Oracle Chief Security Officer Summit Tackles Growing Threats to Databases

Leading industry reports indicate that database security breaches account for a staggering 92 percent of the records stolen each year. As well, Dan Geer, author of the book Cybersecurity and National Policy, will be discussing, "Today’s and Tomorrow’s Security Challenges—An Industry Expert Perspective." Geer is an authority recognized for being the first to raise awareness of many critical computer and network security issues. Known for groundbreaking work on the economics of security, Geer is the chief information security officer for In-Q-Tel, a venture capital firm that supports the CIA.
