Executive Vice President, Oracle Hospitality and Retail

Alex is responsible for driving technology innovation and delivering business-critical solutions to hospitality and retail customers worldwide. With progressive leadership roles in technology and industry operations, Alex has dedicated his career to driving business transformation through technology solutions that improve business performance and enhance the customer experience. As a business unit executive at Oracle, Alex leads the commercial, technical, and operational functions for both the hospitality and retail industry verticals. Adhering to the pillars of service orientation, innovation, and execution precision, Alex remains focused on leading his teams at Oracle Hospitality and Oracle Retail to deliver exceptional products and services for his industry clients.

With more than 20 years of industry experience in previous leadership roles, Alex spearheaded global development and strategy for renowned luxury hotel operator Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, led Sabre’s Hospitality Solutions business, and served industry clients as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. He has established a track record of growing and scaling businesses and delivering innovative technology solutions underpinned by a customer-centric service and support model.

Alex, who earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Texas, is passionate about driving business transformation and has been a featured presenter at multiple industry and customer conferences.

Cameron Hammond

Senior Vice President of Global Field Technology, Hyatt

Cameron Hammond is a seasoned leader, currently serving as the SVP of global field technology at Hyatt where he oversees a global team focused on shaping the technological landscape across a diverse array of platforms and reaching key stakeholders. With his leadership, Cameron’s team helps to ensure that Hyatt remains at the forefront of technological innovation, helping to enhance the guest, member, and customer experience while optimizing technological operational efficiency.

Cameron has been a proud member of the Hyatt family for more than 30 years, and during his illustrious career has held various global roles taking him to some incredible locales including the United States, Europe, China, and Australia. Additionally, he is a proud member of the AHLA/HTNG Global Technology 100 leadership team, helping to drive technological advancements across the broader hospitality community.

Dan Kornick

Chief Information Officer, Loews Hotels

Dan Kornick is the chief information officer at Loews Hotels in New York City, where he is responsible for all aspects of information technology, including strategy, systems development, infrastructure, IT operations, internal customer support, and working across the organization on the evolution of IT and digital capabilities. He is a global digital and global technology leader with vast experience in multiple industries, including hospitality, travel, telecom, and financial services.

Prior to Loews, he has held CIO roles with TracFone Wireless, Wyndham Hotel Group, and Cendant’s Vacation Rental Group in Europe. He has successfully led multiple business, technology, and digital transformations, focusing on the customer and team experience while leveraging the investment in technology to achieve the overall objectives for the organizations.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics, Dan has previously served as the chair of the AHLA HTNG Executive Leadership Group and on the AHLA Board of Directors. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts.

Dan is an avid triathlete and a two-time Ironman finisher.

Andrea Angiolini

Senior Vice President, Systems at Global Hotel Alliance

Andrea leads the systems team at Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), which manages IT and security as well as development and support for its loyalty and distribution platforms. On the integrations side, in addition to managing vendor interfaces, the team builds its own in-house brand and partner integrations. Andrea recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with Global Hotel Alliance.

Next year, Andrea will celebrate 30 years in the hospitality industry, where he began his career as a bell boy in his native Tuscany, Italy. Prior to joining GHA in Dubai in 2013, he worked for Micros Systems (now Oracle Hospitality) in central systems support in Galway, Ireland, and then software development in Naples, FL, before overseeing the regional (EMEA) product management team for the Opera Suite in Neuss, Germany. He is currently based in New York City.

Alex Pyhan

Chief Transformation Officer, Marriott International, Inc.

Alexander Pyhan serves as chief transformation officer at Marriott International, Inc. In this capacity, Alex leads the company’s digital and technology transformation, a multi-year effort that will transform how associates, customers, and owners experience Marriott, while unlocking new capabilities and fueling the company’s future growth. Marriott’s digital and technology transformation includes deploying a new technology ecosystem enabled by modern core cloud-enabled reservations, property management, and loyalty systems.

 Most recently, Alex served as senior vice president of global distribution. He has played an instrumental role in negotiating and delivering distribution agreements that have changed the trajectory for Marriott’s distribution strategy and its ability to drive customers to direct channels. Under Alex’s leadership, Marriott successfully negotiated a groundbreaking Wholesale Distribution Solution with Expedia, delivering significant value for hotel owners, and expanded the company’s distribution reach in China through our joint venture with Alibaba.

 Alex has spent a 30-year career in the hospitality industry starting in 1991 when he worked in several city and airport hotels in Germany. In 2003, Alex joined the Global Sales Organization at Marriott International, where he was responsible for travel agency sales in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. He moved to Marriott Corporate Headquarters in 2006 to help manage Marriott’s distribution strategy. As the scope of distribution grew over the years, so did Alex’s responsibilities, including building the inaugural distribution team outside the United States in 2009, with team members located in London and Singapore.

Alex is a native of Frankfurt, Germany and now resides in Washington, DC.

Sanjay Sharma

Chief Technology Officer, Orascom Hotels Management

A passionate leader who thrives on driving business transformation and achieving tangible outcomes through innovation and technology, Sanjay was recognized as the one of the top 10 CIOs in the Middle East in 2022 by the IDC Excellence Awards. He was awarded Constellation Research’s Business Transformation 150 (BT 150) for 2022–2023, an elite list that recognizes the top global executives leading business transformation efforts in their organizations. As the Chief Technology Officer of Orascom Hotel Management, Sanjay is responsible for driving digital transformation and change within the group. In his previous roles with Jumeirah Group and Emirates Airline, he has launched many industry-first solutions that elevated the guest experience, increased revenue, and drove down costs.

Nigel Jones

Group Operations and Transformation Director, Whitbread PLC

Nigel joined Whitbread from Tesco in the summer of 2017. He currently serves as group operations and transformation director with direct responsibility for technology, supply chain and procurement, and safety and security. In his role, he oversees all major business change programs, which have included the Costa separation, the Germany acquisition integration, and most recently, a technology transformation covering platform and digital changes.

Most recently, Nigel directed Whitbread’s transition to Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud, covering 919 hotels and 100,000 rooms across several markets and completed within 12 months, from the five live beta pilot to the project’s conclusion.

During his 27 years at Tesco, Nigel held M&A and operational leadership roles in the UK and throughout the world, including in Asia and central Europe. He lives with his wife, four children, and two dogs in a small village just north of Milton Keynes, UK.
