Oracle Volunteers

Mobilizing for what matters

Across the globe, we show up with empathy and purpose—bringing our time, skills, and ideas to expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and protect our planet. We partner with young people as they imagine and design a better future. We step up to support our neighbors and respond when help is needed most. And, just as importantly, we create moments of connection—through team volunteering, community partnerships, and shared experiences that bring people together.

Education

Helping young people learn and thrive

Oracle Volunteers help students build skills for the future. AI is already part of how we learn, work, and solve problems, and volunteers help students understand how these tools show up in everyday life and future careers. Through Technovation, Oracle Volunteers support girls and young women as they use technology, entrepreneurship, and creative problem-solving to address real-world challenges. In collaboration with Junior Achievement, we’re helping students build career readiness, financial literacy, and workplace skills that prepare them for the future. And, in India, our partnership with Going to School helps young people build confidence, curiosity, and practical skills through hands-on learning experiences.

Health

Promoting health and well-being

Oracle Volunteers come together in simple but powerful ways to support patients and promote health and well-being in their communities. Our teams regularly support blood donation drives, partnering with organizations such as the American Red Cross and Stanford Blood Center in the United States, and Bangalore Medical Services Trust and the Indian Red Cross Society in India. They also prepare meals for patients and help promote personal health literacy. In collaboration with Project C.U.R.E., volunteers in Kansas City and Nashville spent 300 hours preparing medical supplies for shipment to hospitals and clinics in resource-limited countries.

Community

Helping our neighbors in need

At home and around the globe, Oracle Volunteers show how individual acts of service can make a collective impact. That commitment is grounded in local partnerships—from packing and distributing meals at food banks to organizing collection drives supporting youth and families. In Sunland Park, New Mexico, Oracle Volunteers’ work with Casa de Peregrinos supported more than 500 families in the region through the distribution of 30,000 pounds of food, 60% of which was fresh produce. In India, work with Indian Roots Foundation provided students with essential supplies to facilitate learning. And in Japan, work with The Ikushiba! Project helped create and care for community green spaces, where people can gather, connect, and feel a sense of belonging.

Environment

Action to protect our planet

Around the world, Oracle Volunteers work to protect beaches, waterways, and coastal ecosystems through hands-on environmental projects. By removing waste from the shoreline and collecting pollution data with Los Angeles Waterkeeper, volunteers contributed to broader efforts to protect marine habitats and better address the sources of coastal pollution. They also engage in citizen science, helping advance global research and conservation efforts at scale. In FY26, more than 1,500 Oracle Volunteers supported 51 projects with the Adler Planetarium, driving initiatives such as Penguin Watch across Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, Shark Spy in New Zealand, Beluga Bits in Canada, and Chimp&See in Africa.

Employee giving

Amplifying our impact

Our employees care deeply about making a difference, and we’re proud to stand beside them. We help amplify their individual generosity with a company match so it can go further, and when moments of crisis arise, we come together to support our communities—and each other. It’s this shared sense of purpose that turns personal giving into something bigger.

Artificial intelligence learning resources

In alignment with Oracle’s AI leadership, Oracle Academy has introduced new generative AI workshops and AI Education Bytes, giving educators and students engaging ways to explore AI and build practical skills. Additionally, educators can hear from experts through the Oracle Academy Tech Chat podcast, which includes an episode exploring generative AI and Oracle APEX. Together, these free resources help students turn foundational AI knowledge into hands-on experience and prepare for what’s next.

Java and database curriculum

A robust academic curriculum can spark curiosity and imagination while building critical knowledge and skills. Oracle Academy’s free modular curriculum, designed by professional educators for educators, offers flexible learning pathways in Java and database technology that span from one semester to three years. Around the world, educators are bringing these resources to their students: An educator in Indonesia uses Java and database SQL resources in project-based courses, while a UK educator has drawn on Oracle Academy curriculum pathways, Oracle APEX, and other resources throughout his teaching career. Available in multiple languages and aligned with relevant standards and exams globally, the curriculum helps educators give students practical, engaging learning experiences.

Oracle Cloud access

Free access to Oracle Cloud through Oracle Academy saves educators time while giving students the flexibility to learn and build from anywhere. Through the Oracle Academy Cloud Program, higher education educators and students can teach, learn, explore, and develop in the cloud at no cost, without downloading or maintaining software. Students are putting that access into action worldwide: US students are building database, SQL, and generative AI skills, while students across French-speaking African countries explored Oracle Cloud, AI, and Oracle APEX at a hands-on bootcamp. In Luxembourg, Oracle experts guided students in experimenting with cloud-based Oracle Linux and Oracle Autonomous AI Database—bringing cloud technology directly into their learning experiences.

Oracle APEX accounts

Institutional members and their students can access Oracle APEX, Oracle’s cloud-based low-code development platform, free of charge for hands-on learning. Designed specifically for teaching, Oracle Academy APEX accounts support labs and applied practice alongside a database and APEX-focused curriculum. Around the world, educators and students are putting the platform to work: A database instructor in Thailand uses Oracle APEX to teach low-code development, Italian students used it to innovate during the Reboot Culture workshop series, and students in Nigeria showcased their innovation through the Future Innovation Competition.
