Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service is a comprehensive solution for delivering, tracking, managing, and reporting on all types of formal and informal learning. Users have easy access to learning through a single platform for online, classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training, as well as assessments, blended learning, social learning and self-reported training. Organizations can design a truly tailored user experience with complete control over all aspects of the user interface.
A new Team Monitor widget offers Supervisors visibility of their subordinates' Learning Plan and Transcript activities and progress. The Team Monitor widget leverages existing Learning Plan and Transcript widgets and rolls up metrics from these existing widgets to create Team Monitor views. A dashboard provides counts of team members for selected status based metrics. Supervisors have visibility of each team member's dashboard metrics, and my use the metrics to drill down to the subordinate's Learning Plan or Transcript widget. Features of the Team Monitor widget include:
- Multiple views of subordinates learning activity and progress, based on existing Learning Plan and Transcript widgets. Each Team Monitor widget may have up to 6 widget based views.
- Dashboard metrics based on subordinates Learning Plan status.
- Each dashboard metric serves as a quick filter to list the subordinates making up the metric.
- Dashboard metrics based on Transcript widget displays the count of team members.
- View a Transcript for any team member.
- An email option provides a convenient way to message subordinates with questions or action requests regarding Learning Plans or Transcripts.
- Indirect subordinate visibility is available to upper level managers and supervisors by drilling down through the management hierarchy.
- Supervisors with multiple management levels can view each of their supervisor's team monitor page to view indirect team metrics and drill down to the indirect team members' Learning Plans and Transcripts.
- Both list and card formats are available
- The Team Monitor widget definition includes an Embed tab for inserting Team Monitor on a non-LearnCenter page.
Existing Widgets have been updated based on client feedback and requests. Enhancements include:
- An option to include the Pending Approval count in the Learning Plan Widget dashboard for self-mapped learning plans awaiting approval.
- An option to open a Widget with the dashboard only displayed.
- Selecting a dashboard metric expands the page to display appropriate results.
- Select again to collapse.
- Score has been added to the Course details page dashboard if the course includes a test/assessment.
- New filters and metrics on the Transcript Widget dashboard:
- Transcript Items with Credits
- Credits earned
- A widget setup option to select a set of categories to include for the widget. When used, only training events within the manual list of categories are included.
- Improved display for long names and descriptions in Widgets:
- Name and Description now span with width of the page, with up to two lines of description shown.
- Truncation of Names and Descriptions is now minimized.
The 16C release is shifting BI Reporting tools to a new level. With the Full Data Extraction feature customers are getting a true data export functionality they can access and use in an already familiar user interface.
With the BI Reporting Data Extraction you will be able to:
- Export all available data for a supported query (no more 65000 record limit)
- Export data to an XML, JSON or CSV format
- Receive data in a compressed file
- Schedule or run on demand data exports
- Sample data before running full data set export
Benefits:
- Retrieve full data set for further processing in 3rd party systems or for backup
- Lower or remove the need to convert output files to other formats (industry standard data transfer formats available out of the box)
- Easily download and transfer significantly lower size files
- Automate data export process
- Ensure you are getting the right data in the right format prior to running a full export
With the 16C release, Dynamic Groups have been enhanced based on client requests, as well as to reduce the need for a custom integration to manage complex user group mappings. Using pre-defined criteria, Dynamic Groups enable you to automate the process of assigning Users to Groups as well as assigning Users Learning Plans, Skills, and/or Job Profiles.
Dynamic Group enhancements include:
- Ability to see the last time updates to the group were completed
- Create groups using a variety of new criteria options:
- Time Limit Days Before or After on new standard User record date fields
- Date Range on new standard User record date fields
- Based on a Supervisor Role
- Based on the completion status of a Learning Plan, Skill, and/or Job Profile
- Decide if Users should Retain Mapping to training if they are removed from the group
- Set when the Group will become active/inactive by defining start and end dates for the group
LearnCenter Course Marketplace Powered by OpenSesame
OpenSesame and Taleo Learn have had a partnership for a number of years; with 16C we have productized that relationship to enable clients to easily import OpenSesame purchases into their LearnCenters. The integration will handle importing the purchased content while the Admin decides when to make the content available in the Showroom. Features include:
- Control access to the marketplace to those that are authorized to make purchases
- Synchronized importing of purchased content into Taleo Learn
- View the history of courses imported
- Option to insert into Showroom during import
