Seoul, South Korea—May 12, 2020

Hansol PNS, the shared services IT provider for all Hansol Group affilates, has chosen Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse to gain quick, easy and cost-effective access to advanced analytic capabilities. These systems span enterprise resource planning, manufacturing execution, supply chain management, order management, logistics and service Hansol will also greatly benefit from the ability to run advanced analytics on a single cloud data lake using built-in machine learning techniques and provide highly-visual interpretations of the results. Managers across the group’s affiliates will also be able to access the data at any time to run reports and analysis.

In the long run, Hansol PNS intends to bring external data gathered from social media channels into its integrated analytic system and also make further advancements in its AI-based data platform. To facilitate enhancement of business intelligence capabilities at the group level, Hansol PNS also plans to help the group’s affiliates operate big data platforms and draw strategic insights based on data.

“With the comprehensive analysis of structured and unstructured data generated throughout our business processes, this ‘big data’ platform powered by the autonomous database will boost group-wide data management, efficiency and insight,” said Kang Joon-seok, CEO of Hansol PNS. “Starting with the exemplary case of Hansol Paper, we will scale and expand the platform across the group to promote productivity improvement powered by data-driven innovation."

The new system will run in the Oracle Cloud provisioned from Oracle’s new Generation 2 Seoul cloud region, which is differentiated by its built in autonomous security capabilities as well as its ability to run mission-critical, high-volume, high-performance data¬bases and workloads for the world’s most demanding enterprises.
