Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Disabled)

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

IMPORTANT Actions and Considerations for Time and Labor

Time and Labor

Oracle Time and Labor is a comprehensive, easy to use, rule-based time recording and management application. The calendar-based time entry interface and fully configurable time card layout easily address simple and complex time recording needs. Rule templates and the real-time rules engine provide an extensible and robust method to validate time entries and automatically apply pay rules, such as overtime calculations. Time and Labor now integrates completely with the following Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management applications: Global Human Resources, Absence Management, Global Payroll, and Project Costing. This integration insures accurate and consistent data for payroll processing and costing as well as project management billing.

Time Change Requests Enhancements

Now when you run the Resubmit Time Cards process and it splits time cards, the process checks to see if there are any related change requests. If it finds any, it automatically withdraws them and notifies the change request approver and individual the time card's for of the status change. It then alerts the individual that they need to submit another change request.

The individual's line manager, typically the change request approver, can see the withdrawn change request on their Team Change Requests page. The change request status shows as Canceled.

The Resubmit Time Cards Process uses these Alerts Composer objects to send individuals the withdrawal notification and resubmit change request alert:

  • HWM Time Change Request Withdrawn After Resubmission event alert

  • Notify Workers of Withdrawn Change Request template

This enhancement improves productivity by automating the withdrawal of change requests affected by time card splits and sending of related notifications.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Key Resources

For more information about the Resubmit Time Card process, see Resubmit Time Cards Process in the Schedule Processes about Time Cards chapter of the Using Time and Labor guide on the Help Center.

HCM Group Enhancements

Previously HCM group evaluation only considered assignment's that had HR Status set to Active. With this enhancement, you can define an HCM group to consider Active or Suspended assignments. This way the group continues to include members who would otherwise be excluded.

My Client Group > Work Structures > Assignment Statuses > Add Assignment Status page with HR Status Choice List Showing

By default, existing HCM groups and new groups that you create have the Include assignments with an HR status of active or suspended option unselected. You can change it as appropriate.

Edit Group page with Option selected

This enhancement gives you more control over people to include in an HCM group.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Key Resources

For more information about refreshing and evaluating group membership, see How You Refresh and Evaluate HCM Group Membership in the HCM Groups chapter of the Implementing Time and Labor guide located in the Help Center.

REPLACED OR REMOVED FEATURES

From time to time, Oracle replaces existing Cloud service features with new features or removes existing features. When a feature is replaced the older version may be removed immediately or at a future time. As a best practice, you should use the newer version of a replaced feature as soon as the newer version is available.
