Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud is a comprehensive solution for delivering, tracking, managing, and reporting on all types of formal and informal learning. Users have easy access to learning through a single platform for online, classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training, as well as assessments, blended learning, social learning and self-reported training. Organizations can design a truly tailored user experience with complete control over all aspects of the user interface.
The Catalog Widget has been updated with refinements for improved usability, especially when viewing the results page on smaller platforms. Updates include:
- A filter icon on small platforms for retrieving the filtering facets.
- The filter icon appears when the display platform is too small to include the facets. Selecting the filter icon overlays the facets on top of the results page
- An option to turn off the Catalog Name link for the Catalog name. This is primarily targeted at large, multi-level catalogs where the results page may return an excessive list of learning events.
Search Widget Results Page Enhancements
The Search Widget results page, accessible from both the Search and Catalog Widgets, offers new options for assigning Learning Plans and Enrollments to direct and indirect reports. A revised page layout improves readability.
- Supervisors have the option to assign Enrollments and Learning Plans to their team members. A new icon for assigning events appears for supervisors only. When selected, a new Assignment window opens for entering team member names.
- Search Widget setup options enable the assignment functions for Learning Plans and Enrollments. An option for including indirect reports is also available.
- Existing notifications are used to inform the team member of their new assignments.
- The search results page layout has been revised, with wider label/value columns minimizing word wrap within label/value pairs.
With 17C the Learn REST API now supports creating and managing custom User and Supervisor roles and their associated permissions. Currently the APIs support the default roles and this enhancement extends support to custom roles.
- Oracle Consulting Services and Oracle Implementation Partners can develop integrations requiring custom User & Supervisor roles.
- Manage custom role permissions via the Learn REST API
New Bulk Loaders will reduce the administrator’s time in creating and managing Answers and Questions used for creating Assessments. The Answer Bulk Loader allows for the creating of new Answers and updating existing Answers. The Question Bulk Loader allows for the creating of new Questions and updating the existing Questions as well as for the mapping of Answers to Questions. In addition there will be two new BI Report data views added for Questions and Answers which will the IDs of these objects. The Bulk Loaders use the IDs to identify Answers and Questions when duplicate name exist in the LearnCenter.
- Easily create and update Answer banks and Question pools using the Bulk Loader.
- Create any type of Question and attach resources as required.
- BI Reporting data views for Answers and Questions that include IDs of the objects.
