This guide outlines the information you need to know about new or improved functionality in this update, and describes any tasks you might need to perform for the update. Each section includes a brief description of the feature, the steps you need to take to enable or begin using the feature, any tips or considerations that you should keep in mind, and the resources available to help you.

Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

Flexible Configuration of the Accounting Flow in Accounting Hub Cloud

You can now choose to run various portions of the accounting flow separately, or run the entire process from end-to-end.

Here are some examples of what you can do:

Load and import transaction data in a single run with Import from Interface set to Yes and Create Accounting, Transfer to General Ledger and Update Supporting Reference Balances submitted at the same time.

Alternatively, load data in multiple runs and still have them validated as a group when you import transactions from the interface later on. For example, you can split a large batch of data into multiple zip files and import them individually with same import set name.  Set Import from Interface set to No.  Later, submit the Import Accounting Transaction from Interface process for that import set to process them together.

In addition, you may prefer to run a single Update Supporting Reference Balances process per ledger and subledger application rather than have separate processes automatically run for each accounting transaction import.

The enhanced flow provides additional parameters for the Import Accounting Transactions process:

You can choose to load transactions to the interface tables without triggering the import in the same run.  Later, you can use the Import Accounting Transactions from Interface process to import them:

Even if you do not enable the feature, you can choose to Create Accounting in draft mode if required:

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Fusion Accounting Hub

Enable the feature from the Functional Setup Manager Feature Opt In page. The steps are:

  1. Go to the Setup and Maintenance work area.
  2. Select Fusion Accounting Hub in the drop-down list at the top of the page.
  3. Click Change Feature Opt In.
  4. On the Opt In: Fusion Accounting Hub page, click the Features icon for Fusion Accounting Hub.
  5. On the Edit Features: Fusion Accounting Hub page, select the Enable icon for Flexible Configuration of Accounting Hub Cloud Service End to End Flow feature.

Tips And Considerations

After you enable this feature, you must download a new transaction template and map the sources to the corresponding columns in the new template.

Note that source mapping may be different for the same application across environments
