Warehouse Management

WMS Common

Display Reason Code List of Values in Additional RF and UI Screens

In addition to the option to Enable/Disable Reason Codes, WMS will now display reason code list of values in multiple RF and UI screens. This aids you from entering inactive or invalid reason code while performing the transactions where reason code is prompted, thus ensuring the accuracy of the transactions.

Enable/Disable Reason Codes

Reason codes are used as identifiers when performing certain transactions in WMS, such as when you modify the quantity of an LPN or when you perform a cycle count etc. In special cases, Reason codes may be defined in WMS and is meant to be used only for a specific period of time or only for a specific purpose. Hence, it is critical that you use only the valid & accurate reason code when performing these transactions. In this regard, WMS now gives you the capability to enable/disable reason codes from the Reason Code UI screen.

Allow Special Characters and Lowercase in Multiple UI Screens

With the addition of a new Company Parameter, WMS is now able to handle special characters and lowercase in multiple UI screens. This ensures data consistency with other/external applications where special characters and lowercase are supported and thereby ensures a fluid integration.

Additional Search Filters in Users UI

You now have the choice to sort and filter by additional fields like Default Group, Default Label Printer, Hire Date, Password expiration in (days), Password expiry after (days) etc. in the Users UI to give you more flexibility in search and data sorting capabilities. These additional search fields will aid in efficiently managing your WMS users.

Manage the Number of Labels to be Printed through UI

There may be times when users accidentally enter a large number of labels to print from the WMS UI, which results in an excessive number of requests being placed in your printer queue. In order to minimize such issues, WMS now manages the maximum number of labels that can be printed for Print Label and Blind Labels actions in Inbound LPN UI and for Print Shipping Label, Print OBLPN Label and Print OBLPN Contents actions in Outbound LPN UI.

OAuth 2.0 Support for Output Interfaces

WMS will now support the OAuth2.0 authentication protocol when transmitting data to external systems. In the Output Interface Configuration details, you will have the option to set the authentication type to OAuth2.0. The REST Web Service should be used as the interface protocol when configuring this. This is in addition to the existing OAuth2.0 support when receiving data from external applications.

Inbound Logistics

View Machine Learning-Driven Market Basket Analysis for Product Associations

In this release, we continue to build out AI/ML capabilities to offer new insights into your warehouse operations with a new template to start training the AI/ML Market Basket Analysis algorithm in preparation for new capabilities planned in upcoming product updates. WMS’s AI/ML Market Basket Analysis helps to view the association between Items which are ordered together frequently from your warehouse. This analysis may be helpful in the future for some companies to drive slotting recommendations during putaway. This is crucial in today’s fast paced world, as it leads to lesser travel time while picking items which are frequently bought together, thereby increasing pickers productivity, faster turnaround time for order fulfilment and helping to fulfil increased order volumes from the warehouse.

The AI/ML Market Basket Analysis can be periodically trained to understand the changing preferences in your demand patterns.

Display Last Printed Timestamp on Inbound LPN UI

A new column, IB LPN Label - Last Printed Timestamp will be shown by WMS in the Inbound LPN UIs. This enables you to check whether the IBLPN label has already been printed, helping to prevent unnecessary duplication and lower printing costs and thereby aiding in your go green initiative.

Inventory Operations

Additional Search Filters in Movement Request Header

One or more Movement Requests may be created during a Manufacturing Work Order operation to move or issue materials inside the manufacturing facility. You can now discover all the Movement Requests associated with a Work Order using the new search filter Mfg Work Order Nbr in the Movement Request Headers UI.

Deallocate/Short Quantity from Movement Request Detail

The Movement Request Detail UI now includes two new action buttons: Deallocate and Short. Deallocation can be done by selecting one or more movement request lines and performing the Deallocate action. In case you want to cancel along with deallocating the line, then you can perform the Short action. The action buttons can be enabled/disabled using group permissions.

Cancel Movement Requests through UI

There are can be various operational reasons for cancelling Movement Requests. In case of Movement requests connected to a Manufacturing Work Order, the Work Order may get cancelled for a variety of reasons, such as the cancellation of connected sales orders, shop floor damages, production interruptions, or machine failures. In this regard, WMS now allows you to cancel related Movement Requests or Movement Request Details from the UI. Additionally, when executing the cancellation, you can record the appropriate reason codes.

Improvements to Update Action Code for Movement Request Interface

The Movement Request Interface has been enhanced to make it easier to integrate with other Oracle Cloud applications and back-end ERP's. The same UPDATE action code is not only used to update an existing Movement Request in WMS, but can create a new Movement Request assuming the matching movement request does not exist. Using the UPDATE action code in both the Create and Update scenarios will help to simplify the integrations.

