there is no monetary value, we no longer annualize the rate and show it. Now, if the unit of measurement is anything other than money or null, the participant only sees the primary rate. The annual rate is hidden.

And lastly, if you want your participants to see the Confirmation page displaying all the plans that the employee is enrolled in an expanded state, you can do so. This is useful, for example, for your participants who want to see all the detail, and don’t want to click to expand each plan they are enrolled in.  Participants can of course collapse the plans, if they require.

Record Personal Info on the Renamed Before You Enroll Page

Record personal info using the new Personal Info region in Self-Service Benefits. Now, your participants can enter their own personal habit details, instead of the administrator having to do it for them. We’ve added this new region to the existing People to Cover page, which we’ve now renamed to "Before You Enroll". This new page title reflects that participants are entering the information ready to enroll into benefits.

You can use the information your participants enter, especially around tobacco usage, to drive the rates and plans, if your organization has different rates and plans for smokers. For example, a participant can enter or updates that they are a tobacco user outside of open enrollment. When the open enrollment process runs, it picks up that the employee is a tobacco user and the participant will see the rates for smokers, as they are identified as a smoker in the system.

You’ll see the new name change to Before You Enroll irrespective of whether you uptake the new Personal Info region in Self-Service Benefits or not.

Delete Next Change for Rates

Delete next change for rates functionality is useful if you made any rate changes by mistake, or if you used incorrect dates for changes, and so on.  Basically, you’ll be removing the next change made.

You can find this new feature on the Rates and Coverages page, on the Standard Rates and Variable Rate Profile tabs.

You can also delete the next change using the loaders too.

Compensation and Total Compensation Statement

Compensation

Oracle Compensation enables your organization to plan, allocate, and communicate compensation using the most complete solution in the market. Make better business decisions using embedded analytics and a total compensation view of workers, regardless of geographic location or pay package components.

Workforce Compensation

Secure Workforce Compensation Plan Setup

Prevent people from accessing or viewing plan setup by using a new configuration option and security privilege to limit who has access to plan setup data.

Configure Workforce Compensation Notifications at the Plan Level

Configure Workforce Compensation cycle notifications by enabling or disabling them at the plan level.

Configure Save and Close for Worksheet Tasks

Choose how managers save their worksheets.  The choices are Save and Close with a drop-down save, or side by side buttons.

Disable Outside Defined Limits Alert

Disable the Outside Defined Limits alert from triggering when the amount in the Compensation Amount column is outside of the values of the Compensation Minimum and Compensation Maximum columns.

Use Individual Worker Display to View and Update Standard Components

Use Individual Worker Display to view and update standard components in Workforce Compensation.

Link User-Defined Columns to Plan Components

Enhance the worksheet experience for managers by linking user-defined columns to plan components.  When you link a column to a component and a person is ineligible for that component you can't edit the column.

Configure Predefined Alerts and Prevent from Displaying in the Alerts Filter

Configure the predefined alerts and prevent them from displaying in the alerts filter in the workforce compensation worksheet.

Enable Additional Columns in the Communicate Task

Enable additional columns, such as compensation amount, plan, and component eligibility, to let managers know about which people were eligible for and received compensation during the compensation cycle.

View Additional Attributes for Currency Conversion in Active Plans

Use new attributes in the Currency Conversion Rates section of Active Plans to better understand how currencies are converted to the plan or corporate currency.

Individual Compensation

Copy Individual Compensation Awards during Local and Global Transfer

Copy current and future individual compensation awards from the source legal employer to the destination legal employer during Local and Global Transfer. For this copy to happen, the legislative data group of the element linked to the individual compensation plan option has to be same for both legal employers.

Individual Compensation Plan Synchronized with Projected Start Date Introduction

Synchronize the individual compensation plan start and end dates with the projected start date defined in the offer. The dates are synchronously maintained to recompute the plan start and end dates whenever the projected start date changes. For example, you define the projected start date as January 1, 2022 and the plan will start on the same date. Later you revise the projected start date to February 1, 2022, and when you get to the individual compensation section, the existing plan date is then adjusted to February 1, 2022 to align with the new projected start date.

Alternatively, you can define a duration so that the plan start and end dates are calculated not as the same projected start date, but while considering an interval or duration. For example, you can define the sign-on bonus to start 1 month after the offer projected start date. When the recruiter proposes a projected start date of March 1, 2022, the plan start date is computed as April 1, 2022.

You can also determine whether the recruiter can change the calculated date while awarding the plan. When the recruiter changes the calculated date, the synchronization can no longer happen automatically and they will have to manually intervene for every change in the projected start date.

When the individual compensation row is end dated in the offer, the end date is carried forward to the pending worker stage, but not beyond the Convert Pending Worker action.

Salary

Preserve Salary Data for Changes in When Date

Preserve salary detail in transactions, such as Change Salary and Promote, if you change the when date before submitting the transaction or during approval.

Audit of Standard Components Introduction

Audit salary changes when the salary basis determines the salary amount using standard components.

Performance Improvements on Salary Range Differential Profile Pages

Search for and make changes to differential details of a salary range differential profile. When you have many differentials defined in the salary range differential profile, searching and making changes to a particular differential wasn't easy. Now, you can use query by example to easily find details and quickly make changes to the results that match your search criteria. For example, you can search for a location, business unit, compensation zone, factor, or grade rate and make changes to all of the results.

Offered Salary Not Defaulted to 0

Leave the salary amount blank instead of defaulting it to 0 when the recruiter selects a salary basis while drafting an offer.

Autocomplete

Autocomplete Rules for Salary Business Object in Compensation

Enhance people's experience when authoring new rules for the salary business objects with these new features added to the Salary business object:

  • Improve productivity and save time by using the delivered rules to set default values and add validation in salary flows. Here's some examples:
    • You can set a default salary basis depending on the Job FLSA code.
    • You can validate the salary basis frequency depending on whether the assignment is full time or part time. You can also validate if the next salary review date is within 1 year of the salary start date and that the salary amount isn't 0. And, you can validate that the salary amount proposed during a promotion isn't less than the current salary.
  • Access current and historic salary details while defining autocomplete rules using the new view accessors Get Existing Salary and Get Existing Salary History.

Compensation History

Assignment Switching Introduction in Compensation History

View the related compensation history for their assignments by switching the business title. For example, Chris is a manager for their primary assignment and an individual contributor for their second assignment. Select Chris's individual contributor business title to see the corresponding compensation history.

Grade Step Progression

Grade Step Progression: New Choices for Progression Increment and Option to Use Ceiling Step

Simplify your progression logic by using new options in your grade ladder definitions. The progression increment attribute now includes additional choices which limit the number of grades and steps that are evaluated for progression. For example, you can configure the grade ladder so that only the next step is evaluated. Or you can configure the grade ladder so that the process stops at the ceiling step.

New Validation of Grade Details in Grade Step Progression

Improve accuracy by identifying data discrepancies impacting grade step progression. We added three new validations related to current and proposed grades, to the batch processes.

Revised Grade Step Progression Child Process Names

Identify the child processes that are launched when you submit Run Grade Step Progression and Synchronize Grade Step Rates batch processes more easily. The child processes are now named Grade Step Child Process and Accept Updates.

The reference will now be used to maintain balances and arrears which are specific to the element entry.
