Extend Support for Additional Screens in Configuration Export/Import Tool
In addition to the existing UI screens, the action button for export/import configurations is now available in additional screens including Vendor, Ship to Company, Company Report Type, Scheduled Job, Order Type, MHE System, MHE Lanes, MHE Message Configuration, and MHE Route Configuration. You can export all or specific records using the option export configuration and import them in the target environment in the same screen using import configuration.
Change Default Facility Through User UI
There could be users who have access to multiple facilties in WMS which are situated nearby or within the same premises, for example a supervisor. WMS now allows you to change your default facility through User UI screen, with the help of Change Default Facility action button.
Real Time Updates of File Count
The integration between Oracle Cloud WMS and Oracle Content Management (OCM) has been enhanced to ensure that WMS is always in sync with the number of files uploaded to OCM for any WMS entity. If you delete a file from the OCM embedded UI within WMS, real time updates are made to the Nbr Files counter held in WMS for such entities.
Integrate with Third Party Labeling Systems Using JSON Printing Output
A new printer type called 'JSON' is now available in the Printer UI. You may easily integrate this printer type with third-party labelling systems. Our label designer has been updated to produce JSON output that is optimized for these JSON printers. This means you can rapidly create and customize labels without having to maintain templates manually.
Display Allowed IP List in Printer Configuration Screen
Customers using WMS printer capabilities may need to filter WMS print traffic within their firewalls. The Printer UI now has a "Allowed IP List" action button. When you click this button, a dialogue window appears with a list of all the primary and Disaster Recovery (DR) IP addresses. These IPs are where WMS print traffic originates.
Extend Support for Additional Tables for Purge Handling
Implementing an automatic purge process for stage tables has a number of advantages for the organisation. It enhances system performance by removing older, historical information. This results in improved query performance and shorter processing times for other activities that rely on these tables and also enhance data integrity and reliability. This also helps to lower the likelihood of errors or inconsistencies in downstream processes and analysis. Output Interface tables and Audit History tables would be supported as part of automated purge handling.
Improvements to Search in UI Screens
WMS has added a 30 day default search index in the 'From Create Ts' field for the following screens: Inbound Shipments, Inbound Shipment details, Outbound Load, Inbound Load, Order Header, Wave Inquiry, CC Adjustment Header view, and Inventory History to ensure that users get faster response and better system performance when executing a search query. Users can, however, change the default value and search for transactions from a broader time range.
GET Oracle Content Management (OCM) Configuration Details Using a REST API
A new API “oce_config_details” is available now to Get OCE Configuration Details from WMS for the requested company, facility, and WMS entity.
Upload Files to Oracle Content Management Using a REST API
To upload files to Oracle Content Management (OCM) via the WMS server, a new API called "file_upload" is now available. When the Upload File button in the LPN Inquiry screen of the WMS Mobile APP is clicked and a file is selected, this API is triggered to upload the file to OCM via the WMS server.
AI/ML Predictive Slotting During Directed Putaway Using Market Basket Analysis
Have you perhaps considered co-locating frequently sold together items, such as bread and cheese or a keyboard and mouse, to reduce pick travel time and thus boost warehouse efficiency, whilst being powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning? WMS can now drive putaway for frequently purchased together items through predictive slotting, allowing them to be stored closer together. This is accomplished through AI/ML-powered Market Basket Analysis, which generates data sets based on previous order data and assists in analyzing the same, zeroing in on the items sold together, and facilitating in putaway to adjacent locations. Seasonal demand for items can be factored in by adjusting the data set.
To aid in the above process, a scheduled job Generate Market Basket Analysis Run for Putaway has also been enabled, as has the option to include Market Basket Analysis in the Putaway Priority.
Introduction of Hotkey to Change UOM in Receiving
Depending on how it was shipped from your supplier, it may be beneficial to receive your inbound item utilizing a specific UOM in the warehouse. WMS now gives you the ability to change the UOM while receiving through RF. A new hot key "CTRL-K: Switch UOM Display" is included in the following modules to allow you to select your desired UOM: RF-Receive by Single SKU, RF-Receive by Shipment, and RF-Receive by Load. In both SKU-Scan and Qty Entry modes, the possibility to change UOM will be available. This enables you to perform seamless receiving in other UOMs within the same UOM class.
Update Quality Control (QC) Pending Flag in Inbound Shipment Interface and Using a REST API
To streamline the quality check process and avoid inefficiencies, we have enhanced the shipment interfaces to include the ability to mark LPNs (License Plate Numbers) for quality control (QC) directly through the interface and also via REST API. This helps to ensure efficient and precise quality control of items acquired from suppliers/vendors.
