Overview

Oracle Customer Experience Cloud for Consumer Goods provides a comprehensive solution for managing retail execution and trade promotion processes. The retail execution management solution enables sales administrators and managers to set up and manage the product catalog, assortments, price books, routes, store visit appointments, store visit tasks, and other data required for retail execution processes. The consumer goods mobile application enables sales representatives to complete merchandising and direct store delivery tasks in the offline mode. With the trade promotion management solution, marketing and account managers can set up trade budgets and funds, create trade promotions, measure promotion performance, and settle claims and deductions.

This document outlines the information you need to know about new or improved functionality in this update, and describes any tasks you might need to perform for the update. Each section includes a brief description of the feature, the steps you need to take to enable or begin using the feature, any tips or considerations that you should keep in mind, and the resources available to help you.

Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.


Customer Action Required = You MUST take action before these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

As a sales administrator, you can configure the data set that you'd download to the offline mobile application.

Steps to Enable

Perform the following configuration tasks:

SECURITY

  1. In Application Composer, navigate to Common Role Security.
  2. Set up role securities for the following objects:
  • Object Attribute
  • Object Config
  • Filter Criteria Group
  • Filter Criteria
  • Sync Rule
  • Sync Field

LAYOUT

  1. In Application Composer, navigate to Sales > Custom Objects
  2. Navigate to Object Attribute, Object Configuration, Filter Criteria Group and Sync Rule objects.
  3. Duplicate and activate all default layouts.

PROFILE OPTION

In Setup and Maintenance, create the following profile options with Y and N values based on your business requirements.

  • ORA_ACO_SUPPORT_SYNC_RULE

Role Information

  • Sales Administrator

Mobile Contract Printing Template

You can now create mobile contract printing templates in PDF Form. As a sales representative, when you print a contract in the mobile application, a PDF is generated in the format of the associated printing template.

Steps to Enable

Perform the following configuration tasks:

SECURITY

  1. In Application Composer, navigate to Common Role Security.
  2. Set up role securities for the following objects:
  • Print Template
  • Template File

LAYOUT

  1. In Application Composer, navigate to Sales > Custom Objects
  2. Navigate to Contract Template, Contract, Print Template and Template File.
  3. Duplicate and activate all default layouts.

Contract Enhancements

Here are the contract enhancements that you can make use of:

  • Benefit compliance override: As a sales representative, you can override the automated benefit compliance result. The application recalculates the benefit accrual accordingly.
  • Compliance photos for manual conditions: As a sales representative, you can take compliance photos for each manual condition in the mobile application.
  • Default condition compliance value: For each benefit, you can indicate the default compliance value for the required conditions. The default compliance value is used for the current compliance period, if the compliance result for the current compliance period is not available.
  • Manage Contract tasks: You can manage related tasks for both the contract template and contract level.
  • Publish Contract Templates: You can publish contract templates to all accounts in the associated clusters. You can create a draft contract record for each account in the associated clusters.
  • Loyalty point benefits: You can include the benefits of direct compensation in the form of loyalty points. 
  • Benefit payment preference and settlement payment information: You can indicate payment preference for each benefit which is carried over to the settlements. The settlement now includes the actual payment information.

Steps to Enable

Perform the following configuration tasks:

LAYOUT

  1. In Application Composer, navigate to Sales > Custom Objects.
  2. Navigate to Contract Template, Contract, Benefit, Condition, and Resolution.
  3. Duplicate and activate all default layouts.
  4. Navigate to Sales > Standard Objects > Account.
  5. Edit all Detail layouts to add Primary Contracts and All Contracts subtabs. Add Create button on the Primary Contracts subtab.

Manage Contracts

As a sales representative, you can now create and manage contracts from both web and mobile applications. You can define benefits, conditions and terms in your contract. You can set up automated compliance and payment settlement schedules.

To create a contract, you can:

  • Include manual or automated conditions for each benefit.
  • Define legal terms.
  • Estimate the cost for each benefit and the entire contract.
  • Include a list of retail execution tasks to ensure its success.

You can create contracts quickly from contract templates.

Steps to Enable

Perform the following configuration tasks to manage contracts on the browser and on your mobile:

LAYOUT

In Application Composer,

  1. Navigate to Sales > Custom ObjectsNavigate to Contract Template and Contract related objects.
  2. Duplicate and activate all default layouts.
  3. Navigate to Sales > Standard Objects > MDF Request.
  4. Duplicate and activate ORACO Benefit Fund Layout for Create and Detail pages.
  5. Navigate to Sales > Standard Objects > MDF Claim.
  6. Add the following advanced expression to ORACO Duplicate Layout for the Detail page: if (__ORACO__ClaimRequest_Id_c!=null || __ORACO__DeductionRequest_Id_c!=null || FundRequest?.__ORACO__Benefit_Id_c != null) {return true;}
  7. Navigate to Sales > Standard Objects > Account.
  8. Add the contract subtab.

PROFILE OPTION 

In Setup and Maintenance, create the following profile options with Y and N values based on your business requirements.

  • __ORACO__CONTRACT_SETTLEMENT_OVERSPEND
  • __ORACO__USE_OOTB_CONTRACT_FORECAST
  • __ORACO__CONTRACT_SUPER_USER_ROLE

BASE DATA 

Go to My Oracle Support and search for Collaterals for Oracle Sales Cloud for Consumer Goods (Doc ID 2133874.1). Download the Consumer Goods Seeded Tasks and Types zip file. Follow the instructions in the readme.txt to import the CSV files.

MOBILE APPLICATION COMPOSER 

To display the Contract subtab under Account, duplicate the Account Layout in the Mobile Application Composer.

  1. Create and activate a sandbox.
  2. Navigate to Mobile Application Setup and select Oracle Sales Cloud Retail Execution > Account.
  3. Duplicate the Standard Details page layout and Save.
  4. Make the contract feature available in mobile by viewing the sandbox in the mobile application or by publishing the sandbox.
  5. Navigate to the Account associated to Store Visit, to see a Contract subtab added to Account.

Mobile Scripting

You can add custom logic for selected events and objects in your offline mobile and tablet application. Here are the supported types of validations and rules:

  • Calculated fields – Indicate the field values for calculated fields
  • Field validations – Validate that field values are allowed on data entry
  • Action validations – Validate that an action may be taken or prevent an action from being taken under certain conditions
  • Mandatory fields – Conditionally make fields mandatory
  • Read-only fields – Conditionally make fields read-only
  • Custom business logic

Steps to Enable

PROFILE OPTION 

Locate the available profile option and set it's site level value to YES. Enter the following values for the profile option: 

  • Profile option: ZMS_ENABLE_CLIENT_SCRIPTING
  • Profile display name: Enable Mobile Scripting
  • Module: Mobile Sales
  • Child Profile Value: Site level: YES

MOBILE APP COMPOSER 

  1. Select Navigator > Application Composer > Mobile Application Setup.
  2. In the Application Feature pane, select Settings.
  3. Click Scripts Settings and turn on the Enable Scripts option.
  4. Click Save in the top right-hand side of the Application Composer page.
