Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Disabled)

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

Check User Defined Query Performance

Check User Defined Query Performance

Check the performance of any user defined query during plan configuration instead of during the actual calculation process with a full volume of data, to identify upfront if the query needs to be tuned.

While submitting the calculation process, if you want the performance of the user-defined queries to be monitored, check the Monitor UDQ performance checkbox.

Once the calculation process finishes, click on the View UDQ Performance icon. Note that this icon is enabled for only those calculation processes that have had the Monitor UDQ performance checkbox checked during submission.

Clicking on the View UDQ Performance icon enables you to see the execution details of each of the user-defined queries run in that specific calculation process. Choose the user-defined query, enter the Records to be Calculated and click Estimate UDQ Performance button to estimate how long it will take for that volume of data. If the estimated time does not meet your expectations, tune or modify the query to avoid performance problems later during full loads in an production environment.

Identify performance problems upfront in user defined queries.
