Launching Configuration Analysis

Configuration Analysis can be launched in several ways:

• From within Director, by selecting View->Configuration Analysis:



This is the main way that Configuration Analysis has been designed to launch. Launching in this way allows you to integrate your investigation more closely with the Director canvas.

• From the OEDQ Launchpad, if this is enabled by your OEDQ configuration:

 

• If Configuration Analysis is launched in this way, you will not be able to navigate from your analysis results to the Director canvas.
• You can run a quick configuration report from the Director Project Browser. This provides a quick way to access configuration reporting without launching the full Configuration Analysis application. To do this, right click on a component in the Project Browser and select 'Configuration Report':

• Configuration Analysis can also be run in command line mode. This is described in more detail in the Command Line Operation topic.