Extend Receive API to Support Serial, Lots, and Expiry Date
While performing non-cartonized receiving, for better tracking and management of your inventory in the facility detailed attributes like batch number, expiry date, and serial numbers are required to be tracked. The enhanced Receive API validates and tracks serial, batch or expiry date when the values are passed in the API request.
Introduction of Hotkey to Change UOM for Cycle Counting
The RF - Cycle Counting Location now has the ability to change the UOM. When dealing with Packs and Cases, you may now Cycle Count (CC) by Packs/Cases UOM and any UOM of the same class as the Primary UOM of SKU. To swap and choose your desired UOM, a new hot key "CTRL-K: Switch UOM Display" has been added.
Capture Comments During Cycle Count Approval and Rejection
It may be important for you as a warehouse manager, to be able to add comments when accepting or rejecting cycle counts. These comments assist you in taking essential notes for future reference. This new feature attempts to streamline and ensure traceability of the cycle count approval process by making it easier to capture, view, and search comments. With these modifications, you will have a more comprehensive record of your decision-making process, which will lead to better inventory management and tracking.
Quick Transfer of Active Inventory to an LPN
The RF Create LPN now allows you to rapidly and easily empty a warehouse's active inventory location and relocate it to another location. A new screen parameter “active-locn-lpn-create -mode” is now available in RF Create LPN (rf.inbound.cwrfcreatelpn) which allows you to empty a location by transferring inventory in an efficient way.
Support Packs and Cases in RF Modify Inbound LPN
WMS is now equipped to handle Packs and Cases when you perform Modify Inbound LPN. The system takes care of calculating the conversion from Packs and Cases to Primary UOM, thereby ensuring inventory accuracy. A new screen parameter “qty-uom” has been added to the RF Modify LPN module, which can be set to Units, Packs, Cases or Cases/Packs/Units depending on your operational need.
New Action Code "UPDATECREATE" in Movement Request Interface
In order to ensure seamless integration with external applications, WMS has now introduced a new action code Update_Create which can be utilized at the movement request detail level. When using this action code:
- It will Create a Movement Request Detail if the Movement Request detail does not exist
- It will Update the Movement Request Detail if the Movement Request Detail already exist
Enhancement to Movement Request to Support Required LPN and Source Location
WMS now lets you create a movement request and capture the required LPN or source location from which the inventory in WMS must be allocated against the movement request. The following two new fields are added to the Movement Request detail screen:
- Source Location Barcode (Active Locations)
- Required LPN Number (LPNs in Reserve Locations)
Capture and Display Images/Documents for Pallets
You now have the ability to capture and display images/documents for Pallets and store these images in Oracle Content Management (OCM). You can use this to capture the image of the pallet when it arrives in the warehouse or that of a pallet existing in the warehouse. A new action button “Upload Files” in Pallets UI enables you to upload the files. The Pallet/Upload Files group permission can be used to restrict access to this new action button. The "Nbr Files" hyperlink on the Pallet grid view can be used to view the files associated with a Pallet.
Support Move LPN During Replenishment Using an API
In replenishment scenarios, you may be using material handling equipment (MHE) to move the inventory. To meet this requirement, Move LPN API has been developed so as to enable integration with MHE and to help in the movement of the material during the Replenishment process.
Include Unit of Measure for Receiving Transactions in Inventory History Transactions
When you receive an inbound shipment with a UOM in the same UOM class other than the Item/ Facility Primary UOM, the system converts the quantity value received RECEIVED_QTY (BY_RECEIVING_UOM) to the Primary UOM (RECEIVING_QTY) based on the conversion factor maintained in the UOM and/ or Std Pack/ Case set at the Item master. The system additionally records the Inventory History transaction, IHT 1, IHT 72, and the related UOM values REF_CODE_17, REF_VALUE_17, REF_CODE_18, and REF_VALUE_18 and is populated to capture the actual UOM in which the inbound shipment was received and the quantity received. This information will be useful when integrating with external systems to ensure that quantity details are consistent.
Dynamic Load Assignment Based on Capacity
For some businesses, creating outbound loads based on routes or destinations is the best approach to optimise loads/containers/trailers. However, for some, this may not be the best option. To help your organization's load assignment requirements for Truck Load (TL)/Less than Truck Load (LTL), WMS now allows you to do dynamic load assignment based on trailer type capacity. You can now assign orders to loads and restrict them by capacity, such as maximum weight, volume, or LPNs associated with the Trailer type. WMS has added a new Load assignment configuration UI, as well as two new facility parameters, to enable this.
Use Container Packing Utilization Report for Sustainability Initiatives
Businesses must be sustainable in order to be viable in the long run. You may now generate Container Utilisation Reports for Outbound LPNs using Oracle WMS. This is particularly valuable for measuring the reduction in empty space in outbound shipping boxes. Reduction of packaging used for outbound shipments is one important area in measuring and fine-tuning the environmental impact of your warehouse operations,.