Capture and Display Images in Item Inventory by LPN UI

WMS will now support the capture and display of images in Item Inventory by LPN, in addition to the existing support for Inbound LPN UI and will be able to store these images in Oracle Content Management (OCM). In this UI, a new action button Upload Images has been added. This gives you the ability to add visual context to the LPNs in your warehouse, for example, in the event of LPN damage.

This feature in Item Inventory by LPN UI also gives you the flexibility to manage both Inbound LPN and Outbound LPN images from a single view.

Print Blind LPN Labels through RF

Blind LPN labels may be widely used during your inbound or other warehouse transactions, for example in scenarios where you are dealing with non-cartonized shipments or when the transacting an LPN that does not exist in the WMS system prior to the transaction. To simplify the process of generating blind labels, WMS now allows you to print Blind LPN labels directly from the RF. This speeds up the process and reduces your reliance on the web UI for label generation.

Outbound Logistics

Capture and Display Images in Outbound LPN Inquiry UI

WMS will now support the capture and display of images in Outbound LPN Inquiry UI, in addition to the existing support for Outbound LPN UI and will be able to store these images in Oracle Content Management (OCM). In this UI, a new action button Upload Images has been added. This gives you the ability to add visual context to the LPNs in your warehouse, for example, in the event of LPN damage.

This feature in Outbound LPN Inquiry UI also gives you the flexibility to manage both Inbound LPN and Outbound LPN images from a single view.

Enhancements to Full LPN Allocation to Support Multiple Batches/Inventory Attributes for Same SKU

Single Item LPNs having multiple lots and/or inventory attributes will now be considered for allocation along with Multi-Item LPNs when 'Include Multi SKU LPNs' is enabled. This helps in simplifying the operations, as you don’t have to split the LPN into the number of lots/inventory attributes present on the LPN.

Enhance Outbound Audit Functionality in Handling of Multiple Batches/Inventory Attributes for Same SKU

In order to assist you in eliminating downstream discrepancies we have added several enhancements to our Outbound Audit functionality. Through the use of screen parameters, you can now skip serial number scanning or Lot/Expiry/Inventory attributes prompt for items when there is no discrepancy in audit count. This allows you to accelerate your audit process and focus on audits with a count discrepancy.

If you find a discrepancy and want to prevent these from being shipped, you can apply a lock code to these Outbound LPNs that are being audited. The ability to record more inventory-level data capture on the Audit History Web UI has also been added to the Outbound Audit functionality.

Improvements to RF Distribute LPN

WMS distribution flow facilitates in allocating inventory to your stores. The improvement to distribution flow will help you to minimise key strokes or scans and will allocate a single OBLPN for a SKU per store/location and will auto pack this allocated quantity. This will also help you reduce unnecessary repacking of the OBLPN, increasing warehouse productivity. To enable this, a new parameter choice "consol-locn-sku" has been added to autopack-mode in RF Distribute LPN.

Auto-Send Shipping Documents to Dynamic Email

In today’s complex logistics relationships there are often multiple parties from carriers to customs to your customers involved in the fulfilment and delivery of orders. It is imperative that the relevant information is sent to all of them. With this enhancement, you will be able to automatically email shipping documents to multiple parties.

Reset External Planned Load Number for Partially Shipped Order Detail

You may use applications such as Oracle Fusion Cloud Transportation Management (OTM) or other external applications to plan and optimize your transportation activity. There may be instances where, due to container space constraints, a specific Order Detail is shipped in multiple loads. To handle these scenarios, a new action button Reset Externally Planned Load Nbr has been added to the Order Details screen to reset the Externally Planned Load Nbr value when the other load has already been shipped from WMS.

New RF Module for Post Packing Updates and Printing Options

Previously, users had to switch between RF screens to perform post-packing updates to outbound LPNs, print outbound LPN labels, print shipping labels, print shipping documents, etc. With the new RF module 'Post Packing OBLPN updates and handling,' you can perform these actions after packing an outbound LPN by invoking a single RF screen. This new RF screen streamlines your outbound operations and increases your operator's productivity.

Warehouse Workforce Management

GET Support for WMS ACTIVITY Using a REST API

WMS Activity view records every operation users perform while using WMS RF on the warehouse floor. This data is consolidated at regular intervals and is available for WFM reports. However, with the WMS Activity and WMS Activity Detail entities now exposed via REST API, you will have the added benefit of building additional labor management capabilities in external systems.
