API

REST API Enhancements

The asynchronous polling REST API is enhanced to accept multiple requests IDs (up to 200) and return back statuses for all request IDs.

The REST API to create a profile extension table (PET) is enhanced to allow specifying the expiration period after which the PET is deleted.

You can now access the following new REST APIs:

  1. REST API to publish a valid program.
  2. REST API to unpublish a program.

Audience Designer

Automatic Enablement for New Accounts

Audience Designer is now automatically enabled for all newly created Responsys accounts.

Increased Default Maximum Settings

The default maximum settings in Audience Designer have been increased to the following:

  • 8 conditions per profile filter
  • 5 conditions per non-profile filter
  • 10 filters per audience
  • 50 published audiences

Campaigns

Multilingual Collaboration

A new Express Email Campaign Translator role is now available. Users with this role can view the Task Manager and Express app for contributing to translations in campaigns. Dynamic variables can be used to set language preferences and notifications are sent to the translator.

IMPORTANT: This feature is currently released under our Controlled Availability program. To request access to these features, please log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request. The new Campaign Designer is also required to use this feature.

Data

View Data Redaction Policy

Account administrators can now view the current data redaction policies for their instance, change the redaction type (full or partial), and add data redaction policies. Account administrators cannot remove data redaction policies. In order to remove a data redaction policy, please log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request.

General Enhancements

New Schemas for Banking and Telecom

Two new industry vertical schemas for banking and telecom are now available for newly provisioned Responsys accounts.

Mobile

Enabling Migration from an Existing Push Provider to Responsys Push

Migration from an existing Push Provider to Responsys Push is now supported. It's now possible to import Device Data for apps from an existing Push Provider into an App Channel List in Responsys. This is enabled through a new Connect Job Type: Import App Channel List Data. This Connect Job enables new Mobile App Channel customers to get started with launching Push Campaign from Responsys faster.

IMPORTANT:

  • In order to take advantage of this feature, the new Connect UI feature must be enabled.
  • This feature is currently released under our Controlled Availability program. To request access to these features, please log in to My Oracle Suppport and create a service request.

Personalization Support for Push Notification Titles

We now enable Mobile app marketers to use extensive Personalization (RPL) in the Push Title field of Push Notification Campaigns. Previously, the maximum length of the Push Title field was 200 characters but now this limit has been relaxed to 2048 characters.

Profanity Check in Short URL

When using the URL shortener service, Responsys now checks for the presence of profane words in short URLs against a predefined list. If there is a profane word, the short-name is regenerated.

By default, in any account using short URL service, the short-name part that is generated by Responsys is checked for profanity.

If you would like to include the host-name to be part of the profanity check, log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request. If this is enabled, the profanity check will consider the host-name and short-name combination.

Support for Android App Links

Responsys now supports Android app links. This enables email marketers to deep link Android end users in a standard, seamless, and secure manner into their Android apps. Similar to the existing support for Oracle Responsys iOS Universal Links, this feature enables the following:

  • Responsys customers can link from a Responsys email campaign directly into their Android mobile app (if installed), using Android app links
  • Achieve email-to-app deep linking on Android devices, while preserving click tracking and selective app deep linking (you choose which links in the email will open the app)

Using Multiple Push SDKs in the same App

You can now integrate and use the Responsys Push SDK in your app even if your app already uses multiple other Push SDKs.

Program

Email Notifications for Multivariate Testing

A notification email is sent when a winner is chosen during multivariate testing (MVT).

User Interface

Campaign Designer with Simplified User Experience

A new, simplified, Campaign Designer is now available. It is automatically enabled for for new customers.

If you are an existing customer, the feature must be enabled for your existing account by creating a service request. Campaign creation and edit workflows will lead you to the new Campaign Designer.

IMPORTANT: This feature is currently released under our Controlled Availability program. To request access to these features, please log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request.

Expanded Support of New Header Format for Page Titles

The new breadcrumb page title format is now visible in message designers for the email, SMS, push notification, in-app, and Message Center channels.

Filter Designer User Interface

A new Filter Designer interface is now available. It was updated to make it consistent with other Responsys components. The new interface only supports modular filters compatible with Audience Designer. The new Filter Designer supports filters based on app channel list attributes and behaviors.

IMPORTANT:

  • Legacy classic filters are not supported. The classic filter edit experience continues to use classic Filter Designer user interface.
  • This feature is currently released under our Controlled Availability program. To request access to these features, please log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request.

New Customer Administration Navigation Menu

The new customer administration navigation menu (accessed via the Account option in the main navigation menu) is now generally available. Additionally, the Secondary AFTM account settings page (Account > Secondary AFTM account settings) has been updated with a new look and feel.
