Appendix A - Tools in /opt/SUNWhcts/bin

The following table provides a quick reference to the tools/utilities available under /opt/SUNWhcts/bin/ directory:

ftp_setup
ftp_setup [path_name]
This command sets up FTP anonymous access for using HCTS.
ftp_clean
ftp_clean
Disable HCTS FTP anonymous access.
nfs_config
nfs_config -e
Enable HCTS NFS environment.

/export/home/nfs directory will be shared.

nfs_config -r
Restore NFS modified by HCTS to the original state.
ssh_config
ssh_config -e
This command enables SSH access for using HCTS.
ssh_config -r
Restore SSH environment modified by HCTS to the original state.
net_svcs
net_svcs -c | -e | -r | -t
Enable/restore network services for HCTS network testing.

Note - To make HCTS network test cases run properly, the following services should be in the online status:

  • svc:/network/physical:default

  • svc:/network/shell:default

  • svc:/network/ftp:default

  • svc:/network/rpc/spray:default

  • svc:/network/nfs/client:default

  • svc:/network/nfs/mapid:default

    For Solaris Express Developer Edition 5/07 and later release, the following service should be in disabled status:

    • svc:/network/physical:nwam

This command is called by HCTS framework automatically before starting network test cases. In case the services listed above are still not in the desired state, run this command to put these services into proper state for HCTS network testing.

net_svcs -c
Display current state of services listed above.
net_svcs -e
Enable services required for HCTS network testing.
net_svcs -r
Restore network services modified by HCTS to original state.
net_svcs -t
Temporarily enable HCTS network services (Active until reboot).
make_mixed_mode_cd
make_mixed_mode_cd
Create a mixed-mode CD for CD/DVD reader certification and USB CD/DVD reader certification.
