Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud is a comprehensive solution for delivering, tracking, managing, and reporting on all types of formal and informal learning. Users have easy access to learning through a single platform for online, classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training, as well as assessments, blended learning, social learning and self-reported training. Organizations can design a truly tailored user experience with complete control over all aspects of the user interface.
Widget enhancements in 18B are highlighted by client ideas to filter the results in the Catalog and Search Widgets for the user. The Search and Catalog Widgets have been updated to allow admins to restrict search results – only allowing users to see content in categories their User record are mapped to. An additional widget enhancement enables Admins to configure a message that is displayed to Users if they have applied for training that requires supervisor approval but they are not mapped to a Supervisor Account.
- Search and Catalog results can be restricted to only show content in Categories the user is also mapped to.
- Users without Supervisors may receive a message that they need to take action to follow up on the approval status of their training.
The Learn REST APIs are one part of the overall integration strategy for Taleo Learn and currently support managing User information in or out of a LearnCenter. With the 18B release the APIs include additional endpoints for Dynamic Groups. These enhancements support creating and managing Dynamic Group details and the assigning or removing of Users from Dynamic Groups. This provides the benefit of allowing complex business rules, not supported by standard features, to be supported and managed through integration.

New Supervisor Bulk Loaders will reduce administration time to create and manage Supervisor Accounts as well as enable bulk updating of employee-to-supervisor relationships. The Supervisors Bulk Loader will create Supervisor Accounts for existing users, as required, and assign them to one or more Supervisor Roles. Since Bulk Loaders can be scheduled, managing supervisors and their hierarchies can be easily be automated. Easily create and update Answer banks and Question pools using the Bulk Loader.