Enhancement to Pick Cart Functionality to Un-Assign/Re-Assign Outbound LPNs from Cart
Depending on your business scenario there may be times when Outbound LPNs need to be shifted from one cart to another owing to picks from different zones or if Outbound LPN replenishment is in progress. As a part of the Pick Cart enhancement, you can now:
- Unassign an Outbound LPN from the Cart and Assign it to a new cart
- Unassign an Outbound LPN (In-packing status) from the cart
This enhancement will help to streamline your outbound operations involving pick cart.
Improvements to Planned Load Interface
When load planning is done from an external system, WMS must be flexible to accommodate the load plan from these systems. WMS has added ten custom fields to the Planned Load Interface at the load level to provide additional extensibility. These fields allow you to make essential updates when planning a load. These custom Outbound Load fields are now included in the output interface export file to help with the loading process and will be useful when integrating the actual shipment details with external applications.
Post Packing Support for Existing Picking Task Types
Most warehouses require users to do post packing transactions on a packed outbound LPN, which is done using the RF post packing transaction. WMS now allows you to do these post packing operations straight from the picking and packing flow task types. Users will no longer need to exit the task flow to execute post-packing transactions, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency. Post packing updates are supported from within the task for Packed NC and Full LPN tasked flows.
Cancel and Unload of Outbound LPNs using REST APIs
In accordance with your business use case, you may need to make changes to your outbound LPN before or after loading. For example, when fulfilling your shipments via ports, the shipping lane/shipping carrier may change, or customs may refuse to release goods for some orders owing to a mistake or failure to pay tariffs/duties in a free trade zone. As a result, you may need to unload or cancel the OBLPNs. WMS now supports Cancel Outbound LPN, Bulk Cancel Outbound LPN, Unload OBLPN, and Bulk Unload OBLPN via REST APIs, allowing for the easy integration of data from external applications.
Record Original Order Detail Reference Number in Corresponding Inventory Histories/Shipment Confirmation
The splitting of order detail during Transportation Split generates a new sequence number for the newly created order detail. External applications may be unaware of the newly created order detail sequence number. We have added the option to identify Inventory History Transaction records with the original sequence number of the order detail. The REF_VALUE_13 field will display the original sequence number.
The Order Detail Original Sequence Number is also exposed in the Output Interface and is included when the Outbound Loads Export, OBLPN Shipping Info, Pallet Shipping Info, and Wave Pick Info files are generated.
Warehouse Workforce Management
GET and POST Product Category to Workforce Management Using a REST API
New REST APIs are introduced to get Item Line data from Workforce Management as well as post Item line data to Workforce Management. This helps external systems to seamlessly communicate with WMS on product category/item line information.
GET and POST WMS Activity Goals to Workforce Management Using a REST API
New REST APIs have been introduced to GET WMS Activity goals from Workforce Management as well as POST WMS Activity goals to Workforce Management. When integrating Workforce Management with external systems, it will aid in a seamless exchange of information.
Option to Create WMS Activity and VAS Goals for Each Month of the Year
Setting goals for your warehouse users helps to guide their focus and energy, assures process compliance, boosts productivity, and allows you to track their progress and achievements. In line with this, WMS now allows you to automatically define goals for all months of the year by making a single entry in the relevant UI and interface files. A new action button "Bulk Create" has been added In the Prod Goal Line Group and Prod Goal VAS views.

New REST APIs have been introduced to GET VAS Activity goals from Workforce Management as well as POST VAS Activity goals to Workforce Management. When integrating Workforce Management with external systems, it will aid in a seamless exchange of information.
Capture and Display Images/Documents for Inbound/Outbound LPNs in Mobile App
The Oracle WMS Mobile App LPN Inquiry screen has been enhanced to allow you to capture and display images and documents and store files in Oracle Content Management (OCM). From the LPN Inquiry screen in the WMS Mobile App, you can upload files for Inbound LPN and Outbound LPN. You can select to upload files or images from your photo library, take a photo right away, or browse through folders on your mobile device. Users in the warehouse can use this functionality to immediately capture photographs of an LPN if it comes in a damaged state, directly from the WMS Mobile App.
Support Cartonized Receiving in Mobile App
As a warehouse user, you may come across a combination of cartonized and non-cartonized ASNs. The new "Receive by SKU" toggle in the WMS Mobile App's receiving module makes it easy to do cartonized/non-cartonized receiving. The user can do cartonized receiving by disabling the "Receive by SKU" toggle in the receiving screen, and if the user needs to perform non-cartonized receiving, the user can enable "Receive by SKU" and then proceed with receiving. This can contribute to improved warehouse operational efficiency.
