2: "Tony Martindale" Some models come with the ServeRAID 7k disk controller option. This does not appear to be able to provide a JBOD configuration and there isn't a suitable driver available for Solaris yet. As a work a round, simply remove 7k card (see http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/tips0054.html#support for a physical description) and configure the BIOS to use the built in "host raid" controller. Disabling the host raid function then allows Solaris to see the SCSI disks directly.
