Functional Enhancements

Break Tasks by Weight and Volume During Waving

In addition to a Break by Quantity, you can now specify a Break by Weight and Break by Volume that will be used when creating tasks.  This helps avoid creating tasks that overload a picker or the picking equipment.  This helps the labor productivity of operators in warehouses that handle a variety of products that differ greatly in size or weight.

Support Secondary Ordering Criteria in Waving

The ability to select a secondary ordering criteria during waving allows you to more exactly implement your company’s inventory management strategies.  A few examples of when this might be useful include:

  • If you primarily drive allocation based on FEFO/LEFO or FIFO/LIFO, you can now select a secondary ordering criteria of Qty Ascending to consume LPNs faster or Qty Descending to pull bigger boxes if your facilities requires for space utilization.
  • If you have Gravity Feed or Push Back Racks, you now have additional secondary ordering criteria available such as FIFO/LIFO.  can in addition to using Location Sequence as your primary criteria use FEFO/LEFO or FIFO/LIFO as a secondary criteria.

Capture Pallet Weight and Dimensions

You can now update the LPN Type, weight, and dimensions from the “Update LPN” or “Palletize” Mobile RF UI, in addition to the WMS Cloud UI and APIs.

Opportunistic Cycle Counting During Picking

In order to improve both inventory accuracy and labor productivity, opportunistic cycle counting allows pickers to confirm stock location levels to more efficiently cycle count specific locations.  After the system anticipates a picker has picked a stock location to empty, the picker has the opportunity to confirm whether the stock location is empty.  If the picker confirms the location is not empty, then a cycle count task is generated.  You can also configure a Threshold Based Summary Count for stock locations that have a small quantity of inventory remaining after a pick.

After the system anticipates that a stock location is below the threshold quantity, the picker can confirm the quantity remaining in the stock location in the Summary Count form.  If the quantity remaining in the stock location differs from the system quantity, then a cycle count is generated.

Confirm LPN Content After IBLPN Scan During Cartonized Receiving

Receive Shipment and Receive Load for cartonized receiving now requires the Item and Quantity to be confirmed before scanning Inventory Attribute, Lot, Expiry, or Serial Number detail.  Only if the receipt passes the Item and Quantity validation will the user be prompted to enter the detailed inventory information to complete the receipt.

User Experience and Usability Enhancements

Enhancements in Single Item Receiving

RF Single SKU Receiving now allows you to specify a maximum number of LPNs you want to receive at one go based on your operational needs. Enhancements include both allowing more than 24 containers to be received at one as well as some performance optimizations.

Integration Enhancements

Get Parcel Carrier Information Using a REST API

Now you can query parcel carrier information on the following entities: Carrier, Route Header, Route Detail, Ship Via Detail, Ship Via Account Detail, Standard Carrier Accessorial, Standard Carrier, and Standard Carrier Services.

Expand Output Interface Target Selection Criteria

From 21B onwards, Output Interface configuration has been expanded to support filtering for Order Outbound Load Export payload (PLS) and Outbound Manifest Payload. The structure of   PLS and Outbound Manifest Payload is similar to Outbound Load Export payload (SLS). Configuration of Output Interface Target Criteria has been enabled for Order Outbound Load export,  so that ou  can now configure Output Interface Target Criteria for Order Outbound Load export and also for Outbound Manifest. This will help  to send Outbound manifest Payload or Order Outbound Load export to different end points based on the contents of the file.

Suggest Pallet Number During Loading

While loading palletized outbound LPNs, now the next pallet to scan can be suggested during loading.

Pick LPNs Using a REST API

The new Pack Full LPN REST API allows you to pack the Full LPN allocations and also has the capability to perform substitution & shorting during full LPN picking. The REST API supports substitution for Full LPN and shorting during Full LPN picking.

Accept Serial Numbers During Pick Confirmation Using a REST API

Previously, the Pick Confirmation REST API did not support sending serial numbers for serial tracked items. Now users who are picking serial tracked inventory using the Pick Confirmation API have an ability to send serial numbers in the Pick Confirmation API.

Extend Serial Number Support for Modify LPN Using a REST API

Now the Modify LPN REST API supports adjusting both the quantity and serial numbers for serialized items packed into LPNs.

Process Dynamic Bill of Materials in Work Order Interface

Now, when Work Orders are interfaced to Oracle WMS Cloud, the external system can send any child items and quantities for the given Kit item during work order creation regardless of item pre-pack definition (Bill of Material.)

New Receiving REST API

This new Receiving REST API supports cartonized and non-cartonized shipments.

Update Location for Cycle Count Threshold Fields Using a REST API

In support of the opportunistic cycle counting feature, users can use the Location API to define the cycle count threshold Unit of Measure (UOM) and threshold quantity for a stock location

Gen 2 Web Reports now supports designing reports on user access changes.
